Who are we looking for?
At present we are working towards being fully operational, over the next year Living Reasons will be looking to expand its reach and part of that journey is to develop an online food bank, allowing people access to a food bank that may not get help through their local council/Job Centre and may only want to use the service online.
People may want to use the online service of a food bank for many reasons, whether due to disability or not.
The role of Project Co-ordinator role will oversee this project with guidance and input from the trustees, lived experience board members and with the support of other co-ordinators that are relevant to the outreach, funding and running of the service.

Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK.
In northern France we operate year-round from Calais, providing warm clothing, bedding, food and assistance to refugees who live in appalling and dangerous conditions.
Across the UK we collect and distribute clothes, shoes, mobile phones and other essential items, as well as offering social support and interaction, including language lessons, sport and music workshops. We also help with vital access to legal, medical and educational services.
Our Legal Access Department is an access to justice project that exists to arrange critical legal representation for people seeking asylum and, more than this, to support people through the hostility and difficulty of claiming asylum. The department, made up mostly of volunteers, works tirelessly to ensure that people feel informed, empowered, and far less isolated and alone.
About the team:
The Public Law team operates within our Legal Access Department, which works to support clients navigating the complex and often traumatic asylum system in the UK. The Public Law team's main focus is on challenging issues relating to Home Office-provided accommodation. We support hundreds of clients accommodated at former MoD site RAF Wethersfield and in Home Office-run hotels across the UK. We provide one-to-one casework for individuals in unsuitable accommodation, gathering information to support a transfer request to more suitable accommodation, and gathering data and evidence for wider legal challenges and advocacy work. We believe that people seeking asylum have a right to feel safe in their accommodation.

Al Naasih is Hidayah’s 1-to-1 mentoring programme that supports queer Muslims as they navigate the intersections of their faith and identity. Mentors are trained and matched with mentees seeking guidance and support around personal, spiritual, and emotional challenges. The programme has grown steadily since its launch in 2020, and is now seeking a dedicated Programme Coordinator to help manage and grow its impact.
The Programme Coordinator will provide vital administrative, organisational and operational support to the Programme Lead to ensure the smooth running of the Al Naasih mentoring programme. This includes supporting mentor/mentee onboarding, tracking engagement, maintaining documentation and assisting with communication and evaluation processes.

What are the key responsibilities of this role?
This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:
Programme Administration
· Support the onboarding of new mentors and mentees (e.g. scheduling interviews, collecting forms)

We currently have a very active board of 5 trustees and are looking for additional board members to expand on current skillset and help the charity deliver even better service to our community in a sustainable and optimised way.
Specifically, we need our new board members to help us manage financial risks, optimise ways the charity operates and help us secure funding for our future. While helpful, previous or current trustee board experience is not essential – while you need to be willing and able to understand and accept the responsibilities of being a trustee, this could be your first board role.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
Alongside our existing board members, you will be jointly involved in all board responsibilities, shaping the future direction of the charity and helping ensure the charity is carrying out its purpose and all resources and funds are used only in furthering its charitable objective. You will be preparing for and attending monthly board meetings, contributing to board discussions and decision making, and assisting in setting the direction for future fundraising efforts.
Working closely with the Chair of Trustees and Finance Officer you will:

Oversee our charity’s financial health and administration, ensuring our strategic objectives and legal / regulatory obligations are met and all financial risks are managed

Provide guidance on the charity's financial viability and strategy and the financial implications of strategic and operational plans

Report financial information - budgets, internal management accounts, and annual financial statements - to the board.

Ensure we maintain proper accounting records and robust financial controls, as required by statutory bodies.

Lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of financial reserves, cost management, financial and investment activity and policies, ensuring alignment with our aims and legal responsibilities.

Act as a signatory for banking processes and funding applications.

In a nutshell, at HMC, we stand up against hatred and all forms of racism, bigotry, intolerance, and prejudice. Hatred Monitoring Centre aims to regularly monitor and track online (offline) hatred campaigns ― disinformation/misinformation, learn how to anticipate violence associated with these campaigns and challenge its propagation.
To achieve this mission, HMC tries to understand and compare online debates across different socio-political and culture contexts. HMC is looking for dedicated research analyst coordinator to voluntarily support our team of volunteers working on some projects. The projects span from tracking, recording, and creating datasets of inflammatory language, hate speech and disinformation to reporting and empowering affected communities. The projects are part of HMC's efforts to understand how social media platforms are used to collectively blame minorities. HMC is looking for four (4) research analyst coordinators to support these teams of volunteers. The role of the research analyst coordinator involves the following taks and duties:
- Coordinate and manage volunteers’ teams: The task involves supervising the team of volunteers in their efforts to collect, record and asses the datasets in relation to hate speech and disinformation affecting minorities. Work closely with data analysts to identify mechanisms to collect relevant information from specific social media platforms or web media (this implies understanding the role of keywords to be used during the process of data collection). Research analyst coordinators will help in scheduling and splitting tasks among volunteers, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, while ensuring quality control.
- Comply with research objectivity, ethics and principles: Research analyst coordinators have the duty to make sure that the data collection and analysis comply with research objectivity, and methodological principles; but also, understand the necessity to observe data privacy and ethical issues.
- Data Collection & Monitoring: Research analyst coordinators will support the data analysts in setting up mechanisms that help in collect posts/tweets/comments, flag or archive content according to criteria (hate-speech types, target groups, severity) and will ensure that data is gathered in a systematic, reproducible way.
- Reporting & Dissemination: Research analyst coordinators will closely work with data analysts to analyse and compile the findings into reports that summarise trends, patterns and key insights―recommendations. Help in coordinating data analysts in produce visualisations (charts, graphs) to illustrate patterns. Research analyst coordinators will contribute to identifying strategies disseminate the findings.
