Role responsbilities

Content Creation: Generate compelling and engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter,, LinkedIn) that aligns with Engineers Without Borders International's mission and core goals. This includes but is not limited to creating posts, graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.

Content Curation: Stay informed about global engineering projects, humanitarian initiatives, and sustainability efforts to curate relevant content for our audience. Utilise credible sources to share impactful stories, success stories, and updates from Engineers Without Borders organisations worldwide.

Community Engagement: Foster meaningful interactions with our online community by responding to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Encourage dialogue, share resources, keep our website updated and build relationships with followers to promote a sense of belonging and involvement in our movement.

Campaign Support: Collaborate with colleagues, our external marketing support and global communications representatives to support ongoing campaigns, fundraising efforts, and awareness initiatives. Create content that effectively communicates campaign messages, drives engagement, and encourages action among our target audience.

We are looking for someone who has

• A passion for social justice, sustainability, and global development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically in unpacking and communicating complex concepts in a digestible format.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms and familiarity with social media management tools.
• Experience with graphic design, specifically Canva.
• Experience with website editing tools such as WordPress.

Do you want to help us end the abuse of animals raised for food? In this flexible role, you will create change for animals by attending in-person events and taking campaign actions from home at a time that works for you. 

Why join us? We exist to end the abuse of animals raised for food. We work specifically on corporate focused campaigns demanding better welfare practices for chickens. This flexible and rewarding role is perfect for those looking to make a difference for farmed animals but without the strict time commitment. There are no set hours, you can get involved whenever you are free. Whether you're a student, retired, working full time, or somewhere in between - we would love to welcome you.

As a Campaign Volunteer, you will help us drive change for farmed animals by: 

• Joining us for in-person events locally, and nationally (this may include peaceful protests, public outreach and informal meet-ups). All relevant expenses will be paid.

• Taking part in campaign actions from home including writing emails and letters, making phone calls and social media actions

• Connecting with your MP to campaign for change

We cover expenses to join us at in-person events, so you can be based anywhere and still get involved. No prior experience is required, we’ll give you everything you need. There is no set time commitment, but roughly 2-4 hours a month is average for this role, depending on how much you choose to get involved with.

Are you an Indonesian citizen with aspirations of leading an institution, school, or non-profit? Overview

IHF, an award-winning International Non-profit established in 2001, is on a mission to (1) educate impoverished children, igniting their highest potential and fostering loving, healthy communities, and (2) enlighten global citizens through hands-on experiences, both online and in person. The Role

As a GLD participant, you'll engage in four hours of local on-site tasks in addition to four hours per day as a member of various International Online Teams. Your local tasks may include, but are not limited to:

• Providing hands-on support for the center's daily operations

• Enhancing our children's education by participating in our online mentor and Study-Buddy programs

Essential Requirements

We welcome volunteers who:

Eligibility

The program calls for a college diploma or university degree and a minimum commitment of four months, although we encourage volunteers to stay for up to one year. All volunteers enjoy one day off per week and a four-day holiday per month.

As a dog fosterer, you would be supporting the RSPCA in providing our dogs with the safety of your home whilst tending to their welfare needs such as feeding and grooming. In addition to this, by providing a temporary loving environment, you will play a crucial role in a dog’s wellbeing and socialisation, which will significantly improve their chances of successful rehoming.

Once everything is in place, the animal centre will guide you through the fostering process and ensure that you have all the necessary equipment, food, and veterinary care for your fostered dog. The RSPCA is also happy to reimburse any other pre-agreed expenses that you may incur through volunteering for us.

Whilst our dogs are in your foster care, you will:

-       Provide them with care, suitable housing, and a safe environment as per our policies and guidelines.

- Feed, water, and groom them in line with our advice.

- Transport them to any veterinary appointments if required.

- Provide them with your time and patience.

- Help us spread the word about the dogs in your care so they might find their forever home quicker.

- Playing and cuddles are also a must as well as a comfy bed!

- Volunteers aged 18 or over who have had plenty of experience caring for dogs.

- You will need a secure garden and plenty of time to spend with our dog.

- Fostering experience is beneficial but not essential as training is provided.

- For their wellbeing, our dogs need the whole family to be on board and supportive.

- Any existing pets or animals need to have been spayed/neutered (some medical reasons may mean they can’t be so, please let us know if this is the case).

The overall role of a treasurer is to:

• Maintain an overview of the organisation's affairs
• Ensuring its financial viability
• Ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.

In small charities without paid staff the treasurer may take a greater role in the day-to-day finances of the organisation.

General responsibilities

• To ensure that the organisation complies with its governing document, community interest company law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
• To ensure that the organisation pursues its objects as defined in its governing document.
• To ensure the organisation applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects (the community interest company must not spend money on activities which are not included in its own objects, no matter how worthwhile or charitable those activities are).
• To contribute actively to the board of trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
• To safeguard the good name and values of the organisation.
• To ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
• To ensure the financial stability of the organisation.
• To protect and manage the property of the community interest company and to ensure the proper investment of the community interest company's funds.

• Ensuring that there is no conflict between any investment held and the aims and objects of the community interest company
