Purpose of role

This is an exciting moment to join our organisation. Over the last three years, guided by our new Co-Directors and a collective of dedicated trustees and staff, we’ve shifted our perspective and priorities to centre our community across all the work we do. As a result, they’re our starting point for understanding culture, programming, the venue and everything else. We’re committed to working in long-term, transformative ways to ensure we’re an organisation that’s informed by the needs of now and makes space for a future for everyone. 

As Kami Lamakan steps away at the end of March, we’re looking for an experienced leader who can enthuse a team of trustees and provide clear guidance, mentoring and challenge to the Co-Directors and executive team, confidently advocating for the work we do. Well-connected, you’ll work hard to raise our profile as an international arts centre at the heart of our community, introducing Chapter to people and organisations who’ll support us to achieve our vision for a sustainable future.

You’ll be passionate about art and artists, building community cohesion, and believe that care and equity should sit at the heart of everything we do. You’ll need to balance this commitment with strong financial acumen and leadership experience within the creative, charity or public sectors.

These are challenging times for the arts and we’re looking for someone who can enable us to extend our reach, influence and impact.

We’re open to recruiting a Chair or Co-Chairs to this role. You can apply as either, but please indicate in your application which option you are interested in.

We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to support Dimensions with fundraising as part of our 50th birthday celebrations in 2026.If you’re looking for Fundraising experience or you love to make a difference, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved! 
 
Activities will include 

• Launching Small Sparks grants and all associated fundraising as part of our 50th celebrations 

• Encouraging the people we support and their support teams to think what they could do with a Small Sparks grant and make nominations 

• Manage the small fundraising budget, aiming to maximise colleague participation 

• Planning and delivering fundraising activities throughout the year

About you 

We are looking for someone who is: 

• A natural ball of energy and a people person.

• Passionate about supporting people to live better lives, with the communication skills to get colleagues, the people we support and their families to join you in your mission. 

• Friendly and enthusiastic   

• Reliable/dependable and willing to volunteer regularly (ideally 2 –3 days per week, around your availability)  

Two character references will be required for this role.

About Lucas Helps Dogs
Lucas Helps Dogs is a volunteer run  charity working in Sri Lanka to reduce the suffering of street and community dogs and cats. We run spay and neuter clinics, provide rabies vaccinations, emergency treatment, and daily meals to street dogs and cats. We also deliver educational programmes in schools to teach kindness to animals and responsible pet care.

We’re currently looking for a Volunteer Grant Writer to help us secure vital funding so we can continue and expand our work for animals in need.

About the Role
As our Grant Writer, you’ll help identify suitable grant opportunities and prepare well-researched funding applications to support our animal welfare projects. You’ll work closely with our founder to understand the charity’s goals, gather information, and develop strong proposals that demonstrate our impact and vision.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys writing and research, wants to gain experience in fundraising, or is passionate about improving the lives of animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Research potential grants, trusts, and foundations that align with our mission

• Write clear, compelling funding proposals and supporting documents

• Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and track submissions

• Help develop a case for support and collect information for applications

• Review feedback from funders to improve future submissions

• Collaborate remotely with our small, friendly team

We are looking for friendly drivers to join us in Metheringham!  

You will meet some amazing people, whilst making a positive impact to their lives by driving to places they enjoy and appointments that are important.  
 
We are looking for drivers who will be happy to drive the vehicles owned by the people we support.  

  
Activities will include:  

• Driving the people we support between their homes and services in a safe manner, in accordance with UK law. 
• Driving around the Metheringham area, which will be the start and end point of the majority of journeys 
• Assisting people we support in and out of vehicles and locations – with assistance from trained Dimensions staff. 
• Driving in a manner that is sensitive of physical and emotional requirements of the people we support. 
• Driving vehicles owned by the people we support

We are looking for drivers who:  

• Are aged 21 or over, with at least 2 years driving experience 
• Hold a full, clean and current UK Driving License (or equivalent) 
• Have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions in relation to journeys 
• Are friendly with the people we support and our support staff 
• Are willing to commit to volunteer regularly (times and days can be discussed)  

A DBS check and two character references will be required for this role.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

Time expectation

Our branch team leader volunteers usually spend 10 to 15 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed. Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDS) is a nurse-led specialist eating disorder charity based in Peterborough and serving individuals, families, carers and professionals across the UK. We deliver early intervention, tailored one-to-one support, family sessions, training and education — all with compassion and respect — helping people manage symptoms and build lives not defined by their illness.

The Treasurer will play a central strategic role on the Board of Trustees, helping guide financial decisions that shape the future of the charity.

ROLE SUMMARY

We’re seeking a values-driven, committed volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As Treasurer you will fulfil all statutory trustee duties, ensuring the charity operates in line with its governing document and legal requirements, while providing strategic financial oversight and guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the charity’s financial affairs, ensuring transparency and accountability 

• Ensure appropriate financial controls, policies and procedures are in place 

• Provide clear and accessible financial reports to the Board 

• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning 

• Liaise with independent examiners/auditors during the annual accounts process 

• Advise the Board on financial strategy, risk and sustainability

PERSON SPECIFICATION

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have relevant financial experience (accounting, finance, audit, governance or similar) 

• Understand charity finances or are willing to learn 

• Are committed to the values and mission of PEDS 

• Enjoy collaborative working at board level

The Fixing Factory is a community repair hub where we teach repair skills, repair and refurbish electrical waste, and help people keep their electrical items in use for longer.

Our work is made possible with the support of a team of volunteers who help people to get their electronic items fixed, learn repair skills and provide valuable support to environmental charities Possible (The 10:10 Foundation) and The Restart Project.

We’re looking for Experienced Fixers to join our volunteer team and help diagnose and repair electrical items at the Haringey Fixing Factory. Your skills will help keep valuable items in use for longer — supporting our mission to reduce waste and support our community.

What you’ll be doing:

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical items such as lamps, kettles, toasters and laptops
• Testing and signing off items ready for sale or donation
• Supporting less experienced fixers with more complex repairs
• Talking one-on-one with members of the public about how items can be repaired
• Helping keep the workshop safe, tidy and welcoming

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong electrical repair skills and experience fixing a range of items
• Can work independently and confidently troubleshoot faults
• Is organised, reliable and safety-conscious
• Enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting others
• Cares about sustainability, reducing waste and community impact

Founded in 2013, Release Counselling and Therapy for Women is a charity that has supported the mental health of thousands of women across Sussex.

Over the last decade, we have developed a skilled and experienced therapy team, who offer a range of services to help women address the issues life throws at them.

Our support is unique as everything we do is created and led by qualified counsellors, and we have become best known for our Therapeutic Groups and Wellbeing Days for mums.  We also run a 1:1 counselling service for women, supporting them through those other challenges in life and are in the process of setting up couples counselling.

We are looking for qualified female counsellors or CBT therapists to provide 3 or more 1-1 or couples therapy online and to deliver weekly sessions for up to 18 weeks for 50 minutes. Counsellors can join an optional peer supervision group and our quarterly team catch up.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a volunteer who:

Deliver counselling sessions via our online system Cliniko.
Write factual client notes that are stored within Cliniko.
Raise any safeguarding issues with the Clinical Lead.
Skills

Please note we do not have a student counselling placement as all of our counsellors are qualified.

Qualified counsellor/CBT therapist at a minimum of level 4 from one of the below-accredited organisations
Registered practitioner with BACP, UKCP, BABCP, BPS or HCPC
Current DBS check or willing to have one carried out
Experience of safeguarding procedures
Experience working with female clients with a range of issues
