Based in Shoreditch, we empower young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to unlock their potential, build confidence, and develop essential life skills through nurturing mentorship, inspiring role models, and transformative opportunities.
We’re in the exciting early stages of building something bold, vibrant, and community‑powered — and we’re looking for a Head of Brand, Partnerships & Impact who wants to help shape how REMIX shows up in the world.
The Role
We are seeking a creative, strategic, and people‑centred Head of Brand, Partnerships & Impact to lead REMIX’s outward‑facing work. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial role for someone who loves storytelling, relationship‑building, and amplifying a movement’s voice.
You will shape how REMIX communicates, grows, and builds influence — from brand identity and social media presence to partnerships, fundraising, and impact storytelling. Working closely with the CEO, COO, and Board, you’ll help position REMIX as a trusted, inspiring force for young Londoners.
Time commitment: 5–10 hours per week, including:

As Head of Brand, Partnerships & Impact, you will:

Lead REMIX’s brand identity, tone of voice, and visual presence across all platforms.

Build relationships with community organisations, local businesses, funders, and supporters.

Impact & Visibility

We are recruiting a digital communications volunteer to support us in protecting privacy and civil liberties issues in the UK. The role is based in our London office near Westminster (SE1 7SJ).
Time commitment: 1 day per week, 6 months minimum
In this role, you'll be volunteering under the guidance of our Digital Communications Officer to assist the organisation with high-impact communications and administrative work including supporter mailouts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Pitching ideas and creating content for our social media platforms with hundreds of thousands of followers
- Our supporter scheme, which includes sending out welcome packs
- Writing press summaries
- Executing exciting campaign actions
What we're looking for:
- The role is ideal for someone interested in growing their digital and social media communication skills. If you are passionate about privacy and civil liberties issues, want to support our high-impact communications team and want to learn about the ins and outs of our organisation, we want to hear from you!
What we can offer:

What is a Branch Secretary?
There are SSAFA branches throughout the UK and overseas. These are divided into local areas that we call divisions. Each branch has a secretary to organise day-to-day activities. This is a key role involving administration and coordinating people. As the first point of contact for SSAFA in the area you will play a crucial part in promoting SSAFA locally, organising local events and ensuring the smooth running of SSAFA across the divisions in your branch.
Why do we need you?
We’ve been supporting the Armed Forces community since 1885. Our clients come from all backgrounds and age groups and may have served in WW2 or in a more recent conflict like the Falklands or Afghanistan.
There are SSAFA branches throughout the UK and overseas who support local volunteers to deliver services to veterans, serving personnel and their families. Some branches are divided into smaller divisions to ensure the best local service delivery. Each branch has a team of volunteer caseworkers, support volunteers, executive roles, and fundraisers.
In recognition of our clients’ service to the Nation we aim to provide financial, practical and emotional support when it’s needed most. To do this we need local branches and volunteers who can match clients to volunteers and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
When would you be needed and where would you be based?
This role is about coordination and administration. As part of your local branch, you might have access to an office, but many volunteers are based at home. The role would suit someone looking to offer a regular time commitment each week. You would also need to organise and attend a number of regular meetings each year.
What would you be doing?
· Managing the branch office (if applicable) and providing support to all volunteers, especially new ones
· Work with the branch Chairperson, treasurer, and others to ensure smooth running of the branch.
· Accepting referrals and coordinating SSAFA caseworkers, visitors, and helpers accordingly
· Oversee all SSAFA casework across the branch ensuring clients get support that is effective and timely.
· Monitor volunteer numbers against the demand for support and recruit new volunteers as needed
· Working with the local training officer to ensure all volunteers are kept up to date with the training and information they need.
· Build relationships with regional and central office staff to ensure an effective flow of information.
· Maintaining accurate records of volunteers and cases, submit accurate data to Central Office
· Providing administration for an annual programme of meetings including an AGM, recording, and implementing decisions
· Being a positive ambassador for SSAFA remembering that anyone you meet could be a potential client, volunteer or fundraiser.
· Volunteering within the standards and values of SSAFA including observing our policies such as the Volunteering policy and data protection policy (these will be covered in your training and local induction.)
The remit of this role may change over the next 12-18 months depending on the outcome of a trial currently being undertaken.

