Social media and digital content editor volunteer roles

What will you be doing?

You should be an experienced and talented video editor/content creator.

This is an opportunity to boost your portfolio and build a very high profile network for furthering your career, gain visibility and also be associated with the world' biggest UN Global Goals initiative of its kind.

The editor will

• Create short intro and ending animations/transitions for the festival's SM, SM ads and screenings
• Edit the interviews (Zoom/Teams) and additional footage/still to create social media ready files for YT, LI, FB, TW and IG
• Add subtitles and captions as needed for the videos

You would need to have your own professional equipment and software and a camera and lights (if you are also a videographer - preferred, not mandatory)
 

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience (3 or more years) of hands-on experience with editing softwares (Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro X or Avid Media Composer  or Lightworks and Premier etc)
• Can create dynamic and impactful content for different social media channels
• Capacity to work to tight deadlines
• Experience working to a specification
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Understands the resource constraints of a not for profit and is able to work with those
• Open to feedback
• Maintain confidentiality and utmost standards of professional etiquette

SheRebuilds

We provide free psychological care, coaching, and career support enabling domestic violence survivors' independence.

Video editor

SheRebuilds is an international nonprofit project that supports women who have experienced domestic violence and are rebuilding their lives through education and career growth. We provide free online psychological support, coaching, and career guidance — helping women take their first confident steps toward independence. We’re looking for a creative and reliable Video Editor (volunteer) to join our growing team.

�� What you’ll do

• Edit 3–4 short videos per month (mainly for Instagram Reels, possibly TikTok in the future).
• Work closely with our Content Creator to bring storytelling ideas to life.
• Add captions, graphics, and music in line with the project’s tone — calm, supportive, and empowering.
• Help shape our visual style and experiment with new formats that engage and inspire.

• Experience editing short social media videos (Reels, TikToks, etc.).
• A sense of storytelling, rhythm, and emotional impact.
• Ability to dedicate around 4–6 hours per week.
• Interest in topics like women’s empowerment, mental health, or social change.

Rising Capacities for Children Africa (RICCA)

We provide inclusive afterschool programs in rural Kenya fostering learning, mentorship, skills and community empowerment.

Volunteer Video Editor

Rising Capacities for Children Africa (RICCA) is a locally led nonprofit supporting children in rural Kenya to learn, grow, and thrive through after-school programs. We are looking for a creative and reliable Video Editor (Volunteer) to help us tell powerful stories from the ground and amplify children’s voices.

�� What you’ll do

• Edit 3–6 short videos per month for social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Create short reels (30–90 seconds) and edit longer storytelling videos (up to 10 minutes)
• Work closely with our team to turn real stories from our after-school programs into engaging content
• Add captions, simple graphics, and music aligned with RICCA’s tone — hopeful, authentic, and community-driven
• Help shape and grow RICCA’s visual storytelling style across platforms
• Suggest creative formats (before/after stories, impact clips, beneficiary voices, mini-documentaries)

• Experience editing short-form content (Reels, Shorts) and longer videos-10 mins maximum
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and emotional connection
• Interest in education, child development, community impact, or social change
• Ability to work with real, sometimes raw footage from field settings

The Ethos Group is charged with scrutinising draft materials (physical or digital) to ensure that what the Church says is authentically Methodist. To fulfil its purpose, the Ethos Group requires a Convenor.

Expressions of interest are invited from lay and ordained members of the Methodist Church in Britain. The Ethos Group is crucial for ensuring diversity in the Church’s resources, and so aims to demonstrate diversity amongst its membership. We particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic members of the Church.

Crisis of Faith: 1 in 4 young Muslims are leaving the religion due to various factors, primarily the pervasive anti-religious content and temptations they encounter online and oine.

Roots Academy exists to bridge this gap by providing a structured and transformative Islamic education that speaks directly to the needs and challenges of young Muslims today, delivered in an engaging and accessible form that provokes thought and action.

Role Summary

To bring our vision to life, you will play a key role in shaping how Roots Academy tells its story visually. As a Videographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content that supports our educational programs, strengthens our online presence, and helps our message resonate deeply with audiences across digital platforms.

Key Tasks

• Plan, film, and capture high-quality video content for social media, campaigns, events, interviews, and educational content.
• Work collaboratively with content leads, marketers, and editors to deliver video assets aligned with campaign goals.
• Set up and manage camera, audio, and lighting equipment as needed for shoots.
• Ensure all footage is captured in line with Roots Academy's visual style and brand guidelines.
• Organise, label, and maintain video files and footage libraries in shared drives.
• Support with basic shot planning, scene composition, and creative direction where needed.

What we're looking for:

• Passion for Islamic education and contributing to the development of young Muslims.
• Strong videography skills with experience using cameras, audio equipment, and lighting setups.
• A good eye for composition, storytelling, and visual detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage shoots efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once.
