The Vice President supports the President in leading the chapter, helping organise events, volunteers, and committee activities, and proactively seeking new opportunities. As the chapter’s second-in-command, you’ll provide guidance, assist with problem-solving, and help shape the direction of Make a Smile. The role is flexible and adaptable, allowing you to develop leadership skills, support the President, and maintain strong communication with the Board of Trustees. Strong initiative, organisation, and teamwork are key.

The Wellbeing Officer represents the voice of volunteers and helps ensure a positive, inclusive, and supportive chapter culture. You’ll provide a safe and approachable point of contact for volunteers, gather feedback, and raise concerns or suggestions with the committee where appropriate. The role involves developing a chapter wellbeing plan, promoting widening access, and creating a welcoming environment where volunteers feel heard and supported. You’ll also assist the President and Vice President with wider committee responsibilities.
