Level the Playing Field in Development (LPFDev) is a volunteer-led community challenging harmful narratives and practices in the global development sector through a decolonial lens. We are searching for an enthusiastic, hard working volunteer to take on President’s responsibility and oversee the chapter in LONDON. They will run the chapter and ultimately be responsible for activities carried out by committee members and volunteers. The President must coordinate with their committee to ensure that all of the needs of the charity are met and the law, constitution and handbook are not broken.

Events Officer has the responisbility of organising (along with the help of a Trustee Events Manager) our magical visits to children/adults with LD, this could be at the hospital, social groups, refugee centres, libraries etc etc.

They will monitor the chapter email for submitted event booking forms (some of these will come from events organised by the Events Manager on Trustees). These will then be added to the calendar and advertised to volunteers. They will ensure each event organised has a handful of volunteers confirmed within a week of the event itself. They will then provide information and support to a Lead Volunteer to run the events. They will ensure that regular events are being attended by volunteers and that they have the costume and materials that are needed for these. They will follow up after events to ensure social media posts are made, hours are uploaded and that costumes are returned. They will ensure that all volunteers are attending events.

The VP's role is to aid the president with all of their responsibilities in overseeing the chapter. VP might help run the chapter and become responsible for some activities. Helping to coordinate their committee to ensure that all of the needs of the charity are met and the law, constitution and handbook are not broken.

This role is important in order to have a smooth running chapter, so that the magic of our visits are at their full potential! We are searching for a enthusiastic and hard working volunteer to support the President in London!

In this flexible role, you’ll help place new boxes and collect and bank donations from Sooty Boxes in local shops, cafés and other businesses in your area. We’re looking for a mission-driven volunteer to own our LinkedIn Company Page and blog: plan the calendar, write high-quality content, and grow an audience of partners, investors, and talent.

What you will do

Build and run a content calendar (quarterly) aligned to launches, pilots, and partnerships. Publish 2 LinkedIn posts per week (thought leadership, field updates, data visuals, founder POV). Write 1–2 blog posts per month for nina.energy (project stories, explainers, case studies). Translate technical inputs (biochar, heat recovery, CORCs) into clear, credible narratives. Create or brief simple assets (short videos, infographics; Canva/Figma welcome). Track KPIs (impressions, CTR, follower growth, inquiries); run A/B tests and iterate. Maintain a lightweight style guide and an asset library for repeatable quality. Coordinate with UK/Ecuador teams; capture stories from farmers, operators, and partners.
