As a Volunteer Fundraiser, you'll play a vital role in raising awareness of LoveBrum, engaging with the public, and helping us raise funds that support small, volunteer-led projects making a positive impact across the city. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Representing LoveBrum at community and corporate events, gala dinners and fundraising activities. 

• Chatting with members of the public about our work and inspiring them to support our mission. 

• Collecting donations, selling raffle tickets and promoting fundraising campaigns. 

• Helping to set up and pack down at events. 

• Creating a warm, welcoming and positive experience for supporters. 

What we're looking for 

You don't need fundraising experience – we'll provide all the guidance you need. We're looking for people who are: 

• Friendly, approachable and confident speaking to people.

No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

Our vision is that everyone receives the help they need in a health crisis from those around them. We will achieve that by putting first aid at the heart of every community.​As a Fundraising Lead, you will coordinate the activity of a group of dedicated volunteers to achieve fundraising goals and support the work of St John Ambulance. Other aspects of the role include- coordinating and leading fundraising activity with your team, leading or supporting the recruitment of fundraising volunteers , supporting the promotion of local, regional and national fundraising campaigns and activities and working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to coordinate the unit's fundraising activities, leasing with the Regional Fundraising Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be someone who can work in a team or on their own initiative, is outgoing, determined and energetic and has an enthusiasm for the work of St John Ambulance and it's values. Knowledge of their local community and experience of fundraising or event organisation would be useful but is not essential.

Help adults in your community transform their lives through reading. As Local Fundraiser, you'll play a vital role in helping your local Read Easy group raise the funds needed to provide free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading.

Working as part of the group's Management Team and Board of Trustees, you'll help develop a fundraising plan, identify local funding opportunities and build relationships with businesses, community organisations and grant-making bodies. You'll write funding applications, coordinate fundraising activities where appropriate and help recognise and thank those who support the group. The Management Team meets approximately every 6–8 weeks to work together on the strategic direction of the group.

Previous fundraising experience is welcome but not essential. We're looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and proactive, with good communication skills and a willingness to seek out local funding opportunities. If you enjoy building relationships, writing, planning or organising, we'd love to hear from you.

The role is flexible, requires around three hours per month, and full training, resources and ongoing support from Read Easy UK are provided.

As we continue to expand our impact, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Funding Officer to help secure the resources needed to sustain and grow our services.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Funding Officer to identify, develop, and secure funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, grant-making bodies, businesses, and other third-sector stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong bid-writing and relationship-management skills to make a real difference. Working independently and flexibly, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial sustainability of the charity by generating new income streams and contributing to a strategic funding approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify suitable funding opportunities aligned with Compassion’s mission and objectives.
• Prepare and submit high-quality funding applications, grant proposals, and expressions of interest.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, grant-makers, and sector partners.
• Develop a pipeline of funding opportunities and maintain records of applications and outcomes.
• Work closely with leadership to understand organisational priorities and funding requirements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic funding plan.
• Monitor funding trends, opportunities, and sector developments.
• Support reporting requirements for successful funding applications where required.
• Maximise opportunities to secure sustainable income for the charity.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in grant fundraising, bid writing, or income generation within the charity or voluntary sector.
• A strong track record of securing funding from trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, or corporate funders.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce compelling and persuasive funding applications.
• Strong research, planning, and organisational abilities.
• The ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• A self-motivated and proactive approach to work.
• An understanding of the challenges faced by charities and the domestic abuse sector would be advantageous.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.

