Tools with a Mission (TWAM) is a Christian charity dedicated to empowering communities in the developing world by providing refurbished tools and trade tool kits. Annually, the organisation sends more than 20,000 tools to support livelihood creation. By partnering with local communities and skills training centers, Tools with a Mission helps individuals achieve sustainable growth and self-reliance.

This is a part time, on-site, PAID hybrid role in Ipswich for an Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the trustees and CEO by managing the busy annual calendar and schedules, preparing reports, handling confidential documentation and coordinating meetings. The role includes managing travel and expenses. This will be a month-by-month paid contracted position.

Experience:

• Executive Administrative Assistance, including managing calendars and travel arrangements.
• Experience handling Expense Reports and related financial tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong skills in Executive Support and Administrative Assistance for managing organisational operations and documentation.
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Working knowledge of office software like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and uphold confidentiality.
• Empathy with a Christian charity with an international mission and outlook.
• Prior experience in the non-profit or charity sector is a plus but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team delivering vital support to vulnerable women, children and young people in East Ayrshire. You do not need to know everything there is to know about domestic abuse, but they do need to know that you are reliable and committed to our principles and values.

The position is voluntary, but East Ayrshire Women’s Aid will provide you with training and support and pay your expenses. The Board meets at least six times a year, usually on Saturday mornings.

Talkthru is a specialist counselling charity based in Huddersfield, offering free, confidential support to individuals and families affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss and other birth-related trauma.

As a Trustee, you will share collective responsibility for the governance and strategic leadership of Talkthru. Trustees ensure that the charity fulfils its mission, operates lawfully and ethically, and maintains the trust of clients, donors, and the wider community.

Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service brings children’s centres, health visiting and school nursing together, to provide a more joined-up service for children, young people, and their families.

The centres deliver a range of support groups and activities for children and their families to help them be healthy, grow and develop. To represent Family Centre Services within local communities and help strengthen the link between families and the centre by promoting services and support available.

Key Responsibilities:

· Promote Hertfordshire Family Centres by attending toddler and parent groups and local activities.

· Distribute leaflets, posters, and other promotional materials in community venues (e.g. libraries, health centres, nurseries, shops).

· Talk to parents, carers, and professionals about the Family Centre offer, signposting them to services and activities.

· Share updates on Family Centre activities through word of mouth, local networks, and community noticeboards.

· Provide feedback to Family Centre staff about local needs, events, and opportunities for engagement.

· Represent the Family Centre in a positive and professional way at all times.

The Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer will play an important role by providing companionship to someone we support at our supported living service by spending time with them, visiting them in the home and doing activities they enjoy. These might include chatting over a cup of tea, reading books, playing board games, etc.

What sort of person are we looking for?

Someone who above all else wants to grow in their own faith and help others to do the same. You need to have a sense of calling to be here – ie a sense that this is where God wants you at this time. You are joining a community and need to be committed to meeting and seeking God as a community and wider team. You will need to be willing to serve and help out wherever needed although we do seek to place people on the teams they are most suited to, not just where there is a need.

What do we ask of you?

We ask for 30 hours service each week. Often this involves housekeeping, washing up, laying tables, serving at meal times, spending time with guests, helping welcome guests or covering reception. It may also involve helping in the gardens or painting. You will expected to join in with times of prayer and worship together as a community and spend time on your own regularly praying and reading the Bible. Depending on your age, confidence and experience you may be asked to lock up a couple of evenings a week and be on-call.

What do we offer you?

We offer a supportive and prayerful environment and if you feel it would be helpful, coaching or mentoring. We offer times of worship and prayer as a team and resident community. Accommodation and meals are provided and a small allowance to cover essentials. You will have two days off a week and additional time off for holidays. This is an ideal ‘time out’ to give you time to reflect on where God may be leading you next and how he may want you to grow.

How long can I come for:

We ask that people come for a minimum of 6 months as it takes time to settle in. We would normally suggest a maximum of one year initially with the possibility of extending this where appropriate.

Are you a big football fan who enjoys playing football as well as watching it?

We are looking for volunteer football enthusiasts to both play football and enjoy talking all things football with someone with learning disabilities and or autism.  As a volunteer you will need to be able to volunteer for a couple of hours each week.

What does the role involve?

Our football volunteers will enjoy spending time having a kick about, perhaps watching a game on TV and perhaps having a post-match discussion. Trips to watch the odd live game would also be an enjoyable experience for the people we support.
