Our Story

Influential Stars was founded by Lisa Connell, who is living with an inoperable brain tumour and has spent many years raising awareness and support for UK causes. The platform was created from a deeply personal belief that influence, connection, and community can be powerful forces for good when brought together in the right way.

Volunteers play a vital role in helping turn that vision into real world impact, enabling experiences that raise funds, create joy for winners, and support charitable organisations across the UK.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and relationship driven Volunteer Partnerships & Growth Manager to identify, approach, and onboard affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and other supporters who can help expand the reach of the platform.

This role focuses on building a strong network of individuals and organisations who can introduce creators, promote campaigns, or otherwise support the growth of Influential Stars.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and networks

• Introduce individuals and organisations to the platform and explain how they can get involved

• Support onboarding of new collaborators and affiliates

• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners and introducers

• Encourage ongoing engagement and participation

• Maintain regular communication to nurture long term partnerships

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth onboarding

• Provide clear information about roles, expectations, and opportunities

• Maintain accurate records of outreach and partnerships using our CRM management system

• Represent the organisation professionally in all communications

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Experience in outreach, partnerships, business development, or relationship building

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence communicating by phone, email, and online platforms

• Strong networking ability and proactive approach

• Strong IT skills, including confident use of computer databases and standard office software (e.g. Word, Excel)

• Experience using a CRM or similar database system

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple contacts

• Professional, reliable, and personable manner

Desirable:

• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

• Experience in affiliate programmes, partnerships, or community building

• Experience working remotely within a team

• Interest in charitable or social impact work

• Based in London or Hertfordshire for occasional in person meetings (not essential)

Working Arrangement

• Fully remote position

• Flexible working hours depending on organisational needs

• No travel required. However, if you choose to meet with partners in person, reasonable travel costs will be covered where possible

• Occasional (optional) in person team meetings

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. While we are unable to provide a timeframe and future opportunities will depend on the organisation’s growth and incoming work, this role offers the chance to be part of that journey from an early stage.

Volunteer Role: Community Group Volunteer

Location: Across Wales

Frequency: A few hours once a month

Reporting to: Adoption Community Manager

Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS

Community groups are facilitated face to face or virtual meetings/events run by community group coordinators who are volunteers. The groups are run to offer local networking, support, information, advice, guidance and a sense of community for adoption UK members.

The role of a community group coordinator is to plan, organise, facilitate and network meeting and events both face to face and virtually for local adoption UK members. 

The groups are open to prospective adopters/ adopters awaiting a match and adopters with children. Meet ups are often held monthly although the frequency is dependent on the availability of the community group coordinator. 

What you will be doing   

·Plan dates for the community group meetings.

·Inform the Community officer and manager so the admin and booking link can be created for the group.

·Attend the group meetings, welcome the attendees, remind everyone at the start of the meeting about safeguarding and confidentiality, chair the meeting and provide a listening ear and potential signposting to the attendees.

·Ensure Adoption UK’s safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.

·After the meeting, send an attendance list to staff at Adoption UK.

Role summary

As a Community Support Volunteer, you will play an important role in the Compassionate Communities programme by helping people talk about death and dying, grief and loss as well as raising awareness about St Helena Hospice services. We believe that breaking down taboos and getting people talking is key in helping communities support each other.

Your role will involve:

· Offering a welcoming, supportive presence and a listening ear to allow people to engage in meaningful conversations around topics such as incurable illness, caregiving, dying and bereavement. This may include signposting to relevant community support or care provision.

· Establishing contacts within the community and building relationships

· Supporting St Helena in informal sessions or larger events that may be held in community groups, charities, cafes or other organisations.

· Connecting with St Helena staff and partners before and after events to give feedback and receive support

· Assisting with basic event logistics such as setting up spaces, offering refreshments, distributing materials, and collecting informal feedback.

Training & supervision

· Online mandatory training relevant to the role

· Compassionate Conversations training – online/in person

· Dedicated line manager for training and support with regular meetings

Experience & qualifications required

· Experience in a role involving interaction with the public, especially in a supportive or listening capacity

· Understanding of the importance of compassion and empathy when discussing sensitive topics

· Ability to maintain personal and professional boundaries

· Comfortable speaking with people from a wide range of backgrounds

Dacorum Heritage is seeking a strategic, commercially aware and relationship-focused Trustee to join its Board of Trustees and help strengthen income generation and fundraising for a charitable museum dedicated to preserving and sharing local heritage.

As the Trustee with special responsibilities for income generation and fundraising, you will play a key role in helping the Board diversify income, identify funding opportunities and build relationships that support long-term sustainability. You will bring insight, challenge and practical guidance to help Dacorum Heritage grow earned income, donations, grants, sponsorship and other appropriate sources of support.