Remuneration

Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported. Activities include:

· Supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers

· Planning fundraising events and activities with your team

· Allocating tasks before and during fundraising events

· Keeping financial records from fundraising events

· Encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection 

· Following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

You will develop new skills, expand your knowledge and make a significant contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens by helping raise funds and awareness through organising local events. You will also meet new people, make new friends and be part of a dedicated team of volunteers. You will be supported and guided from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

We're looking for someone with the following:

· Great people skills and the ability to bring out the best in others

· Excellent organisational skills

· The ability to prioritise and delegate

· An appreciation of the importance of handling money and charity resources responsibly

· Fine-tuned communication skills and a passion for engaging with people within your local community

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Hi, I’m John, the founder of The Ootsider. We are an West Lothian -based social enterprise on a mission to provide warmth, dignity, and comfort to those experiencing rough sleeping. Using a "buy one, give one" model, the profits from our premium, hand-made in Scotland outdoor robes directly fund the production of our bespoke, weather-proof, sleeping coats which we donate free to rough sleepers across the UK.

Fundraising Events Organiser Volunteer

Would you like to be part of a dedicated and friendly team of volunteers and make a real difference to the lives of cats and kittens in our care?Do you enjoy planning and organising for events?  Maybe you have a particular skill that you would like to put to use?

Our Fundraising Events Team are at the heart of what we do, raising essential funds for the cats.

Our Fundraising Events Organisersshare ideas, tasks and inspiration, planning and delivering local events, with the support of the Fundraising events helpers, such as Open Days (usually 2 per year) at the centre andour annual Christmas Bazaar.

Time Expectation:  This role can be varied and time commitment can be flexible. 

Without volunteers, Cats Protection Berkshire Cat Centre simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.

We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Berkshire.

Please note:  Although we do welcome everyone, unfortunately our centre is not set up to accommodate young volunteers under the age of 18, including those on the Duke of Edinburgh programme.

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  
• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
• championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

• Fundraising Heroes - Whether it’s rallying local businesses, organising events, or getting creative with unique fundraising ideas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping SSAFA’s support going strong.
• Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.

The skills you need

• Be friendly and approachable.
• Confident to engage with the public, potential clients, volunteers and SSAFA colleagues face-to-face.
• Reliable attitude, staying connected with your Branch and/or Community Engagement Manager about your availability.
• Access to public transport or a car to get to events if necessary.

Join the Board of Bristol Historic Buildings Trust - help fund the restoration of a Bristol landmark

Bristol Historic Buildings Trust (BHBT) is seeking a new Trustee with fundraising experience to help us bring Ashton Court Mansion back to life.

Ashton Court Mansion is a Grade I listed manor house with origins in the 14th century, set within an 850-acre estate on the edge of Bristol. Around three quarters of the building remains derelict. We are working with Bristol City Council to take a 125-year lease and regenerate the Mansion as a living civic place where heritage, creativity and public life meet.

We are already in the building under a tenancy at will, have refurbished the first rooms and begun taking event bookings. We are converting to a Charitable Community Benefit Society and preparing to launch a Community Share Offer shortly. Beyond that sits the long-term restoration itself - a phased, grant-led programme of significant scale, requiring a sustained major grants pipeline and a matching campaign alongside it.

Our vision is a building that works as a place of celebration, incubation and education, programmed around five areas: food, culture and arts, skills, nature and outdoors, and heritage.

We need a trustee with significant fundraising experience, who can help achieve our vision for ACM and who can help the Board build the capability to do it repeatedly.

What we are looking for (some, not all, of the following)

•Experience of major capital fundraising, ideally in heritage, culture or the built environment

•A track record with major grant funders - National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England, Historic England, trusts and foundations

•Major gifts and high-net-worth donor cultivation

•Corporate partnerships and business sponsorship

•Individual giving, regular giving and membership schemes

•Experience shaping a compelling case for support and holding an organisation to a fundraising strategy and pipeline

What the role involves

•Bringing fundraising challenge and expertise to Board discussions, and helping set realistic targets

•Supporting the development of our grant pipeline, major donor strategy and supporter programmes

•Opening doors where you can, and representing the Trust to funders and supporters

•4 quarterly board meetings per year (March, June, September, December), approx. 2 hours each

•An annual strategy day

•Additional involvement as your skills allow - fundraising, stakeholder meetings, representing the charity at events

•Terms of up to 3 years (renewable)

•The role is unremunerated; reasonable expenses are reimbursed
