Our wellbeing café runs once a month and provides a space for people to grab a brew, a snack and take part in some creative tasks, games and activities, as well as connecting with others.
We're looking for friendly volunteers who can welcome people to the wellbeing café, get them set up and settled in. Volunteers will help people feel comfortable, support them in any activities they would like to do and provide friendly chat.
We'd like someone that's passionate, friendly and willing to get stuck in. You just need to be able to talk to others. listen and be a friendly face for those attending.
Volunteers would need to be free on Wednesday's, between 12.45pm - 3.15pm, (you can still apply even if you ca't do every Wednesday)but you must be over 18 to apply.

Memory Lane is here for anyone living with dementia (whether they have a diagnosis, are an unpaid carer or friend or family member). Our social support cafes enable people to meet friends, get support, access information and simply have fun.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and committed volunteer to join our Trustee team as Treasurer to help us continue to grow and develop what we do. You'll need to attend meetings (quarterly plus other meetings from time to time) and also be able to work at home on managing the finances and providing reports etc to the Trustees.
This job is for you if you have:-

willingness to learn - we'll provide training as necessary and there will be other opportunities for learning and personal development as part of our team.
Our accounts are currently well-managed by our present Treasurer who will be leaving us after completing the 25/26 financial year (31-3-26). She will be available to familiarise and induct the new Treasurer into the role for a seamless transfer.

The Whiteley Homes Trust, “the Trust,” is a charity that manages Whiteley Village in Surrey. The purpose of the charity is to provide homes for older people of limited means from all over the country. Founded over a hundred years ago in Walton on Thames, Surrey, the Village is located in 225 acres of beautiful grounds and is a very special place to live and work.
Established in 1917 the village has many Grade 2 listed buildings and provides housing for nearly 400 older people of limited means. There are 265 Almshouses and 51 extra care apartments and the Village also has a church, activity centre, pool, village hall, shop and community café. There is also a small number of market rent properties within the village.
Huntley House is CQC Registered Extra Care Accommodation in the heart of the Village. Our Support Team provide high quality support to residents 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This includes supporting people with complex needs to live as independently as possible, promoting dignity, choice, and wellbeing in line with CQC regulations and best practice standards.
This role is perfect for friendly, approachable individuals who enjoy interacting with people and creating a welcoming environment. As a Meet and Greet volunteer, you will play a vital part in ensuring residents, visitors, and team members feel comfortable and supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming Visitors: Greet residents, families, and guests with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Providing Directions: Assist visitors in navigating the village, directing them to specific locations, events, or team members.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage visitor sign-ins
- Companionship: Engage in light conversation with residents, offering a listening ear and fostering a sense of community.
