Touch Grass has come a long way over the past few years. What started as a community-led idea has grown into an organisation creating joyful opportunities for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour to reconnect with nature, creativity and one another through nature, creativity and community.
As we continue to grow, we're looking to strengthen our governance and are recruiting a small number of volunteer Board Directors to help guide the next chapter of our journey.
As a founder-led organisation, we're looking for people who are excited to support and steward our long-term vision. The Board's role will be to provide strategic oversight, accountability and thoughtful challenge, while the day-to-day running of Touch Grass continues to be led by our Founder & CEO, alongside the core team.
Our Board will meet once every quarter (four meetings a year), with occasional input between meetings where appropriate.
We're looking for someone with experience in:
🌱 Finance & Accounting (Treasurer)
We're particularly interested in people who believe in equity, collective care and community-led change. We know that stronger governance comes from diverse perspectives, and we'd especially love to hear from people whose lived experiences reflect the communities we exist to serve.
This is a voluntary opportunity to help shape the long-term future of an organisation working to make the outdoors more welcoming, representative and accessible for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in—or you know someone who would be a brilliant fit—we'd love to hear from you.

Are you driven and motivated by sales with knowledge of running an online shop? Are you familiar with Facebook marketplace, eBay Vinted and any others? Could you take on the roles of managing our products, selling them, packing them and posting them? A few hours a week volunteer time is all we are asking for a new dynamic role that could lead to a big business opportunity, whilst raising vital funds for a small grassroots charity.
We are looking for an 'Online Seller' volunteer to coordinate the end to end process of itemising and uploading the items on online reseller sites (i.e. facebook marketplace, ebay, vinted), packing up items, and managing all communication and item exchange with interested buyers to maximise the funds from sales as much as possible. The items will be dropped off to you to coordinate pick up with buyers, and therefore we are looking for volunteers that are London based only and have the space to store small items (clothing, books, ornaments etc).
As well as ideally having previous experience selling items online through online marketplaces like facebook and ebay, we are looking for volunteers who are highly organised, with strong written communication skills, in order to deal with buyers throughout the process. We are looking for that high energy person to help push the sales of our products, ranging right across the board from anything to everything.
This role will help raise vital funds for PINTs work and is a great chance to give time back to supporting an amazing grassroots charity. However there is commission avaliable of up to 50% per item of the profit made. The rewards are huge but the impact will be greater.

The UK Men’s Sheds Association is seeking a small number of new trustees, based anywhere in the UK. The role is voluntary (reasonable expenses are covered) but is an opportunity to be part of an engaged, effective and friendly Board of an important national charity.
While the roles are primarily as general trustees, there will also be opportunities to serve on one of our two formal sub-committees – Audit & Risk and People. We are also recruiting for a trustee to act as our Treasurer (a role-specific advert is on our website).
The UKMSA Board fulfils a governance function, ensuring we use our resources responsibly, and that we comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. As a trustee, you will play a key role in ensuring UKMSA’s sustainability and effectiveness, overseeing our strategy and governance, including ensuring we continue to operate to the public benefit. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to use their professional and personal expertise to make a meaningful difference to communities across the UK.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and you do not need previous charity Board experience.
We regularly review the collective skills and experience of the Board members, and use this to inform recruitment. In particular, we are looking this time around for applicants who can bring significant charity or broader financial experience (not only for the Treasurer role but also to support our Audit & Risk function); experience of national or significant fundraising; and a background in HR or ‘people skills’. These are, however, not prescriptive and we welcome applications from anyone who feels they may have something to offer a medium-sized national charity which has significant impact which belies its size.
Our recruitment is also informed by our policies, especially our EDI and volunteering policies. While the Men’s Sheds movement itself has an understandable male focus, we are keen to maintain a truly diverse Board, both in terms of the protected characteristics under the Equalities Act and in terms of the diversity of experience and background our trustees bring. It is not a UKMSA policy per se, but we aim to maintain a balance of trustees who come from the Shedding movement alongside those who bring external perspectives. Trustees may be based in any part of the UK (we aim to have at least one trustee who is based in every one of the UK home nations).
We ask that all trustees explicitly sign up to their responsibilities, both statutory and regulatory, with a commitment to good governance and ethical leadership. We also expect a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a diverse and supportive Board, and as a constructive critical friend with the CEO and staff senior leadership team.
We are the support body for Men’s Sheds across the UK. We work hard to inspire and support the development of Men's Sheds.

