Fundraising Trustee Role Description:
Overview
Our charitable trust provides grants to charitable organisations to support impactful projects benefitting communities in Westminster. We are seeking an individual with fundraising experience to join the Board of Trustees.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide advice on fundraising strategies, opportunities, and best practices to help increase the Trust’s income and grow its impact.
· Identify potential opportunities for donor engagement, partnerships, and alternative income streams.
· Act as an ambassador for the Trust to promote its work.
· Provide feedback on grant applications, supporting fellow trustees in making informed decisions about which bids to fund.
· Attend and actively contribute to 3-4 trustee meetings per year, held mostly in the evening (with the option to attend remotely for some meetings).

Key tasks

Actively establish and maintain positive relationships with the MSA/ISoc committees and Student Ambassadors to ensure an exceptional onsite experience for students and promote retention of sites

Be responsible for overseeing all onsite logistics through liaison with the Student Ambassador to ensure that onsite logistics including advertising of the class and other required tasks are taken care of by the MSA/ISoc

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee roller skate coaching sessions for various age groups and skill levels.

Develop and implement lesson plans to teach roller skating techniques, safety, and skills.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during coaching sessions.

Provide support and guidance to other coaches and volunteers.

Evaluate and track participant progress, providing feedback to enhance their development.

Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive environment for all participants.

Assist in the promotion of roller skating sessions and events within the community.
Skills & Qualifications

Passion for roller skating and teaching others.
-
Previous experience in coaching or teaching roller skating (desirable).
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to motivate and inspire individuals of various ages and skill levels.
-
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
-
First aid qualification (desirable).

Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Commitment

Minimum 15 hours per week, with flexible hours.
