Role summary

St Helena is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be part of their fundraising team, supporting events and initiatives in their local areas to help raise awareness and much needed funds. The role is flexible and we will fit around your availability. We have events throughout the year and would invite you to support across all areas of fundraising. 

Main duties of this role may include any of the following:

• Attend St Helena events to help with marshalling, registration, refreshments or selling merchandise

• Attend external third party events to represent St Helena

• Attend external events and venues to engage with the public to encourage participants to sign up to events and challenges

• Participate in bucket collections and other fundraising opportunities in the local community as requested

• Be able to set up and oversee a stand at events and promotional opportunities in the local community including supermarkets, markets, town centres, fayres, Christmas light switch-ons and similar events

• Promote the charity and inspire people to support St Helena

• Adhere to St Helena policies and procedures at all times

• Represent The Hospice in a professional manner

• Ensure all information is kept confidential and secure at all times

Ukrainian Institute London (UIL) is an independent charity dedicated to advancing public education in the United Kingdom by broadening knowledge and understanding of Ukraine. UIL is seeking to appoint two new Trustees. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• knowledge of Ukraine and its place within wider European and international cultural contexts;

• fundraising and income generation, including trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate sponsorship, or individual giving;

• developing or supporting fundraising strategies; 

• charity governance and trustee experience;

• arts, culture, heritage, or international cultural relations;

• finance, law, organisational development, or strategy;

• communications, marketing, partnerships, or audience development;

• digital engagement and organisational sustainability.

Time commitment:

• Four Board meetings per year, each approximately 2 hours, plus preparation time.

• Review and input into key governance documents, such as the Annual Report.

• Fundraising support, including meetings with potential donors and strategic advice to the Director and the UIL operations team.

• Attendance at key UIL events, where possible.

• Representation of the UIL at occasional meetings with partners or public-facing events. 

• Occasional ad hoc engagement, such as strategic advice on issues within the individual trustee’s area of expertise. 

Overall, the commitment is expected to average approximately 1-2 days per month ​​(which includes attendance at UIL events) and can easily fit in with other commitments.

This is a voluntary and unpaid role. Expenses are not reimbursed.

Cardinal Hume Centre is looking for two new trustees to help break the cycle of homelessness for children, young people and families.

Based in Westminster, we support more than 1,400 children, young people and families each year who are facing homelessness and poverty. Through personalised, wraparound services, we work alongside people to build stability, confidence and the foundations for longterm independence — tackling homelessness now to prevent it in the future.

Role Responsibilities

1. Stock & Donations Management

• Sort donated items to ensure they are appropriate for sale or event use.
• Organise and manage stock ahead of upcoming events.
• Monitor stock levels and identify when outreach or additional donations are needed.

2. Event Support

• Attend fundraising events, engaging confidently with the public and sharing information about our work.
• Assist with setting up equipment and displays and help with packing away after events.
• Ensure stalls are well presented, welcoming, and visually engaging.
• Support sales of merchandise and the running of games/activities.
• Take photographs throughout the event for promotional use and reporting.

3. Transport & Logistics

• Transport equipment, displays, and stock to and from event venues (using your own vehicle if appropriate).

This is a key support role that helps keep the fundraising function organised and running smoothly.

• Booking events and completing relevant forms.
• Maintain a current contact list of volunteers.
• Manage and update volunteer availability rotas.

• Update the “cat book” or event information pack ahead of each event.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Personal Assistant to support our CEO with day-to-day responsibilities. This voluntary role offers a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience working closely with a busy CEO, supporting both business and personal commitments, while building valuable skills in executive support and leadership administration.

While this position will initially be unpaid, there is strong potential for it to develop into a salaried role as the organisation continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive diary and inbox management for the CEO.

• Schedule and coordinate meetings, calls, and travel arrangements.

• Assist with the preparation of agendas, presentations, and follow-up actions.

• Act as the first point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage confidential information with the utmost discretion.

• Support with ad hoc personal tasks and lifestyle management, as required.

• Undertake general administrative duties, including filing, expenses, and record keeping.
