Be part of something special and volunteer at MS Walk London. Join an incredible team of volunteers who will be helping to make MS Walk 2025 bigger and better than ever.

The 2025 event will have around 700 participants who will be walking through London on either the 1km, 5km, 10km or 20km route.

Together these participants will be hoping to raise over 100,000 for the MS Society to help support the MS Community.

There are various roles available on the day from making some noise and encouraging our walkers, to looking after the route and handing out medals at the finish.

Join our team of MS Walk volunteers and support everyone who is walking, rolling and strolling to stop MS.

You'll be required on Saturday 27th September 2025 for one day and there are various times throughout the day. Shifts will be from 2-6 hours depending on role and location.

There are no specific skills required just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.’

The Finance Committee oversees on how the RTPI’s financial assets are being managed and employed for the benefits of our members. The Committee is a mix of members of the RTPI Board of Trustees and independent co-opted members. It reports directly to the Board who then report to the General Assembly.

Outline of role

Review funding requests and financial information. Bring analysis, constructive challenge and an independent perspective to the Committee’s discussions and decision-making.

Impact of the role

The Board of Trustee has delegated some of its responsibilities relating to the review of financial information, the oversight of major projects and investment management to the Finance Committee. Members of the Finance Committee assist the RTPI by providing an additional layer of scrutiny and assurance to support the RTPI Board’s decision-making.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to both RTPI members and non-members
• Experience in reviewing management accounts, budgets and long-term financial plans
• Experience in overseeing the management of investments and/or
• Experience in reviewing major project funding requests

Citizens Advice Merton and Lambeth is a local charity dedicated to providing information, support and advice to individuals and families who live, work or study in Merton or Lambeth. We also work to raise awareness and understanding of the challenging issues affecting our clients and communities.

The Research and Campaigns volunteer will support CAML in its aims by researching and gathering information and evidence from our advisers on key issues adversely affecting residents in the boroughs of Merton and Lambeth, in order to make a positive difference to their lives through local and national campaigns.

Aim of this role

Raise awareness of Research and Campaigns

- Keep up-to-date with trends of the concerns affecting clients locally as well as areas identified by national Citizens Advice, and raise call for evidence

- Research and gather quality information on key issues affecting local residents

- Prepare and provide letters, reports and content about the work of the organisation and the impact of funded services

- Ensure all volunteers/staff are aware of the purpose of Research and Campaigns and how to write evidence forms

- Produce useful, appealing and easily accessible campaign materials and publications for informational purposes.

- Campaign at local and national level

- Feed back to assessors and advisers on the results of their work and provide them with assistance in completing evidence forms.

Locations

This role is based in our Mitcham office with some occasional traveling to our other offices in Morden and Kennington. All three offices are well-connected to public transport, and the office in Mitcham has a car park.

- The ability to build and maintain professional relationships and contribute constructively as part of the R&C team, as well as wider CAML team

- Good report-writing skills with the ability to condense important information and explain to a range of audiences. Able to research, analyse and explain complex information

- You will have good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work towards set deadlines. Ability to work on own initiative, within given guidelines

- Confidence in using a range of IT software to research and analyse data

- Satisfactory references are required before joining the charity

ROLDA UK is registered charity that is dedicated to rescuing stray dogs in Romania, caring for them and ultimately finding them a forever home.

 Foster Carer's are crucial in our adoption process - they allow us to offer a seamless aftercare system that supports dogs if their initial adoptive home doesn't work out. As a foster carer, you will be on hand when you can to step in and offer our dogs a temporary home whilst they await their forever home - meaning we don't have to put our dogs in external kennels.

You will provide our special dogs a home away from home, be instrumental in their training and socialisation, assist in helping them meet their new, potential families. Our dogs come from a range of backgrounds so whilst experience with dogs is certainly useful, it is not necesarry as you will be guided and supported by our experienced team every step of the way. 

We do ask that:
-You are over the age of 23
-You are based in the UK
-You have a car and are confident transporting dogs to the vets/onward home
-Secure garden access
-Ideally no other pets or children but get in touch and we can discuss this on a one to one basis

Office Volunteer

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is seeking a London-based administrative volunteer to assist at its London (Kings Cross) office. This opportunity is ideal for anyone interested in office administration and in being part of an organisation that is changing the way society views and treats animals.

The volunteer will help with the daily operations of PETA’s London office, including assisting with administrative tasks, collecting and organising supplies, preparing mailings, supporting the Fur Amnesty programme, and other tasks which help the organisation run efficiently. Training will be provided, and the volunteer will also have the chance to learn how different departments work together to support PETA’s advocacy efforts.

We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal communication skills who is organised, proactive and committed to PETA’s objectives. A willingness to help with physical tasks such as lifting boxes and transporting supplies is important, and adherence to a vegan lifestyle is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to volunteering two days a week for at least three months.

Although this volunteer position is not salaried, PETA will reimburse travel costs to and from the office (within London).

Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events.
