We are seeking new Professional members of the Registry Steering Committee (RSC) to help shape the future of the Registry and ensure it meets the needs of people with CF, clinical teams, researchers and other stakeholders.

This is a voluntary role (unpaid), but reasonable expenses can be claimed for travel to attend meetings in person if required.

This role part time and home based.  This is a UK based role and candidates need to be UK based.

Term and commitment

• RSC membership term: three years (minimum one term).
• RSC meets quarterly (commitment to attend at least two meetings per year).

Who we’re looking for

We particularly welcome applications from CF professionals including:

• Adult and paediatric clinicians
• Early career professionals
• Pharmacists
• Allied health professionals
• Psychosocial workers

Applicants from across all four nations of the UK and from both adult and paediatric services are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic discussions and decision-making about the Registry’s direction.
• Review RSC papers and related documents outside scheduled meetings.
• Act as an advocate for the UK CF Registry.
• Optional: Join the Registry Data Review Group. This group meets online every six weeks and members provide Registry data request approval.

Essential experience and attributes

• Knowledge of cystic fibrosis and its key challenges.
• Ability to actively contribute to committee discussions and support informed decision-making.
• Ideally some experience working with the UK CF Registry or using its data outputs.
• CF clinicians and AHPs should be members of relevant professional bodies (e.g., BTS/BPRS, RCP/RCN, Cystic Fibrosis Specialist Group, CFMA).

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is a registered charity and one of the finest heritage railways in the world, running through 18 miles of stunning National Park landscape. About the Role

As a Trustee, you will provide strategic leadership, governance oversight, and support to help NYMR fulfil its charitable mission. This is a voluntary role, but one that carries real responsibility and tremendous reward. You will work alongside a committed team of fellow trustees, staff, and volunteers who share a deep love for our railway and the communities it serves.

As an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation, we are recognised for our cultural and creative significance at a national level.

We are committed to building a board that reflects the diversity of the communities and visitors we serve. We warmly welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, ages, sexual orientations, disabilities, and lived experiences — particularly from groups currently underrepresented in heritage and charity governance.

These four Trustee positions are filled by election by Trust members, not by direct appointment. · Heritage & Collections — protecting historic estates and collections

All Trustees Must Bring

· High-Level Leadership — senior leadership experience, whether in the public, private, or third sector

· Business Strategy — experience shaping organisational direction, commercial development, or enterprise growth

· Strong Communication & Listening Skills — the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, advocate effectively, and build consensus

· eFinance — financial acumen at a senior level, including budgeting, reporting, and investment oversight

Volunteer Ice Cream Bike Operator

About The Role

We’re looking for positive minded individuals who can bring joy and some theatre to Ice Cream sales whilst on the move on our electric trike at Martin Mere Wetland Centre.

Become the face (and wheels!) of Martin Mere Wetland Centre – a mobile, bike‑powered ice‑cream experience that pops up where the crowds are. You’ll steer one of our fully‑equipped electric bikes, to delight customers with ice cold refreshments and Ice-Creams. Use your entrepreneurial flair to maximise daily sales. Expect plenty of sunshine, spontaneous dance‑offs with kids, and the buzz of being on the move. 

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You’ll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

About You

Skills & Experience:

• Customer-facing experience: Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is highly beneficial. 
• Communication skills: Ability to interact confidently with customers and promote the business. 
• Physical fitness: Ability to cycle a loaded ice cream bike for several hours and handle the physical demands of the role. 
• Numeracy and basic tech skills: Comfortable with handling cash, using card readers, and potentially using POS apps. 
• Independence and reliability: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and ensure the business runs smoothly.
