About the Role 

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. We aim to increase inclusion and representation for disabled families across society. We have several different services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails and more. 

As Buttons & Bubbles continues to grow, we are looking for people who can grow our Linkedin network and also general leads into development and business opportunities

Who Are We Looking For? 

• Someone who is passionate about our mission of inclusion, representation, and belonging.

What Do We Expect? 

• Must be willing to undertake our training programme, which will be completed virtually at a time that suits you. 

• Have a DBS check (preferably be on the update service) or be willing to complete one with us. 

• Sign our volunteer contract. (If you disagree with anything in it, please discuss it with us, we’re happy to make small changes where appropriate.) 

• Have a positive attitude toward disability and illness. We’re always happy to answer questions about this.

Main tasks:

• Working on real life marketing projects

• Submitting ideas for marketing programmes/campaigns designed to enhance and grow the company’s brand

Our support volunteers usually spend 2-5 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

The Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship Fund (LUTSF) is seeking new board members to support the next phase of its development. Established in 1987 in memory of dance pioneer Lisa Ullmann, the charity exists to enable individuals working in dance and movement to travel internationally in order to deepen their practice, learn new approaches, and contribute to creative and cultural exchange. LUTSF awards small scholarships annually and operates as a UK‑registered charity (no. 1203903).

Board members meet twice per year in central London to review applications, discuss strategy, and agree on scholarship awards. Meetings are scheduled well in advance and take into account members’ availability. These are voluntary, unpaid roles, though reasonable expenses are reimbursed. Prior experience serving on a board is not required; LUTSF provides a full induction, training, and ongoing support for all new board members.

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Freelance Counsellor to provide emotional support, guidance, and therapy sessions to our clients. This is a unique opportunity to work in a mission-driven social enterprise where your expertise directly fuels social impact.

As a counsellor, you will:

• Provide individual and group counselling sessions for children, teenagers, and single-parent families.

• Use your professional expertise to guide clients through challenges including trauma, grief, anxiety, and abuse recovery.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguarding standards in line with UK regulations.

• Collaborate with Guardian Light Enterprises and the Foundation team to refer clients to additional support programs where appropriate.

• Participate in impact reporting to help shape future programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality counselling sessions tailored to individual client needs.

• Document sessions and maintain records securely in compliance with safeguarding and GDPR policies.

• Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and empowerment for clients.

• Engage with Guardian Light Enterprises LTD in strategic discussions to improve program delivery.

• Attend occasional training and team meetings (via Microsoft Teams).

Ideal Candidate

• Accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist, or Mental Health Professional with relevant UK registration.

• Experience working with children, teenagers, and vulnerable families.

• Strong empathy, emotional intelligence, and a trauma-informed approach.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Passionate about social impact and committed to transforming lives.

Hours & Compensation

• Recommended: 8–12 hours per month (approx. 2–3 clients per week, depending on session length).

Volunteer Chairperson Milton Keynes Junior Ice Hockey Club (MKJIHC)

Milton Keynes Junior Ice Hockey Club is a registered charity delivering training and competitive ice hockey to young people aged 5 to 19. We are affiliated with English Ice Hockey and have teams competing in both the Junior league and Women’ National Ice Hockey league.

We are seeking a Chairperson who is enthusiastic about youth sports and development to lead our committee to continue to grow and develop the club whilst remaining inclusive and accessible to all.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who have strong leadership skills and can encourage collaborative working who are independent of Milton Keynes Ice Hockey. Previous board or governance experience would be beneficial but not essential.

This is a voluntary role, expected to require 8-10 hours a month of your time, though there can be occasions where additional input is necessary. There is a requirement to attend the monthly face to face committee meeting but there will be flexibility regarding other involvement.

Role Overview

The Chairperson is responsible for leading MK Storm Junior Ice Hockey Club and ensuring it operates

effectively as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). As both Chairperson and Trustee, the role

provides strategic leadership, supports strong governance, and ensures the charity delivers its objectives of

developing young people through ice hockey.

The Chair works closely with the Board of Trustees, committee, coaching staff, volunteers, and parents to

ensure the club is well-managed, financially sustainable, and aligned with its charitable purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Governance

● Chair committee meetings and ensure effective decision making.

● Provide strategic leadership to support the long term development of the club.

● Ensure the charity operates in line with its governing document and charitable objectives.

● Support trustees and committee members in fulfilling their responsibilities.

Charity Trustee Duties

● Fulfil the legal duties of a trustee in accordance with the Charity Commission for England and

Wales.

● Ensure the charity complies with relevant laws, regulations, and safeguarding requirements.

● Act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries (young players).

● Ensure appropriate financial oversight and responsible use of charitable funds.

Strategic Development

● Lead the development and implementation of the club’s strategic vision.

● Support growth in participation, player development pathways, and community engagement.

● Identify opportunities for partnerships, funding, and sponsorship.

Club Oversight

● Provide oversight of key operational areas including:

○ Coaching programmes

○ Safeguarding and welfare

○ Finance and budgeting

○ Volunteer management

○ Events and competitions

● Work closely with the club’s designated safeguard lead to ensure a safe environment for all young

players.

Representation

● Act as the primary ambassador for the club.

● Represent the organisation with governing bodies and partners such as Ice Hockey UK and

England Ice Hockey.

● Build positive relationships with the local community and sporting organisations.

Committee & Volunteer Support

● Encourage a collaborative and inclusive committee culture.

● Support recruitment and development of volunteers and committee members.

● Ensure clear delegation and accountability across the club structure.

Key Skills & Experience

● Leadership or governance experience (charity, sport, or community organisations).

Every year, over 14,000 people in Wessex hear the words no one wants to hear: “You have cancer.” At Wessex Cancer Support, we’re here to make sure no one faces that moment - or the months and years that follow - alone. We offer free, personalised emotional and wellbeing support through our four centres, outreach work and online services, helping people live well with and beyond cancer.

We’re now looking to recruit new Trustees to join our Board at a pivotal moment in our 45-year journey. As we deliver our five-year strategy and respond to rising demand, your insight and leadership will help shape the future of cancer support across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.

Who we’re looking for

We welcome people with professional or commercial experience in areas such as:

• Fundraising
• Marketing & brand
• IT, CRM or data management
• HR & people

But above all, we’re looking for people who share our values - compassion, purpose, inclusivity and collaboration - and who want to make a meaningful difference.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and we are particularly keen to build an ethnically diverse Board to ensure we fully represent our communities.

Whether you’re an experienced trustee or stepping into governance for the first time, we’ll support you with a structured induction, mentoring and ongoing development.

What you’ll do

As a Trustee, you’ll help steer the strategic direction of the charity, support our CEO and senior team, and ensure we remain financially resilient and fit for the future.
You’ll bring your expertise, your curiosity and your commitment to helping us reach more people affected by cancer.

Time commitment:

• Four Board meetings a year
• One annual strategy day
• Optional sub-committee involvement
• Occasional events and ad hoc discussions

This is a voluntary role; reasonable expenses are covered.

What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork
• Championing our work – helping to develop new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection

Time commitment

This role is flexible and designed to fit around your other commitments. You’ll be part of a friendly team raising vital funds — and having fun along the way.
