The overall role of the chair is help organise and run trustee meetings. They are responsible for ensuring that the organisation is following correct governance and meeting its charitable duties.
Chair of Bath Sound
In addition to the general responsibilities of a trustee, duties of the Chair include the following.
· Providing leadership to the organisation and the board by ensuring that everyone remains focused on the delivery of the organisation’s charitable purposes in order to provide greater public benefit
· Chairing and facilitating board meetings

About We Are Family
We Are Family is an extraordinary peer support community for adopters and prospective adopters. We’re there for parents throughout their adoption journey. Online and in person, our parents’ groups, events, resources, podcasts and talks offer mutual support, information and inspiration to adopters and those considering adoption. The Role
We are looking for new trustees to strengthen and enhance our board. The key responsibilities of the role include, governance, overseeing policy and direction, financial oversight and assisting with the leadership and general promotion of We Are Family to support the organisation’s Vision, Mission, Values and needs.
This is a voluntary opportunity with associated Trustee expenses - such as travel / childcare - covered by We Are Family. Trustees can be based anywhere in the UK.
Commitment
Trustee capacity to devote the time needed for the following is essential:

We estimate 8-10 hours for the charity per month. The duration of membership for a new Board member is for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of appointment for a further three year term.

We are Wales' most influential think tank. We are looking for up to four new people to join our team as several long-standing trustees stand down.
Trustees are responsible for all aspects of the Bevan Foundation’s business, although much of the day to day running is delegated to staff. PIP works mainly in the Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster communities to support adults with learning disabilities and autism. Our focus is on teaching and learning life skills so those we work with self-identify as PiP students. Ranging in age from 18 to 92, our average student is around 34 years old.
PiP students have a range of learning disabilities including Down's Syndrome, Fragile X, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), dual diagnosis with mental health problems and/or physical health conditions such as Diabetes and Epilepsy.

Better Together Learning Trust came into being in September 2017 and is currently comprised of one Academy, Friars Academy, and a free school, Chelveston Road School.
Both schools provide education for children and young people with special educational needs aged 11 to 19 in North Northamptonshire. Friars Academy has been rated outstanding by Ofsted in two inspections in June 2015 and 2019, and Chelveston Road School was rated good in 2023.

Role and person specification
We are looking to recruit two Director’s to join an established Board of six other Trustees. The person’s role is as follows:
· To advise, support and hold to account the leadership team of the Trust as it seeks to grow the Trust
· To utilise their commercial knowledge to advise the Trust Board in the development of its strategy
The person will also act with other directors to develop a clear vision and strategic direction for the MAT and to oversee the prudent use of resources in accordance with company and charity law. The successful candidate will have a track record of working at a strategic level in organisations and preferably a background in leading and developing a business. Like other directors, the applicant needs to have a passion for education and ambition for those with special educational needs.
Commitment of time
The applicant will need to commit to meeting as a Board 6 times a year, which may include an annual strategic review day, and in a sub-committee 3 times a year. There may also be ad hoc face-to-face meetings which consist of hearing appeals or complaints. Board and Committee meetings start at 6pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays and are face-to-face during term time. Sub-committee meetings commence at 4.15pm.

About Us
At VCHP, we believe that everyone deserves the right to clear vision and eye health. Since 2003, we've been on a mission to provide comprehensive eye care services to individuals experiencing homelessness across the UK. From eye exams to prescription glasses, we're committed to ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to their vision. Now, as we look to the future, we're seeking dynamic individuals to join our board and help guide our strategic direction.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board. Do you know how to positively challenge the status quo? At VCHP, we're on a mission to provide essential support to those experiencing homelessness, and as we move forward, we recognise the importance of having a diverse and skilled board to guide our efforts effectively. We're currently seeking individuals who can bring specific expertise to address the existing skills gaps on our board. We're particularly interested in candidates who possess one or more of the following skills and experiences:
- Board Experience: To provide strategic leadership and governance oversight.
- Digital Skills: To navigate the digital landscape and leverage technology for organisational growth.
- Cybersecurity: To ensure the security and integrity of our digital infrastructure.
- Lived experience of homelessness or experience as a service user: To offer firsthand insights into the needs and challenges of our service users.
- Charity Law and Compliance: To ensure that we operate in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Policy Development: To develop robust policies that align with our mission and support our organizational objectives.
