Are you interested in facilitating a face-to-face peer support group for people who are struggling with their mental health? We are looking for passionate volunteers to facilitate a group to discuss topics relating to mental health

What you will be doing

• Facilitating weekly face-to-face peer support groups, covering topics related to mental health.
• Encouraging participation and providing focus and guidance for engaging and inclusive discussions.
• Providing consistent support through regular attendance and facilitation of weekly peer support groups.
• Managing and de-escalating conflicts or disagreements that may arise during group meetings.

The skills you need

• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment where participants feel valued and are treated with fairness, equity and respect.
• Confidence in facilitating group discussions and managing group dynamics.
• Lived experience of mental health, or a genuine interest in learning about mental health and recovery.
