We are looking for a passionate Social Media & Content Creator and Video Editor to help us grow our presence across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and connect with our audience.

Tasks will include:

• Editing podcast recordings to a professional standard ready for publishing
• Editing short form video reels for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
• Creating and scheduling engaging social media posts
• Writing captions and copy that connect with our audience
• Designing graphics and visual content consistent with our brand
• Funnelling our audience from social media into our Skool community
• Helping grow our following and engagement across all platforms
• Assisting with content strategy and posting schedule

This is a meaningful role with real impact — you'll be helping us reach people who need support and get our free programs in front of those who need them most.

Our Independent Visitor Service is looking for volunteers in or near to Stoke on Trent.

For many children and young people living in foster care can be unsettling. You can make a difference by volunteering as an Independent Visitor. 

We are looking for fun, reliable, and pro-active volunteers from all different cultures, backgrounds and experiences who have a genuine interest in making a difference to the lives of children and young people. 

You will decide with your young person what to do, but activities could include going to the cinema, bowling, playing football, going to a restaurant, riding a bike, or walking in a park. We will match you with a child you share common interests with. 

You do not need experience of working with children and young people, just an interest in their development and welfare. Full training and support are provided 

Here’s a few of the young people we have waiting for a volunteer: 

• Amy (12) lives with an older carer, she would like an active Independent Visitor who can do sports with her. 

• Brad (13) lives in residential care with other young people, he doesn’t have anyone in his family visit. He would like an Independent Visitor to take him out and have fun, like the other young people. 

• Cassie (16) lives with carers in a new town, she doesn’t have any friends in the area yet. She would like an Independent Visitor to help with her confidence and going out in the local area, she loves hot chocolate and cake. 

• Danny (11) lives with foster carers and attends a special school. He would like an Independent Visitor to help him be more independent, he likes parks, aeroplanes, and animals. 

• Emma (9) lives with her carer in a very busy household, she would like an Independent Visitor to spend some time with her on her own trying different activities together.

The Application 

• Volunteering mainly happens at weekends and after school hours as the young people are usually in school during the daytime 

• The role requires commitment of at least 24 months with one visit per month; this ensures stability for the Child or Young Person

Some people need support with this, but don’t have friends and family available to assist them.  This means they’re entitled to have support from an RPR and volunteer, who are there to make sure they get the care they deserve.  Your role as an RPR Support Volunteer is to collaborate with the VoiceAbility RPR to make sure a person’s views are listened to when decisions are made about their care. 

As a RPR support volunteer, you might:

• Talk with them about their feelings, thoughts and wishes

Hospital Visitor Volunteer

Hospital Visitor volunteers visit hospital settings to ensure that people detained under the Mental Health Act are aware that they have a legal right to an IMHA qualified advocate.  The volunteers are instrumental in ensuring that clients get access to an advocate and can also support the work that advocates undertake.

As a hospital volunteer, you might: 

• hold drop-in sessions
• attend events and ward meetings at local facilities
• share information
• assist people to request advocacy support by completing a form online or calling our contact centre

All volunteering will take place Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00.  You will need to be over 18 years old and be living in the UK. Please note that there is no opportunity to volunteer at weekends or in the evening.

Safeguarding Commitment Statement

About the Organisation

I am Somebody’s Child Soldier (IAMSCS) is dedicated to empowering and advocating for the rights of rescued child soldiers and child victims of war suffering from post war trauma and financial instability and displacement from education system.

Our focus is on providing access to mental health, rehabilitation programs, sustainable livelihood initiatives, as well as education opportunities to children, young people and people with disabilities within Northern Uganda.

About Us:

I am Somebody’s Child Soldier (IamSCS) works to empower war-affected individuals and populations through improved wellbeing and strengthened community inclusion. It does this through its current strategic goal of working with local communities in northern Uganda to enhance the lives of formerly abducted children and the communities they live in. With the specific objectives of improving the mental health of up to 1000 war-affected individuals, facilitating the creation of an environment that is conducive to the sustainable (re)integration of war-affected individuals, and supporting local government in northern Uganda to provide a clear prioritisation in addressing the needs of war-affected individuals. As part of its programme activities, IamSCS works with Laroo ADRA school in Gulu, northern Uganda to support its work with war-affected children. Many of the children attending this school come from impoverished backgrounds and have encountered extreme hardship in their lives with some being hearing-impaired as a result of their exposure to the Lord’s Resistance Army conflict.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Co-CEO to join our leadership team in a voluntary, part-time capacity. This role will work in partnership with the existing leadership and Board of Trustees to drive strategic growth, oversee project delivery, and strengthen organisational impact.

The Scope of leadership role is detailed below:

1)Project Support & Management:

Working with our Executive Assistant (EA) to ensure the successful delivery of our annual projects and making sure we are hitting the targets of each project. This could include:

• Ensuring the right number of partners/schools are onboarded.

• Ensuring we are meeting the predicted beneficiary numbers in the project application. • Ensuring we are meeting the predicted impact statistics.

• Supporting our EA when challenges arise.

• Deciding whether projects match with our organisation values and making key decisions whether to pursue 2nd round funding for projects.

