Volunteer Mini Bus Helpers needed for Mini Hours: Tuesday – Friday 8.45am to 10:15am and 3pm to 5pm
Depending on your time available to volunteer these hours can be a role-share with another volunteer or volunteers. Any help on any days and any hours you can give will be appreciated.
Why Volunteer for this role:This would be an interesting sociable role meeting older people in the surrounding villages around Godalming, Milford, Chiddingfold, Witley, Elstead, Wormley and you would meet the local people bringing them from and back to their homes.
Role purpose: Volunteer helpers needed for our Mini-bus reaching out to local areas in our Community bringing passengers/guests, to and from their homes, to the Clockhouse Community Centre, Chapel Lane Milford.
You will be friendly and enjoy meeting people and you will travel in local areas on the minibus with the Driver. You will be monitoring the passengers letting the driver know of any issues.

Would suit retired people, people who work part-time, students (18+), job seekers, or anyone that can spare a morning and / or afternoon on any day from Tuesday to Friday, when our minibus is running.
You do not need a driving licence, just the mobility to get on and off the bus at the many stops and help people get on board. We appreciate your help.

As a volunteer group coordinator, you will set up or coordinate an activity group in your local area.
You will coordinate activity-based groups for people aged 75 and over in community centres, pubs or church spaces. Groups will host activity guests, along with our volunteer drivers who pick up and drop off our activity guests.
Activities can vary from chair fitness, dancing, yoga and boules to singing, Tai-Chi or coming up with your own activity to get people moving. Groups meet for around two hours on a monthly or fortnightly basis and activities must be inclusive for all activity guests.
You will be required to complete a DBS check for this role, for which Re-engage will cover the cost.
Tasks include:
- Setting up and coordinating a monthly or fortnightly activity group, with the support of Re-engage.
- Contacting volunteers and contacting activity guests prior to each activity group.
- Arranging the activities for the group. Activities must have an element of light physical activity.
- Keeping in regular contact with your group of volunteers and sharing any updates from Re-engage that are relevant to them.
- Following the guidance in your training modules to ensure that your group activity sessions are enjoyable, appropriate and in line with our charitable aims.
This is a voluntary role that will require you to organise the monthly or fortnightly activity groups which usually take place in the same venue.
If you are setting up a new group in your area, it is your role to support setting up these groups, sourcing a venue, arranging an activity, and ensuring activity guests and volunteers are contacted prior to the monthly or fortnightly group activities.
Attendance is not essential at every group but is expected periodically throughout the year. You will need to confirm attendance with our volunteer drivers and activity leads who will arrange pick-ups.
This is a long-term voluntary role, so we are ideally looking for individuals who can commit to volunteering with us for at least 12 months.

As an event volunteer you will play a vital role by raising awareness of our services, assisting with fundraising and engaging with the local community.You will represent Magpas Air Ambulance at a wide range of events indoors and outdoors, come rain or shine. You may be assisting with car parking, meeting and greeting, setting up a stall, selling merchandise, engaging the public and answering questions. Magpas Air Ambulance have a presence at over 150 events each year and need reliable, friendly people like you to help us achieve this. Shift patterns

Furniture Now! is an East Sussex chain of charity furniture stores, part of the Now! charity group Ltd. We aim to end local poverty and fight for the environment. ·Responsible for gift aid process improvement and development of existing processes to ensure they are fit for the purpose.
Maintain compliance framework in line with HMRC & General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Connection Support has a range of services providing support to people at risk of homelessness or on the edge of needing social care. We work with people made vulnerable through debt, family circumstances, mental health issues, substance misuse, care leavers, learning disability, age, and physical disabilities.
Volunteers play a key role in the provision of vital services to our clients.
Can you be the link between us and our clients, dropping of food and furniture where it’s needed?
- Do you have 1-2 hours a week to give to vulnerable clients needing food, help with a move or furniture picked up, loaded, and dropped off?
- Can we rely and depend on you to commit to a period of up to 12 weeks?

- Drivers will need be able to take apart large items of furniture for packing and removal, loading them into your vehicle, securing them safely and driving to a new location to unload them
- Collecting food from food banks and dropping to clients’ homes
- Collecting furniture for clients and dropping to their accommodation

Why am I needed?
Our shops depend on a regular supply of quality donated stock. As some shops receive more donations than others, we need drivers to move stock between our shops to ensure they are all fully stocked.
Our fantastic supporters rely on stock donations being collected from their door when they are unable to bring it to us. Here at Tenovus Cancer Care we receive donated stock in many different ways, and this includes us collecting stock from supporters at their front door and picking up collections from local business partners.
All of this vital work needs to happen for us to raise more money to help cancer patients and their families.
What will I be doing?
Dependant on your volunteer location, duties may include but may not be limited to:
Predominantly assisting the Retail team in moving stock between shops
Taking this donated stock to shops and to the Warehouse
Delivering donation bags to homes in selected areas and collecting the full bags on an agreed day
Collecting donations at businesses where our ‘Donation Stations’ are located
Offering feedback to the Retail team on how to improve the collections service.
What skills and qualities do I need?
An enthusiasm for the work of Tenovus Cancer Care
A good level of fitness and enjoy being outside
Good communication skills to be able to respond positively with any queries from members of the pubic
Reliability, honesty and like helping as part of a team
This role would suit a proactive and outgoing person who enjoys meeting with others
The ability to drive and have a good size car or van is essential for the driving role if based at one of our shops. You will need to check with your car insurers that you are insured for business use before starting with us (this can usually be arranged at no extra cost) and your driving licence and business insurance will need to be checked before you can start.
How much time do I need to commit?
This can be discussed with the Retail team and hours are very flexible to fit around you – please note on your application how much time you can give.
What support and training will I be given?
A dedicated member of staff will be on hand to offer you advice, support and guidance in your role.
