Role Overview 

We’re looking for a creative Volunteer Causes & Impact Marketing Content Creator to help tell LoveBrum’s story, the stories of the causes we support and the impact we’re creating.

Whether you’re looking to build your portfolio, gain hands-on experience in content marketing and social media, or simply want to use your skills to support a charity you believe in, this flexible volunteer role is a fantastic opportunity. You’ll create content that that inspires people to get involved, demonstrate the impact of our work at LoveBrum, and helps more Birmingham causes get the support they deserve. 

Along the way, you’ll build real marketing experience, work alongside a passionate team, and play a key role in helping LoveBrum grow its reach and impact. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in creating engaging content for our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.) 

• Support with capturing photograph and video content for LoveBrum Causes working alongside LoveBrum service patrons and charity manager 

• Design graphics using tools like Canva for campaigns and impact storytelling 

• Help schedule and manage posts using tools such as Buffer

• Attend campaign planning and brainstorming sessions to maximise impact and causes storytelling 

• Ensure all content is in line with the charity’s tone, brand, and mission 

Ideal Candidate 

• Demonstratable experience creating marketing content, with examples to show (personal channels, university projects or client work all count) 

• Self-sufficient in production: able to shoot, edit and publish photo and video content end to end without supervision 

• Confident in editing video in CapCut or similar, and designing graphics in Canva to a publishable standard 

• Able to translate case studies and beneficiaries' stories into content that resonates with donors 

• Good written and verbal communication skills 

• Familiar with scheduling tools such as Buffer 

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage their own workload 

• An eye for compelling storytelling and a genuine interest in charitable causes

1. Communications & Brand Strategy

Responsibilities

• Lead GSI's communications and branding strategy.
• Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and publications.

Key Deliverables

• Develop an annual communications and marketing plan.
• Review and update brand guidelines annually.
• Support major organizational announcements and campaigns.

2. Digital Marketing & Content

Responsibilities

• Oversee GSI's website, social media, newsletters, and digital communications.
• Share stories that highlight GSI's programs, partnerships, and impact.

Key Deliverables

• Publish weekly digital content across key platforms.
• Produce one monthly newsletter.
• Monitor audience growth and engagement, providing quarterly performance reports.

3. Public & Media Engagement

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with media, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate public awareness campaigns and media opportunities.

Key Deliverables

• Issue press releases and media updates for major initiatives.
• Coordinate at least one public engagement or awareness campaign each quarter.
• Maintain an up-to-date media and stakeholder contact database.

4. Partnership & Fundraising Communications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Fundraising, Partnerships, and Program teams to develop communication materials that support resource mobilization.

Key Deliverables

• Support 100% of major fundraising and partnership campaigns with communication materials.
• Develop impact stories, presentations, and donor communication pieces as required.

5. Team Leadership & Performance

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Communications team while promoting collaboration across departments.

Key Deliverables

• Hold monthly team planning meetings.
• Conduct quarterly performance and content reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve communication processes and audience engagement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will be measured by:

• Growth in website traffic and social media engagement.
• Delivery of the annual communications plan.
• Consistent publication of digital content and newsletters.
• Number and quality of media features and public engagements.
• Communication support provided for fundraising and partnership initiatives.
• Brand consistency across GSI platforms and publications.
• Stakeholder and audience engagement levels.

We are busy team delivering the Supported Internships programme in Stafford (ST18). The programme is based around employment and leisure for young adults with learning disabilities between age 16 and 25. We help people to develop skills for work in a employment setting and build their confidence.

We prepare them for work, and help them improve their Maths and English skills in a classroom setting, as well as:

• Improving their confidence and communication skills
• Building on their social skills with each other and out in the community
• Keeping them inspired and engaged

What You will be doing:

• You will support staff in the classroom with activities
• You will support learners to improve their Maths and English skills
• You will engage with learners, to improve their confidence and independence
• You will encourage learners to try new things and gain new skills
• Out in the community you will support staff to keep learners motivated and engaged

As a volunteer you will help Mencap staff deliver the classroom sessions assisting young adults to improve their skills, and be a support in the community.