• Writing and preparing post-project reports for funders, stakeholders and partners. • Collaborating with program director to design and implement scalable versions of our programmes – striving towards financial sustainability and increased impact.

2)Organisational Growth & Income Generation:

• Reviewing our 3-year strategic plan and identifying any new potential areas of expansion. • Leading the strategic growth of the organisation by 200%-400% over the first nine months– in terms of annual income and impact.

• Working towards financial sustainability for the organisation and its projects. • Identifying new grants/government tenders/corporate sponsorships that are relevant to our vision/mission and leading funding applications and project bids.

3)Team Management:

• Reporting into our Board of Trustees, keeping them up to date on our activities, policies and procedures.

• Line-managing our team and volunteers whilst supporting their projects as and when necessary or when challenges arise.

• Writing and managing our annual budgets – ensuring we are not overspending, flagging, and responding to financial risks as and when they appear.

• Leading recruitment activity as and when needed – recruiting new facilitators and volunteers when needed.

• Creating, applying, and updating our policies, ensuring our HR processes, safeguarding and other vital policies are robust.

• Having monthly meetings with our Trustee Board and actioning suggested changes to our projects/programmes made by the Board.

4)Growing our Network & Reach:

• Growing our relationships and networks of schools/local authorities/youth organisations to increase our work inside and outside of Uganda – identifying target areas to focus. • Using these networks to pilot and scale new/national interventions.

• Growing our relationships with local councils in Uganda and the UK.

Greatwood & Horseclose Communty Centre sits in a well established friendly community, made up of home owners, private rental and six various Housing Associations.

The Friends of Greatwood and Horseclose are looking for a new Volunteer Secretary to play a vital role in making sure that the community centre achieves its core purpose of benefitting the local community of Greatwood and Horseclose.

This role is for someone who is organised and methodical, with an eye for detail. They will plan, organise and take minutes at our meetings as well as playing an important part to develop our strategic goals.

Tasks and activities will include -

· Planning, arranging and producing meeting agendas for our trustee meetings, any sub-committees and our AGM with the Chair, in line with legal, and other regulatory requirements, and in accordance with our governing document

St John’s Lichfield is an almshouse charity with origins going back to 1495 whose main object is to provide accommodation for poor persons in need.Whether you are an experienced trustee or want to take on this work for the first time, we would very much like to hear from you.

Due to the recent retirement of long serving members we are looking for enthusiastic new people to join our Board of Trustees.

St John’s Lichfield is an almshouse charity with origins going back to 1495 whose main object is to provide accommodation for poor persons in need. We own and manage 42 apartments, which are designed for comfortable and independent living, on 2 separate sites in Lichfield city centre: one in the Cathedral Close, the other at St. John’s without the Barrs (SJWTB) which includes its own chapel. At present we have an active and thriving community of 47 residents whose ages range from 44 to 93, though we have no restriction on age.  

Our constitution also allows us to make grants to individuals in need or to organisations which provide help for such persons. All of our beneficiaries must already be resident in the Diocese of Lichfield.

We rely on our investments to supplement the maintenance contributions received from our residents.

 Whether you are an experienced trustee or want to take on this work for the first time, we would very much like to hear from you.

While we would be pleased to have people with skills in finance and accounting, business, capital projects, social care and the benefits system, what matters most is an interest in our charity, its history, its buildings and its people, and a desire to make a difference to our residents’ lives.

As a Trustee you will benefit from:

 · induction, training and reimbursable expenses,

· opportunities to make strategic decisions, develop new skills and Influence the shape of new projects, and

· having the chance to improve health and wellbeing of all those within the St. John’s community.

 The expected time commitment is attendance at 6 Trustee meetings per year which normally last for 2 hours, one full day strategy meeting and potentially some committee work. We also find that attendance at residents’ functions which are held regularly, the annual Christmas lunch and the Patronal festival enhances the enjoyment of the role for most Trustees.

RNIB is looking for enthusiastic and noisy volunteers to join our London Marathon Cheer Squad on Sunday 26th April 2026. Lend your voice and energy to cheer on our amazing runners at various RNIB Cheer Points along the route. If you can spare a few hours of your time, you can make a difference by motivating and supporting our inspirational runners.

We deliver primary healthcare to rural Ghana through mobile clinics and trained community health volunteers.

Fundraising & Grant Development

As we expand our mobile clinic operations from one to three vehicles, our funding needs are increasing significantly. We are seeking volunteers with experience in grant writing, fundraising strategy, and philanthropic partnerships to help us strengthen our funding pipeline. Support in this area could include:
- Identifying and researching relevant global health and philanthropic grant opportunities,
- Writing and refining grant proposals and concept notes
- Developing a structured fundraising strategy and grant calendar, strengthening donor communications and reporting materials

4-6 hours per week

Monitoring & Evaluation System

We're seeking support to develop a Progress Marker Monitoring System to track program activities and measure progress toward desired results. The system will link activities, objectives, and the budget to ensure resources are used effectively and planned outcomes are achieved. It will provide a simple way to monitor changes, document progress, and support informed decision-making for program improvement.
