Job description

HELP US LAUNCH MINDSET — AND FUEL A MOVEMENT FOR MEN & BOYS IN LONDON

We’re ideally seeking Trustees based in London, but we welcome passionate volunteers from across England who can join meetings virtually and help steer the future of a charity with huge potential.

We’re MINDSET Charity, a bold new start‑up in London on a mission to equip and empower men and boys with the tools they need for better mental health, stronger resilience and long‑term personal growth.

We’re building a stigma‑free movement — a space where men and boys can learn real, practical, non‑clinical skills that help them build better habits, better mindsets and better lives. From 1:1 Life Coaching, to 6‑ and 12‑week self‑improvement programmes, to school workshops for teenage boys, we’re creating something powerful.

And right now, we’re getting ready to launch — and we need a Trustee Fundraising Lead who can help secure the seed funding that gets MINDSET fully off the ground.

YOUR IMPACT WILL BE HUGE

Joining MINDSET as a Trustee at this early stage means you’re not stepping into a traditional board role — you’re becoming part of the founding leadership of a charity with ambition, energy and purpose.

Your decisions and fundraising leadership will directly influence:

  • how quickly we can launch our programmes;

  • how strong and sustainable our early funding becomes;

  • how effectively we can support men and boys across London;

  • how we grow, scale and innovate;

  • how we build long‑term financial resilience.

This is your chance to help build a charity from the ground up — shaping its culture, its strategy and its future.

THE ROLE: TRUSTEE FUNDRAISING LEAD (VOLUNTEER)

  1. A strategic fundraiser.
  2. A champion for growth.
  3. The driving force behind our launch.

As our Trustee Fundraising Lead, you’ll guide MINDSET’s fundraising strategy, lead on grant writing, and help secure the seed funding that powers our programmes, operations and volunteer team.

You’ll work closely with the Founder and Leadership Team, offering insight, oversight and direction as we build a strong, sustainable financial foundation.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to use their fundraising expertise, grant writing skills and strategic judgement to help shape a charity with real purpose.

WHAT YOU’LL HELP US BUILD

1. Fundraising Strategy & Leadership

  • Leading our early fundraising direction.

  • Identifying and prioritising grant opportunities.

  • Guiding our approach to trusts, foundations and donors.

  • Helping us build a sustainable funding pipeline.

2. Grant Writing & Income Generation

  • Writing or supporting high‑quality grant applications.

  • Helping secure seed funding for launch.

  • Developing compelling cases for support.

  • Strengthening our financial resilience.

3. Governance, Oversight & Growth

  • Bringing strategic fundraising insight to the Board.

  • Supporting risk management and financial planning.

  • Helping us build systems future teams can rely on.

  • Championing our mission to improve men and boys’ mental health.

WE’RE NOT JUST LOOKING FOR ANYONE

We’re especially interested in people who:

  • have fundraising or grant writing experience;

  • want to help build a new charity from scratch;

  • bring strategic thinking, clarity and strong judgement;

  • can offer calm, steady leadership in a start‑up environment;

  • care deeply about men’s mental health, wellbeing and personal growth;

  • want to be part of a movement that will change lives.

If you’re someone who loves securing funding, shaping strategy and building strong foundations — this is your moment.
