Please note that this is a VOLUNTEER role.

Responsibilities may include

• To complete research tasks in line with timelines and agreed deadlines

• To help plan, write, edit and proofread reports, literature reviews and related writings

• To work alongside others in managing a workload, and actively communication 

• To analyse and interpret research data (mainly qualitative, secondary data analysis)

• To support and be accountable to the senior researcher 

• To assist in the design and planning of projects and research work

• To follow ethical guidelines

Requirements: 

• To have knowledge on children’s human rights in the UK and other related areas

• To have experience as a Research Assistant or Researcher or equivalent role in related areas

• Experience in qualitative research methods and secondary data analysis, quantitative experience a plus

• To be able to work well as part of a team and independently

You will play a crucial role in establishing and guiding a national community of practice. You will work closely with national advisors, directors, and volunteers across counties & regions to design and implement best practices within your functional area. Your leadership will contribute to a more connected, skilled, and high-performing volunteer network across the charity

• Inspire and guide community members to deliver impactful initiatives.

Interviews will be in the week following the closure of the advert. Selection will be against the RD and judged upon application form showing how candidate is appropriate for role. Due to seniority of role, candidate will need to detail in application how they meet the specifics of the RD and their relevant experience. Once shortlisted and interviewed, a selection event will not be required. As a Youth Panel Member, you will act as a champion for young adults, helping to ensure that the views, experiences and perspectives of young people influence CIMSPA’s strategy, decisions and priorities. You will work with CIMSPA’s executive team and support the Board of Trustees by sharing insight, offering constructive challenge and helping drive positive change.

You will bring your own lived experience, challenge the status quo where needed, and help CIMSPA find new and better ways to engage with young people. You will be expected to carry out your role in line with CIMSPA’s values and behaviours, contributing positively to a high-performing and respectful Youth Panel.

• Be aged between 16 and 25 at the point of appointment.
• Commit to attending up to five Youth Panel meetings per year.
• Be willing to attend Board of Trustees meetings on a rotational basis.
• Complete any preparation required ahead of meetings.
• Act in line with CIMSPA’s values, behaviours, safeguarding and conduct expectations.

Our shops generate funds that directly support the whole family, from medical care and therapeutic services for children, to emotional and practical care for families, to sibling support activities & experiences.

Your role will help us continue providing vital care and support to Tŷ Hafan children and their families.

About our Abergavenny Shop:

Abergavenny is one of our newer shops, beautifully designed to showcase quirky and unique donations. It also features a famous formalwear and bridal room, offering a unique shopping experience.
 

Considerations:

Age requirement: 16+

Location: 55 Frogmore Street, Abergavenny NP7 4AR 

Commitment:Our shops operate Monday-Saturday, 9am-4:45pm and we appreciate any time you can spare, but ideally at least 2 hours per week.

Shifts will be discussed during your informal chat.

Background checks: We will ask you to provide us with the details of two referees.

Activities include:

• Providing a warm and friendly welcome to all customers entering the shop;
• Helping customers to locate items they are looking for;
• Serving customers at the till;
• Taking donations and promoting Gift Aid;
• Selling and processing our raffle/lottery tickets;
• Acting as an ambassador for Tŷ Hafan, promoting our Big Ambition within your local community..

We’re looking for admin volunteers to help with our daily operations.  We have a variety of ways you can get involved:

• Responding to client requests and enquiries
• Fundrasing and partnership management

• Maintaining internal, volunteer, and client records
• Drafting and mailing client correspondence and newsletters

We’ve designed our volunteering programme to be flexible and adaptive to you.  All volunteering is 100% remote and you’re supported fully by our team.  You control what you do and how many hours per week you want to volunteer.  Some roles may require an Enhanced DBS check. If your application is successful, we will ask for a donation towards the cost of your enhanced DBS check if it's required for your role. This cost is £22.60.

How much time can you give?

A minimum of 2 hours per week is required. We are flexible and like to work around you.

Training

We provide accredited training with 3 short courses needing to be completed prior starting your volunteer role.  After, you’ll have access to over 90 accredited courses should you want to study further.