· Role specific training to prepare you for your voluntary role - confidentiality and boundaries, personal safety, caseworker training, caseworker IT system training, volunteer management – attracting, recruiting, and inducting volunteers, volunteer management – case management and quality. This training would take approx. 4 days.
· Mandatory on-line training modules to complete at home, so you are up to date on how to keep clients, their families safe and personal information safe.
· Access to a range of e-learning courses as well as local opportunities to keep your training up to date.
· Support from the Chair of the branch
· Access to the Welfare Team and Volunteer Support Team based at our central office.
· Reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses
· Volunteers will be covered by SSAFAs Public Liability Insurance whilst carrying out the role.

· Friendly and approachable people of any age (18+) with some experience of coordinating people and admin
· Good written and spoken English.
· Ability to be respectful and non-judgemental with clients, their family, other agencies and SSAFA colleagues.
· Ability to send and receive emails – you will receive your own SSAFA email address.
· Ability to coordinate a team of people volunteering.
· Willingness to use our on-line case management system (this is covered in the training course)
· Ability to keep within boundaries of the role with regards to reporting any safety concerns etc
· Reliable attitude, contact clients and volunteers promptly, keep appointments etc.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and keep information safely.
· Access to public transport or a car to travel to meetings, events etc.

Your role responsibilities will include:

· Representing and championing Women in Sport by being an advocate and ambassador
· Being the guardian of our reputation seeking to ensure Women in Sport maintains its leading position in advocacy for women and girls in sport
· In partnership with other Trustees, providing guidance, support and challenge to the CEO and executive team
Key experience, skills and attributes required:
· Experience operating at Board in a non-executive or executive capacity
· Demonstrable ability of being a trusted advisor to a wide range of stakeholders, including executive management
· Detailed understanding of the boundaries which exist between the Executive and the Non-Executive
· Proven ability to provide strategic oversight of organisational performance and long-term planning
· Strong personal commitment to Women in Sport’s vision and purpose
· A demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
Terms of Appointment:
· The equivalent of circa 8-12 days per year are required. This will include four Board meetings, as well as additional committee meetings and one strategy day per year and representing the organisation in an ambassadorial capacity
· All Women in Sport Trustee appointments are non-remunerated. Expenses are available for all WiS related work
· It is expected that new Trustees will commit for at least one term of three years

Could you help to raise vital funds for SSAFA in your local area? You don’t need a military background, just the ability to get on with all kinds of people, some basic I.T skills and good written and spoken English. If you already have some fundraising experience that would be great too but it’s not essential.
What is a Fundraising Coordinator?
As Fundraising Coordinator, you would work with your local SSAFA branch to develop a Fundraising Plan. You would be central to delivering this local plan to raise funds through a range of local sources including grants, trusts, appeals, collections, and events.

SSAFA branches rely on a regular charitable income to fund all the necessities behind our support for clients. This includes volunteer travel expenses, phone bills, publicity, and grants for clients in urgent needs. A varied programme of fundraising also keeps the SSAFA profile high in the local community. We’d love to hear from you if you could help by coordinating this vital aspect of your local SSAFA branch.
When would you be needed and where would you be based?
As part of your local branch, you might have access to an office, but many volunteers are based at home. You would also be out and about at events and meetings. This role would suit someone looking to give a regular time commitment to SSAFA although when and where would be flexible to suit you.
What would you be doing?
- Developing an ethical fundraising plan based on the needs of the branch and choosing a mix of sources.
- Working with the branch secretary and Regional Fundraising Manager, recruit a team of fundraising volunteers to support events, appeals and collections.
- Working with the Regional Fundraising Manager, support national fundraising campaigns.
- Working with the Branch Publicity Officer, develop opportunities to combine awareness and fundraising.
- Planning and running local appeals, collections, and events
- Identifying and submitting applications to appropriate trusts and grant funding organisations

About the roles
Following a period of cultural reset and strengthened governance, we are now seeking exceptional trustees to help shape the Foundation’s future. This is a rare opportunity to bring strategic leadership, governance experience and sector insight to an organisation with national reach, financial stability and the growing ambition to maximise its impact ahead of Euro 2028.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking four new trustees who combine governance maturity with a strong connection to our mission. You do not need to have served as a trustee before, but you must bring senior leadership experience, sound judgment and the ability to support an evolving board as it moves into a more confident, professional and high-performing phase.
We particularly welcome individuals with experience in:
- Governance and strategic leadership
- Sport governance and football
- Arts, culture and performing arts
- HR, marketing, communications
- Senior operational, commercial, or organisational leadership
We are also looking for trustees who can bring board-level behaviours: constructive challenge, collaborative mindset, calm leadership through change and the ability to focus discussions on strategy, risk and impact.
You will be mission-focused and comfortable operating in a charity undergoing governance strengthening, cultural renewal and increased visibility. You’ll understand that while Wembley is an iconic and exciting brand, trusteeship is not about perks; it is about responsibility, scrutiny and ensuring funds reach the right communities for the greatest impact.
Our board is diverse and welcoming, but it requires greater depth of senior experience. From small beginnings more than 35 years ago The Upper Room has grown into a thriving charity with an annual budget of around £650K.
Food provision has always been at the heart of what we do. UR4Meals serves approximately 40,000 meals a year, operating five days a week.
UR4Driving works with ex-offenders and young people identified as at risk of offending. We help them pass their driving theory test, and then provide free driving lessons. Last year 37 students gained a full driving licence with us. This has a significant impact on their employability and self-esteem, and dramatically reduces re-offending.