About Quilombo UK
Quilombo UK is a social justice organisation dedicated to inspiring individuals to "See, Think, Behave and Speak Differently" about equality, diversity, and inclusion. We create engaging experiences—ranging from our Beyond Bias training to our "Voices for All" podcasts—that raise awareness and empower unheard voices within our diverse communities.
The Marketing department is a cornerstone of our Professional Development Programme (PDP) and Enhanced Professional Development Programme (ePDP). As Head of Marketing, you will lead the integrated Public Relations and Graphic Design teams to create the visual identities, professional portfolios, and public-facing narratives that enable our participants to showcase their talents effectively. By producing high-standard creative work and securing media visibility that documents their professional journey, you directly provide the "proof of impact" required to bridge employment gaps and help career changers and newcomers to the UK overcome discrimination in the job market.
Operations Manager of Department (Marketing)
The Opportunity
This position offers a significant career step-up, providing experience in managing integrated creative operations, brand strategy, and public relations within a social justice framework. In this Operations Manager capacity, you will gain the leadership credentials and strategic oversight necessary to advance your professional trajectory while ensuring the visual and narrative identity of our mission is powerful, consistent, and impactful.
Role Purpose
The Operations Manager of Marketing sits between Directors and Managers, turning high-level creative and communication objectives into clear, deliverable department plans. You will own the direction, structure, and delivery control of both the Graphic Design and PR functions to ensure pace, reliability, and professional excellence across all internal and external outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Strategic Planning: Turning Director objectives (e.g., PDP marketing packs, QMC branding, podcast promotion) into practical departmental plans with synchronized design and PR timelines.
Manager Leadership: Coaching Graphic Design and PR Managers to run projects effectively, ensuring 100% work visibility in MeisterTask.
Brand & Narrative Consistency: Ensuring that visual assets and written communications (press releases, social media, articles) are perfectly aligned with Quilombo UK’s tone and brand standards.
Assurance & Rework Control: Reducing rework by improving initial brief clarity and ensuring time is built into plans for thorough creative and editorial review.
Director Reporting: Providing weekly reports on marketing milestones, media engagement, WIP status, and risks, offering clear recommendations for strategic choices.
Culture & Standards: Ensuring the department aligns with Quilombo UK’s communication standards and professional values.
Additional Professional Benefits
Career Development: A full CV and profile review conducted by our Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams.
Operational Support: Access to the services of the Legal, HR, Research, and Production teams for up to 10 hours per month for professional or departmental support.
Proactive Recruitment: Use of the Talent Acquisition team to actively search out new roles and opportunities via industry portals and LinkedIn.
Financial Incentives: Profit Sharing & Commission
Project Commission: To recognise the transition toward paid work, a commission structure is in place for any paid work carried out.
Head of Department Share: The Ops Mgr receives a 15% share of the commission for work carried out. This percentage is shared between all individuals at the Ops Mgr level working on a specific task.
Business Development Bonus: If work is brought in by the Ops Mgr (rather than a Quilombo UK director), the Ops Mgr will receive an additional 10% commission on top of their standard share.
Payment Terms: Commission is paid upon project completion and after payment is received from the client.
Requirements
Essential
Proven experience in marketing management, graphic design, or public relations.
A portfolio of illustrations, graphics, and/or PR campaigns (press releases, social media strategy) / CV.
Familiarity with design software (Adobe Suite, Canva) and PR/Social Media technologies.

Focused, organised, and able to prioritise and execute tasks independently.
To show professionalism at all levels and in all environments.
Strong team player with the ability to lead multiple specialist functions.
A keen eye for aesthetics, detail, and narrative tone.
Excellent communication skills.
Degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
This is a 100% remote-only position.
