We’re looking for a volunteer photographer/videographer to help us capture key moments at upcoming events.
This could suit:

Photographic experience is essential, as is having your own equipment. In addition, we would love our volunteer to share our passion for One Medicine.
What we want from you
The volunteer photographer/videographer will produce a portfolio of high quality, varied and creative images or video clips from the events that will capture the atmosphere of the day. After the event, you will undertake any editing needed and then share the completed portfolio with us. The images will be used for promotional purposes, so it’s a great chance to build your portfolio and share your photography.

The first opportunity is at our Golf Day on Thursday, 18 September 2025 at Old Thorns Hotel and Resort in Hampshire, but we do have other events throughout the year, so this role could lead to further opportunities for the right person.

The Role
As our volunteer Videographer/Editor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality video content for our social media channels, website, and digital communications.
Your key duties will include:

Filming and capturing footage of key moments, interviews, and events (both virtual and, if applicable, in-person).

Editing video clips into short, engaging stories and promotional content.

Adding visual elements such as titles, graphics, and music to enhance the final product.

Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a proactive and creative individual who:

Has experience in filming and video editing.

A great opportunity for a professional photographer/videographer to be part of history as they capture the soul of the world's biggest film festival that is reaching millions in over 120 countries.
Your photographs and videos can inspire millions to participate at the festival.
You will be capturing all of the best moments of the festival starting from opening of the festival at one of London's icon site. Capture interviews of leaders and celebrities. Cover the screening and awards at the red-carpet awards function to be attended by OSCAR and BAFTA winning celebrities, leaders in sustainability, leading industry professionals and many more.
- You may cover interviews with leaders and celebs at the screenings and awards in Oct/Nov (subject to your availability) .
- If you can edit the videos as well that's a bonus (not mandatory).
- You should have your own or have access to minimum gears such as camera, small portable lights etc.
What are we looking for?
- You should be an experienced photographer/videographer
- Video and photo editing skills desirable
- Have own gear and software

This can give you an idea of the need for this initiative to educate the common man about the UN SDGs, its significance and the importance of inspiring them to act on the UN SDGs.
Your initiatives will ensure that the film festival gets even more notoriety and visibility, thus improving its ability to educate more people about the UN SDGs, boost the festival's public profile, increase the festival's participation, and enhance the support from individuals and organisations.

Level the Playing Field in Development (LPFDev)
Level the Playing Field in Development (LPFDev) is a volunteer-led community challenging harmful narratives and practices in the global development sector through a decolonial lens. By addressing entrenched colonial structures, LPFDev advocates for equity, anti-racism, and decolonisation approaches that move beyond theory into practical solutions. The initiative fosters collective intentionality within the development community, creating safe spaces for open, candid dialogue while promoting more inclusive and just practices. Volunteers are welcomed with openness and creativity, encouraged to contribute their skills, learn collaboratively, and help reshape development into a field rooted in fairness, dignity, and shared global responsibility.
Content Creators (Writers, Videographers, Photographers, Graphic Designers)
Beyond Aid Narratives an initiative created by Level the Playing Field in Development (LPFDev) to shift traditional aid narratives about Africa. The mission of the initiative is to highlight African excellence, innovation, and cultural richness by amplifying authentic African voices and stories rooted in local agency, changing the way the global development sector views Africa and, to ultimately shape programming, communications and fundraising. We foster education and reshape perceptions through compelling storytelling and vibrant visual content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging content aligned with Beyond Aid Narratives’ pillars
- Produce authentic first-person stories, photo essays, videos, and Reels
- Collaborate with the LPFDev team to maintain consistency with posting schedules, brand style, and community engagement strategies
- Contribute innovative ideas and help grow an engaged audience interested in genuine African narratives
Specific Roles:
1) Writers/Storytellers: Create narrative and educational content, scripts for video storytelling, and compelling social media captions centered on African perspectives
2) Videographers/Editors: Capture and edit dynamic videos for Reels, IGTV, and Stories emphasising real African experiences and achievements
3) Photographers: Provide striking images for galleries, photo essays, and posts highlighting Africa’s beauty and diversity
4) Graphic Designers: Design visually appealing infographics, carousel posts, and educational visuals that simplify complex topics and engage the audience
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong passion for African development, culture, and positive representation aligned with LPFDev’s vision
- Proven skills and experience in your creative discipline (writing, video, photography, design)
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate remotely with a diverse team
- Familiarity with Instagram and social media best practices is an advantage
- Commitment to authenticity, respect for African narratives, and cultural sensitivity
