Role Overview
As the HR Recruitment Assistant, you will primarily focus on managing and scheduling interviews for various positions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of recruitment processes, exceptional screening skills, understanding of the onboarding process and the ability to engage and evaluate candidates effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Interview Management: Take ownership of the end-to-end interview process, from scheduling and coordinating interviews to conducting them. Ensure a seamless and professional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Candidate Evaluation: Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit, and provide feedback to hiring managers. Use behavioural interviewing techniques and other assessment tools to gauge suitability.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team culture, and key competencies needed for each position.
Candidate Engagement: Build strong relationships with candidates, providing them with timely updates and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process.
Reporting & Analytics: Track and report interview metrics, including candidate feedback, time-to-hire, and any recruitment challenges. Use data to continually improve the interview process.
Onboarding Support: Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from interview to onboarding for successful candidates.
Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure that all interview processes adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and best practices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Key Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 1+ years of experience in recruitment, specifically in conducting interviews and managing the interview process.
Education: A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is a plus.
Interviewing Expertise: Strong background in conducting interviews, including using behavioural and situational interview techniques.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence candidates and hiring managers effectively.
Attention to Detail: Ability to assess candidates thoroughly and provide insightful feedback to ensure the right hiring decisions are made.
Technology: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and MS Office. Familiarity with interview scheduling tools and recruitment platforms is beneficial.
Problem-Solving: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK is a 16-week unpaid Professional Development Programme. It requires a commitment of at least 12 hours per week, typically across two 6-hour workdays (Monday to Friday).

Role Description:
Quilombo UK is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Services Sales Executive to join our team through the Enhanced Professional Development Programme (ePDP). This is a target-driven, client-facing volunteer sales role focused on direct outreach and conversion of potential service users into paying clients. You will be responsible for actively identifying leads, initiating conversations, pitching our services, and closing deals.

As a member of the Sales Business Development function, you will be managed by a Director and accountable for results that directly impact the organisation’s financial sustainability and growth. This role provides real-world, high-impact experience that mirrors the standards and performance expectations of a paid sales role.
Main Responsibilities:
● Proactively research and identify prospective clients aligned with Quilombo UK’s mission and services.
● Initiate direct outreach (calls, emails, online meetings) to decision-makers across public and private sectors.
● Deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations tailored to each client’s needs.
● Handle end-to-end sales processes, from lead generation and qualification through to closing deals.
● Secure confirmed bookings or contracts for services, including workshops, training, research, or event partnerships.
● Develop and maintain a strong client pipeline, updating CRM or tracking systems regularly.
● Consistently meet or exceed weekly/monthly KPIs related to outreach, meetings, and conversions.
● Collaborate with the Director to refine messaging and sales strategy for maximum impact.
● Maintain a consultative, value-led sales approach while staying aligned with Quilombo UK’s mission and ethos.
● Provide performance updates and sales reports to the Director and Senior Leadership Team.
● Stay updated on industry trends, client needs, and potential growth areas relevant to our services.
Essential:
● Demonstrated experience in a sales, business development, or account management role
● Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals, preferably in a service-based or social enterprise environment
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong presentation and negotiation abilities
● Confidence to work independently and take initiative, while collaborating within a remote team

Overview
The Bikeability Trust is establishing a new Fundraising & Events Board to strengthen governance around appeals, and to support the Trust in developing a sustainable income stream through our strategic objective of providing increased access to cycles for young people.
Currently a quarter of all 5-to-10-year olds do not have access to a cycle. Through appeals and individual giving fundraising, the Trust aims to raise £25,000 to support families through a bursary-style investment to allow parents to purchase cycles for their children. Not only will this allow children to support their Bikeability cycle training, but it will also give children the freedom to benefit from the impact cycling has on their health and wellbeing.
This is a unique opportunity to join at the inception of a high-impact Board that will provide expert oversight of appeals related to Bikeability delivery, while also advising and supporting the Trust’s leadership team as we grow and diversify our funding model.
We are seeking up to five Board Members, each bringing a distinctive area of expertise, who are committed to the Bikeability Trust’s mission: to help more people – especially children – gain the confidence and skills to cycle safely.
Core Role Description (applies to all Board Members)
All members of the Fundraising & Events Board will:

Provide fair, impartial, and timely oversight of fundraising appeals organised and developed at the Bikeability Trust relating to planning, delivery, quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation.

Ensure decisions are consistent, well-evidenced, and uphold the integrity of the Trust’s values and mission.

Offer strategic guidance to the Trust’s internal working group on income generation, particularly through the fundraising and events income generation channels

Contribute to, through support and network-sharing. and attend high-value donor or partnership events, helping to inspire support, generate funds and promote the impact of the Trust’s work.

Support the Trust in developing new partnerships, making connections, and identifying potential funding opportunities.

Champion the values of the Bikeability Trust and uphold the highest standards of integrity and governance.

Deep understanding of the UK cycling landscape, from active travel policy to delivery and innovation in cycle training. You will provide insight into emerging trends, help shape influence of the Trust’s appeals and fundraising in the sector, ensuring we are achieving our strategic outcomes.

Experience in public or community health, mental wellbeing, or physical activity promotion. You will advise on impact measurement, support our case for wider health-related sources of income generation through appeals, and help position Bikeability within wider wellbeing agendas.

Charity Leadership (Director/CEO level)
Strategic leadership experience in the third sector, particularly fundraising. You will offer guidance on governance, income generation through appeals and individual giving, and sustainability, drawing on your experience in navigating funding environments and board dynamics.

Active Travel & Transport Policy
You will help align the Trust’s appeals and fundraising offer withing the wider active travel and transport sphere, advising on strategies and collaborative funding bids and positioning.

Corporate Partners & Commercial Growth
As an existing corporate partner of the Trust. you will support support in raising awareness and encouraging participation and involvement in the Trust’s fundraising and appeals function, building even stronger B2B and B2C relationships.
