We have an opportunity for a volunteer based in our Salisbury office to support our busy supporter care/membership team. You will help the team to ensure our members and supporters receive the highest standards of care and an excellent experience.

What you will be doing

This dynamic opportunity could involve anything from answering supporter queries and letter stuffing, to updating supporter records, filing and researching.

Location – This role is based at Plantlife Head Office in Salisbury, Wiltshire, so we are looking for a volunteer who is based in or around Salisbury. Ideally, we would prefer someone who lives in close proximity to our office.

Time commitment – We are looking for someone who can volunteer one day per week with us in our Salisbury office, aiming to give 5 hours or more (Wednesday or Thursday).

Tools With A Mission, a Christian charity, is looking for a volunteer Van Coordinator to help organise and support the smooth running of our van collections across Northern England.

Our vans play a vital role in collecting and transporting donated tools from the public, which are refurbished and sent overseas to support livelihoods and transform communities.

This is a voluntary position, ideal for an organised and reliable individual who wants to make a meaningful contribution to a charity making a global impact.

Prison volunteers work in teams to organise classes and teach our stitchers, as well as providing groups information to the prison and to the FCW office. The precise mix of skills will vary from prison to prison.

Volunteering in prison for Fine Cell Work requires ideally a good level of needlework skill (or a willingness to learn), some teaching experience and/or experience of working with socially-excluded groups. SV 2 has been supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse since 1994, and today provides a range of services to anyone in Derbyshire and Derby City who has experienced sexual abuse, assault or violence, including their friends and family members. We support people irrespective of age, gender or when the abuse occurred.

We are looking to recruit a team of events volunteers to help raise awareness of SV2 services at external events, celebrations and various festivals across Derbyshire.

Requirements: You must be over the age of 18 along with having great communication and interpersonal skills. You must be flexible and willing to volunteer at various locations including outside events on a rota basis with the expectation of approximately 1-2 events per month (travel expenses will be covered).

You must be enthusiastic about raising awareness of sexual abuse. You will also need access to a car with business insurance which can be used to transport marketing material such as banners and leaflets to events for this role.

Responsibilities: You will be working with a small team of volunteers to provide a visible presence in order to promote SV2 services and raise aware of sexual abuse at various events within the county. At the start and end of the event you will be expected to set up and pack away SV2 promotion materials and banners.

You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people. You will need to be non-judgemental and stay calm in sometimes challenging situations.

We are supported by an incredible team of prison volunteers who are the link between the charity and the stitchers we work with in prison. Our volunteers run fortnightly stitching groups in the prisons we work with to facilitate our stitchers’ production of high-quality needlework.

Our prison volunteers work in small teams to teach our stitchers’ embroidery and needlepoint, organise their group sessions, and liaise with the prison and FCW office.

What you will do as a prison volunteer:

• Teach people in prison how to stitch and support the completion of our premade kits in our cell groups, which consist of around 10-15 stitchers.
• Communicate with staff at our hub in Battersea to receive kits and supplies for your group and send back completed work for your stitchers to be paid.
• Encourage and help stitchers to complete our Open College Network certifications in creative needlework.
• Develop stitchers’ skills and confidence by encouraging them to take responsibility as peer mentors.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity and sharing our vision and values throughout your volunteering.

Who we are looking for:

• Skills in embroidery and/or needlepoint or a willingness to learn to stitch is essential for this role.
• Ideally some teaching experience or experience working with socially-excluded groups.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Without our volunteer drivers, the Community Food Hub simply does not run.

Food donations, supplies, and resources need to move — and you are the person who makes that happen. As our Volunteer Driver, you'll be a critical part of the operation, collecting from our partners and suppliers and delivering to the Hub so that families across Hackney can be fed.

This is a practical, independent role that puts you at the heart of our supply chain — and the impact you make is felt every single session.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Collect food donations, supplies, and resources from partner organisations and suppliers

• Deliver collections to the Community Food Hub at Fawcett Estate, Clapton

• Communicate clearly with Thomas and the Hub team about collection schedules and any changes

• Handle all food safely and responsibly during transit, following food hygiene guidelines

• Keep a simple record of collections — what was picked up, from where, and when

• Report any concerns or issues during collections immediately to Thomas

• Maintain the vehicle used for collections in a clean and roadworthy condition

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

ESSENTIAL

• Full, clean UK driving licence

• Confident, safe, and experienced driver

• Reliable and punctual — our food supply depends on you

• Able to lift and carry food boxes and bags safely

• Good communication — able to liaise clearly with the Hub team and partner organisations

What is the role?

As a Fundraising Events Admin Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping our team focus on delivering successful fundraising events and supporting our incredible fundraisers. From managing enquiries to sending out fundraising materials, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in events, fundraising, marketing, and supporter stewardship while making a meaningful difference.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Experience volunteering within a busy events team within a large UK charity.

Seed Sowers are a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the growth of The Green House. The aims of the volunteer group are:

• To help the Green House grow our funding, networks and audience
• Give advice and feedback on fundraising campaigns and strategies
• Lead and support fundraising initiatives
• Make introductions to potential collaborators like business contacts, influencers, public figures
• Represent the charity at events and talks

The role focuses on advancing the charity’s mission through fundraising and networking. The Seed Sowers is an advisory and action-oriented group, focused on proactively amplifying The Green House’s fundraising and communications initiatives and increasing the charity’s income and visibility.

The group will be led by an appointed volunteer Chair, who will coordinate activity and act as the primary point of contact.

What does the role involve?

Working in ever changing environment Active Response Volunteers respond to demands across a site. The role is very varied and involves:

• Helping staff prepare documents at essential times, including creating and printing

• Helping staff with basic information entry and calls

• Helping set up and maintain meeting rooms

• Helping collect/deliver items between teams and nearby sites

• Surge support during event days at the Head office

 • Keeping things organised on the go such as keeping the kitchen area clear, supporting sustainability actions like switching off lights

• Supporting staff with lunch and refreshment runs

• Supporting staff with simple wellbeing initiatives that help break the day via active response initiatives

• Attend a site meeting every 3 months with staff regarding site updates and contribute to ideas for active response volunteering solutions.

• Help develop awareness of the new active response service and proactively find tasks too.

• There may also be opportunities to get involved in other areas of the Trust’s work, including our NHS careers

Exclusions:

• Volunteers will not carry out clinical duties (i.e. doing the tasks which the staff have been trained to do.

• Supporting patients directly (this role is based in the Head office where direct patient care is not delivered).

• We won’t ask you to carry heavy loads