About the Role
As Chair, you’ll lead a committed and skilled Board of Trustees, working closely with our CEO and senior team to guide strategy, ensure good governance and champion our impact.
You’ll also play a key role externally, acting as an ambassador to funders, partners and supporters.
We’re looking for someone who can
- Provide strategic leadership through a period of growth and innovation
- Foster a culture of inclusion and respect, both on the Board and across the organisation - Support and challenge the CEO, acting as a critical friend and sounding board
- Ensure excellent governance, compliance and risk management
- Represent the charity publicly, building relationships and influence
About You
We welcome candidates with prior Board experience as a Trustee, Chair or Non-Executive Director, and a strong commitment to social justice.
We especially encourage applications from those with lived experience of disadvantage, as well as those from under-represented backgrounds, including individuals from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

Additional experience in fundraising, partnerships, organisational development or public sector engagement would be welcome, though not essential.
Time Commitment
- As a Trustee in 2025/ 26 (approx. 1–2 days per month)
- Transition to Chair in 2027, subject to mutual agreement and Board approval
- Quarterly evening Board meetings (in person in London)
- Annual summer Away Day with staff and trustees
- Optional involvement in sub-committees or events depending on interest and availability
- Representing the charity at local events

The aim of our work is to help people build on their strengths, overcome obstacles, and become more in control of their lives. We support the people of Leeds to discover their own resources to ‘recover’ from periods of poor mental health, and to live life independently with their mental health condition.
Leeds Mind appoints external co-opted members to its relevant committees in order to strengthen the breadth of experience and skills available. It recognises the very valuable contribution that co-opted members make to the success of Leeds Mind and wants co-opted members to feel that the job they do is rewarding and satisfying.
Co-opted members are expected to contribute their professional, specialist, generalist and management skills to Leeds Mind’s committees in a non-executive role.
This role provides strategic insight, challenge, and support to the Quality and Performance Committee, with a specific focus on race equity and broader EDIB issues. The role will help ensure the charity’s services and internal practices are aligned with the NHS Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) and tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve.
As a minimum, co-opted members are expected to prepare for and attend all meetings of the relevant committee. Committee meetings are held quarterly and are up to two hours in duration.
Additionally, it would be beneficial, for the co-opted member to attend Leeds Mind’s Race Equity Steering Group on a bi-monthly basis where possible to enhance understanding of developing strategic and operational work.
Key tasks & responsibilities
• Strategic Oversight & Advice
- Advise on the integration of race equity and EDI principles into the charity’s quality assurance and performance frameworks.
- Support alignment with the PCREF while adapting approaches to reflect the charity’s values, mission, and community needs.
• Service Equity
- Provide scrutiny and guidance on how services are designed, delivered, and evaluated to ensure equitable access, experience, and outcomes for racialised and marginalised communities.
- Champion culturally responsive and trauma-informed care models.
• Workforce Equity
- Advise on HR practices, workforce development, and organisational culture to promote race equity and inclusion.
- Support the charity in developing inclusive recruitment, retention, and progression strategies.
• Data & Impact
- Support the committee in interpreting and using data to monitor disparities, drive improvement, and measure impact.
- Promote the use of lived experience and qualitative insights alongside quantitative metrics.
• Governance & Accountability
- Contribute to the committee’s assurance role by challenging assumptions, identifying risks, and promoting transparency in equity-related performance.
- Ensure the charity remains accountable to the communities it serves, particularly those most affected by mental health inequalities.
- Attend committee meetings, induction, training and other events, as required
- Get to know Leeds Mind through discussion with the Chair, CEO, Trustees, staff, volunteers and service users, reading relevant papers and participating in events
- Comply with all governance policies and procedures
- Represent and act in the best interests of Leeds Mind at all times