**The classroom sessions run from 9am - 4.30pm. Monday and Tuesday. We require a volunteer to be able to commit to one day per week or fortnightly for the academic year. **

SolidariTee is an international charity run and led entirely by volunteers who are students and young people. Trustee of the Rose Road Association Charity – Voluntary Position

The Rose Road Association has been working with children, young people and their families from across Hampshire and the surrounding counties since 1952. The children who attend The Association have profound and multiple learning difficulties and physical disabilities. The charity currently employs around 200 staff and has a turnover of c£5m

The range of services provided includes activity schemes, residential short breaks, family information and advice services and community support to over 300 families in Hampshire and surrounding counties.

We are looking for people passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young disabled people – could you become part of our dedicated Trustee Team?

Commitment

6 meetings annually in addition to occasional one-off events. All of our Trustees hold a lead role for a certain aspect of the organisation, this could include occasional additional meetings with Officers.

Purpose

Charity Trustees hold the responsibility for the strategic governance of the charity.  This includes, but is not restricted to:

· Safeguarding of service users and staff

· Oversight of financial planning and management

Triple Skillz Charity is a Leicestershire-based organisation working with young people who are at real risk of entering the criminal justice system. We exist to intervene early — building confidence, developing skills, and helping young people move towards employment, education, and away from crime and criminal associations. We are currently recruiting volunteer mentors for our Aspire Project.

About the role

As an Aspire Project Mentor, you will be matched with a young person and work alongside a co-mentor to provide consistent, supportive, and positive adult presence in their life — sometimes for the first time. You will meet with your mentee on a weekly basis for up to 2 hours, for a period of around 12 months, helping them to identify their goals and work towards them.

You will support your mentee with their confidence, self-esteem, and personal development; help them to think through choices around education, employment, and relationships; and be a reliable, steady presence they can turn to when facing difficult situations.

You do not need any specific qualifications or professional background. What matters most is that you are reliable, consistent, and genuinely committed to making a difference.

What we will provide

Full training and induction before you begin, covering mentoring skills, safeguarding, and health and safety. Ongoing support from your project co-ordinator throughout. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Why it matters

The evidence is clear — having a consistent, supportive adult in a young person's life can have a profound impact. If we help keep just one young person out of custody, we save around £250,000 and, far more importantly, we help change the course of a life.

Treasurer

Voluntary position (reasonable expenses reimbursed)

Time Commitment: Four Board meetings per year, held in person, and four online Finance and Risk Committee meetings. There will also be ad hoc engagement with the Finance Director and Chief Executive, and one annual team day.

Our client is one of the region’s leading homelessness and social inclusion charities, supporting around 6,000 people each year to build safe, independent lives. For more than 50 years, they have helped people facing homelessness, poverty, poor mental health and social exclusion by providing compassionate, person-centred support that drives lasting change.

Our client is looking for a finance professional to join the Board of Trustees as Treasurer and help shape the future of a charity making a real difference within the communities it serves.

As Treasurer, you’ll provide strategic financial oversight, chair the Finance and Risk Committee, and support confident decision-making with the Chair, trustees, Chief Executive and Finance Director.

Person specification:

• Financial leadership: A proven track record of providing strong financial leadership and working collaboratively with senior staff, including a Finance Director.
• Financial expertise: Strong knowledge of financial management and practice, ideally with experience in the charity sector and familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. the Charities Act).
• Governance understanding: A clear understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship.
• Financial analysis: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess financial data, evaluate proposals, and understand their broader implications.

We are looking for a lively dynamic individual to promote the activities of Sussex Area Ramblers by regular communications with members and engaging with local media including producing press releases and responding to enquiries. 

The main purposes of the role are (1) to maintain regular communications with Sussex Area Ramblers’ members by producing articles for the Area Website and sending email communications to keep members up to date with Area activities, including developing a social media strategy and (2) to communicate (together where necessary with Ramblers' Central Office) with media in the Area, including by way of proactive press releases, and deal with media enquiries, to ensure that the activities and charitable role of the Sussex Area Ramblers are given a high profile