As a Research and Bid Support Volunteer, you’ll help identify funding opportunities, gather data and evidence, and support the preparation of grant proposals. You’ll also assist with compiling feedback and monitoring information that helps us demonstrate the difference our work makes.

We are looking for a volunteer to help us identify and apply for UK government and quasi-government grant funding that corresponds to our platform activities,  including entrepreneurship support, innovation, skills, inclusion, and regional growth.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in public funding, policy programmes, innovation grants, or the third sector who wants to apply their expertise to a fast-growing, mission-driven organisation with a strong track record.

You will work closely with Unrest’s co-founders and Head of Partnerships, as well as being a part of the Unrest team and vibrant Unrest community of founders and changemakers.

Responsibilities

• Research and map relevant UK government, public sector, and arm’s-length body funding opportunities aligned with Unrest’s programmes and community work.
• Assess eligibility, competitiveness, and strategic fit of funding opportunities.
• Lead or support the drafting of grant applications, including written narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate inputs from the Unrest team and external collaborators where required.
• Track deadlines, compliance requirements, and reporting obligations for submitted or awarded grants.
• Help build institutional knowledge and reusable materials to strengthen future applications.

About The Club

Support United (Support Utd) is a fun, social football club that meets weekly in Reading. The club is designed to give people within the LGBTQIA+ community the opportunity to play football in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. Our focus is on enjoyment, learning, and building confidence — no matter your experience level. Sessions are open to adults aged 18+ and welcome players of all abilities.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Volunteer Assistant Football Coach to support the running of our weekly sessions. You’ll work alongside the lead coach to help deliver inclusive, enjoyable football sessions for a group of around 10–12 players (with potential to grow in future).

This role would be ideal for someone with an interest in coaching or sport, particularly those studying sports science, coaching, physical education, or a related subject. It would also be perfect for someone who is a part of, or a strong ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. 

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the lead coach during weekly football sessions

• Assisting with session set-up and pack-down

• Helping to deliver drills, activities, and small-sided games

• Supporting basic club management tasks, such as:

  • Communicating with players

  • Assisting with attendance and session organisation

• Helping create a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants

About You

Essential:

• Applicants must be over the age of 18

• An interest in sport and physical activity, particularly football

• Able to participate in light to moderate physical exercise

• You have a friendly and approachable manner, and enjoy working with a diverse range people with different backgrounds and lived experience

• A confident, positive “can-do” attitude, with the energy and enthusiasm to get involved and help make sessions engaging, enjoyable, and welcoming for all players

• Reliability and commitment to attending sessions regularly

• Strong communication and organisation skills

• Be based in, or near to Reading, Berkshire

• Willing to undergo a DBS check

• Evidence of completed safeguarding and first aid training or willingness to complete required training

• Must have appropriate footwear for use on a 3G astro turf pitch (astro or moulded stud football boots). Trainers and metal stud boots are not permitted on the pitch.

Desirable:

• Some experience of coaching or leading sports activities

• Studying (or interest in) sports science, coaching, physical education, or a related field

• An understanding of, or interest in, LGBTQIA+ inclusion in sport

• Additional relevant training qualifications

Originally founded to address the lack of understanding around Black mental health. Today, Mary Seacole House provides culturally appropriate advocacy, runs a multicultural wellbeing service and fights for the rights of racialised communities across Liverpool.

About the role

As Treasurer, you'll play a vital role as a Trustee and with delegated responsibility for ensuring financial stability and good governance. You'll:

• Oversee financial reporting and ensure clarity for all trustees.
• Support the CEO and Chair with budgeting, forecasting and financial compliance.
• Help shape financial policy and guide strategic decisions during a period of change.

About you

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Financial expertise (accounting qualification required; charity experience desirable).
• Leadership experience at Board or senior level.
• Commitment to anti-racism and an understanding of marginalised communities.

If you have lived experience of racism or migration, or deep knowledge of Liverpool's cultural context, we'd especially love to hear from you.
