Job description

We're recruiting on behalf of our partners at MINDSET.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (MINDSET Charity)

Build the Team. Build the Culture. Build the Movement.

MINDSET is a bold new preventative mental fitness charity for teenage boys and men in London — launching this November. We’re creating a modern, high‑energy, stigma‑free space where men learn the habits, systems, and psychological tools to stay strong long before crisis hits.

To make this mission real, we need a Volunteer Coordinator who can build the beating heart of our organisation: our volunteer team.

If you’re passionate about people, culture, and creating environments where others thrive — this is your moment.

THE ROLE: VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (Volunteer)

We’re looking for a proactive, organised, people‑focused leader who can build our volunteer programme from the ground up. You’ll help shape the culture, recruit the team, and create the systems that make MINDSET a place volunteers want to be part of.

You’ll lead on:

  • Setting up our volunteer programme from scratch.

  • Recruiting our first wave of volunteers for November launch.

  • Designing a warm, structured onboarding experience.

  • Creating a team‑spirit culture rooted in energy, accountability, and purpose.

  • Supporting volunteers as they deliver our 12‑week mental fitness programmes.

  • Building simple, effective systems for communication, scheduling, and engagement.

  • Championing the MINDSET ethos — modern, bold, stigma‑free, and focused on growth.

Your work will directly shape the experience of every volunteer who joins us. You’ll be the person who sets the tone, builds the community, and ensures our team feels supported, valued, and inspired.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of managing volunteers, HR or recruitment.

  • Loves building positive, energetic team cultures.

  • Is organised, reliable, and great at follow‑through.

  • Enjoys connecting with people and spotting potential.

  • Can create simple systems that make volunteering easy.

  • Wants to help build a charity from the ground up.

  • Can commit a few hours a week between now and November.

  • Believes in preventative mental fitness and early intervention.

If you’re the kind of person who naturally brings people together, you’ll thrive here.

WHY JOIN MINDSET?

1. Because you’ll shape the entire volunteer experience.

You’re not stepping into an existing system — you’re building it.

2. Because our culture is modern, energetic, and inspiring.

Think Gymshark, Huel, MyProtein — not a traditional charity bureaucracy.

3. Because your work will change lives.

Every volunteer you recruit will help boys and men build habits that keep them strong.

4. Because you’ll be part of a founding team.

Your leadership will influence how MINDSET grows for years to come.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

  • A chance to build a volunteer programme from day one.

  • Real leadership experience in a fast‑moving charity start‑up.

  • A supportive, passionate team who value your ideas.

  • Flexible volunteering you can fit around your life.

  • The satisfaction of knowing your work is helping prevent silent suffering.

JOIN US.

HELP US BUILD THE TEAM THAT BUILDS THE MOVEMENT.

If you’re ready to create a volunteer culture full of energy, purpose, and impact, we’d love to hear from you.
