What will you be doing?

By sharing your professional skills and financial insight, you will help ensure we continue delivering personalised support, practical advice and ongoing care to the women and children we support.

Our new Treasurer will be a key member of the Board of Trustees, responsible for providing strategic financial oversight and ensuring that Honour Thy Woman Group manages its resources responsibly, transparently, and in line with UK charity law.

Our Treasurer will regularly report to the Board of Trustees on the organisation’s financial position and overall financial health. The Treasurer will also ensure that robust and appropriate financial controls, systems, and procedures are in place and operating effectively.

While the Treasurer holds specific responsibility for financial oversight, all Trustees remain jointly and severally responsible for the governance and administration of the Charity and share collective accountability and liability.

We’re seeking a new Treasurer with the following attributes: 

· Financial literacy and confidence with budgets.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate, people‑focused, and values‑driven Head of People, Culture & Development to lead REMIX’s volunteer experience, culture, and people systems as we grow through our start‑up phase and beyond. This is a hands‑on, collaborative role for someone who loves building inclusive environments, supporting others to thrive, and creating the conditions for a healthy, empowered organisation.

You will work closely with the CEO, COO, and Board to shape REMIX’s culture, develop people‑focused processes, and ensure every volunteer, mentor, and young person feels valued, supported, and inspired and help put structures and processes in place to prepare us to become an employer in the very near future.

Key Responsibilities

If you have space in your home and heart, for a guide dog mum who will be bringing the next generation of guide dogs in the world, then this could be the role for you! A role where you can care and nurture for a guide dog mum and plenty of little puppies when they arrive. 

This role is available in areas of Berkshire, South Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Providing a loving home for a guide dog mum who will be at least 12 months old, for around six years whilst they are in the breeding programme (with the option to re-home after this, once the guide dog mum retires at around 7 years-old.) 
• Giving a guide dog mum the care and support that our canine companions need, like feeding and grooming.
• Creating a safe environment for the guide dog mum when they are giving birth within your home and helping with the birth of future guide dogs, which usually happens once a year. (You don’t need any previous experience of breeding or having dogs – we have expert staff who will help you!) 
• Providing care and support for the newborn puppies for at least 6 weeks while they are still in the nest, including socialising them to the new sounds and first-time experiences in your home.

Can I care for a guide dog mum? 

If you want to care for a guide dog mum, here's what we ideally look for:

• A loving home with a secure garden.
• Access to a car, to support with any appointments needed for the guide dog mum.
• Live within an hour’s drive of the National Centre in Leamington Spa.

Guide dog mums can happily live with other dogs or children, however we wouldn’t place them with a male dog that has not been neutered. To determine whether you are suitable, we will conduct a home visit as part of the application process.

Our volunteers also receive lots of support from their volunteer managers to help them implement the training modules, as well as managing the birth of new-born puppies. If you have questions about the training requirements, we can answer these at your interview along with any other support or accessibility needs you may have.

Volunteering for Guide Dogs should never leave you out of pocket. We’ll make sure we pay any pre-agreed expenses related to the litter or your volunteering with us, including veterinary costs, food costs or any specialist breeding equipment.  All you may need to buy is a bed and grooming equipment.

Minimum age of volunteer: 18.

PiP is seeking a trustee with diverse skills to deliver an ambitious five-year strategy, supporting adults with learning disabilities. Following significant growth over the last five years, we are now seeking to deepen our support offer, expand the number of people we directly support, and scope how we can influence systems change alongside people with learning disabilities.

Our trustees play a significant role in supporting, guiding, & governing our work. They share collective responsibility for governance, compliance and accountability, while also contributing their individual skills, perspectives and experience to board discussions and decision-making.

Our current Board is diverse in terms of gender, race, age, and experience and this is a strength that we're keen to retain. So, if you're a first-time trustee, have a non-typical background, or have access needs, please do especially consider reaching out to discuss the role with our CEO.

Below outlines the broad criteria that PiP desires from the person who fills this post. We expect that the individual appointed may not meet all the criteria below, and that experience, skills, and understanding of our work may come from many areas including voluntary or lived/caring experience.

• A willingness to commit time and effort to the development of PIP
• The ability to engage comfortably at all levels

There are six Board meetings each year, typically held on weekday evenings between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm. Trustees may like to participate in committees or working groups. The role is voluntary and unpaid, but reasonable expenses, such as travel and caring responsibilities, will be reimbursed.

We are now looking to strengthen our Governance with the appointment of another Young Trustee, ideally someone with relevant lived experience and/or has participated in Youth Careers Collective programmes.

Essential criteria

- Experience of effective, fair and impartial decision-making

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Cats Protection helps thousands of cats every year. Our fundraising volunteers play a vital role in making this possible. By using your passion for cats and people, you’ll help raise the funds needed to support more cats and kittens in need.

As a fundraising volunteer, we’ll support you to get involved in a way that suits you best. Whether you enjoy organising events, fundraising online, promoting activities on social media, helping with administration, or coming up with fresh ideas — there’s a place for you here. Whatever your skills or interests, this could be the perfect role.

What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork
• Championing our work – helping to develop new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection

Time commitment

This role is flexible and designed to fit around your other commitments. You’ll be part of a friendly team raising vital funds — and having fun along the way.
