Job description

About Urban Youth

Urban Youth is a brand-new grassroots youth work charity dedicated to empowering young Londoners aged 11–19 years old. We’re building a vibrant community where young people from all backgrounds—especially those from deprived areas—can thrive, connect, and access transformative opportunities. Our mission is to break down barriers to adolescence, reduce crime and antisocial behaviour, and create spaces filled with dignity, creativity, and hope.

We will be working directly with local youth, offering exciting programmes that will spark growth, build confidence, and celebrate identity. Now, we need a bold, urban-styled logo that reflects our energy and vision—and that’s where you come in.

The Volunteer Role

We’re looking for a talented Volunteer Graphic Designer to create a powerful, urban-inspired logo that resonates with young people across London. This is a chance to shape the visual identity of a charity that’s all about community, creativity, and change.

You’ll be:

  • Designing a logo that’s fresh, edgy, and emotionally resonant for 11–19-year-olds in the inner London city areas.

  • Capturing the spirit of London’s youth culture—vibrant, diverse, and full of potential.

  • Collaborating with our founding team to reflect our values and grassroots ethos.

  • Helping us build a brand that young people are proud to wear, share, and stand behind.

What We’re Looking For

  • A designer with a strong sense of visual hierarchy and urban style.

  • Experience (or passion) for youth-focused design and branding.

  • Someone who can work independently but values collaboration and feedback.

  • A portfolio that shows creativity, clarity, and emotional impact.

Why Volunteer With Us?

  • Be part of something meaningful from the ground up.

  • Use your skills to make a lasting difference in young lives.

  • Gain experience in charity branding and youth engagement.

  • Join a passionate team committed to real change.

Ready to Apply?

If you’re excited to help shape a brand that uplifts and inspires young Londoners, we’d love to hear from you. Please send us your portfolio, a short cover letter, and any initial ideas or inspirations you’d love to explore.

Let’s build something unforgettable—together.
