Job description

Salary: £31,114 per annum

Hours: 37 per week

Based: Flexible with travel across UK including the Liverpool Head Office

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

This is an exciting new role, created as part of our investment in income generation for our five year transformational strategic plan. As our fundraising lead you will work as part of the communications team to create and deliver an income generation strategy to develop our work promoting and celebrating the contribution of people with personal experience of supportive shared living.

You will be responsible for leading the organisation in generating new income (with support from colleagues) from a variety of sources including individual donors, events, corporate sponsorship, lottery and assisting with project grants.

You will need to have the ability to be a strategic thinker and have the energy to kickstart our fundraising plan and help lead the organisation in unrestricted income generation. The role has the potential to grow depending on the success of the organisation.

We are looking for an individual who understands and believes in our ethos and is ready to join us on our journey.

Job objectives

1. Corporate: raise money from local, national and international businesses, working in association with our corporate fundraising agency.

2. Individual giving: maintain, promote and manage our existing outsourced weekly lottery offer. Build, promote and support a series of fundraising events (using existing organised events) to raise our profile and donations.

3. Community: recruit, motivate, organise and facilitate supporters to raise money for our work – building a community that will help sustain our work. Work with targeted small/local businesses to facilitate community fundraising and awareness raising.

4. Trusts and foundations: Helping to apply for grant proposals for grants from funders whose values are aligned to our own.

5. General: to contribute to the health, sustainability and ethical development of Shared Lives Plus
