We offer a lifelong befriending service for adults with learning disabilities. Matching the skills and interests of passionate visitors with the specific hobbies and interests of the people we visit. Visitors visit six times a year to create a 1-2-1 connection, offer companionship, encourage people to do the things they enjoy and check-in on their wellbeing. In many cases, the visitor is the only person in someone’s life who isn’t paid to be there for them.

This is an Out and about visit role which means your visits are likely to be longer, very active and the person you visit will often take an active part in planning your outings and activities in the community. Your volunteer manager will be happy to help you with ideas and suggestions for things you can do. Visits will vary in length but tends to be around a couple of hours, sometimes shorter or longer, depending on what you plan to do.

We're looking for 2-3 detail-oriented and strategic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist Volunteers to help optimise our online presence and ensure our campaigns and content reach the communities that need them most and increase the charity’s search engine results rankings. We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our network of Sooty Box collectors. In this flexible role, you’ll help place new boxes and collect and bank donations from Sooty Boxes in local shops, cafés and other businesses in your area. We are a small charity exploring how simple AI tools can help us work more efficiently and focus on what really matters.

We’re looking for a friendly volunteer to help us take our first steps with AI in a safe, ethical, and practical way. This role is supportive and practical, not technical or developer-focused.

You’ll help us understand and use everyday AI tools in ways that genuinely support our work. This may include exploring simple ways AI could help with admin, communications, fundraising, or planning; showing staff and volunteers how AI tools work in plain English; recommending easy-to-use tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, or Microsoft tools; creating short how-to notes or example prompts; supporting small trials of AI tools and helping us learn what works; and encouraging responsible, ethical use of AI that fits our values.
