The Admin Assistant role offers a great opportunity for the right person who is looking to:

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK and QMC Capoeira School runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. We are looking for motivated medical students to help validate clinical cases on our platform before publication. In this role, you will review case content for medical accuracy, clarity, realism, and educational value. You will check whether the history, physical examination findings, investigations, diagnosis, and management steps are logical, guideline-aligned, and appropriate for the learner level. Validators will also help identify unclear wording, duplicated questions, incorrect classifications, missing key steps, and any details that could confuse students. Your feedback will directly improve the quality of our medical simulations and help ensure that each case provides a safe, realistic, and high-value learning experience. This role is ideal for medical students who enjoy clinical reasoning, medical education, and reviewing cases in detail. It is also a great opportunity to contribute to an innovative educational platform, strengthen your academic profile, and potentially have validated cases published under your name after final review.

Greatwood & Horseclose Communty Centre sits in a well established friendly community, made up of home owners, private rental and six various Housing Associations.

The Friends of Greatwood and Horseclose are looking for a new Volunteer Secretary to play a vital role in making sure that the community centre achieves its core purpose of benefitting the local community of Greatwood and Horseclose.

This role is for someone who is organised and methodical, with an eye for detail. They will plan, organise and take minutes at our meetings as well as playing an important part to develop our strategic goals.

Tasks and activities will include -

· Planning, arranging and producing meeting agendas for our trustee meetings, any sub-committees and our AGM with the Chair, in line with legal, and other regulatory requirements, and in accordance with our governing document

Hopian is looking for volunteers to be the first point of contact for anyone who gets in touch with our Helpline for those affected by Domestic Abuse and Child Sexual Exploitation.

Hopian is a registered charity that provides advice and support for adults and children who have experienced Domestic Violence and Abuse through the provision of refuge accommodation and community support services.  We also provide support and access to counselling for people affected by Child Sexual Exploitation.

What the role entails:

• Answer inbound calls and respond to general enquiries to help people understand our service and the next steps.

Training, supervision & support

You will receive a structured induction, role-specific training, and ongoing group supervision, plus access to the Volunteer Handbook and a supportive team environment.

Recruitment process

Once you submit your CV and covering letter, it will be reviewed and shortlisted against the role criteria. If your application meets the requirements, you will be invited to an interview.

Applicants who are successful at the interview will receive a conditional offer, subject to standard checks. These include identity verification, two satisfactory references, and, where required for the role, a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

We will keep you informed at each stage and will advise you of induction dates once we have made a conditional offer.

Before starting your role, you will need to attend all required induction and role-specific training. The Wellbeing Officer (Trustee) provides information, guidance and advice to volunteers and service users around topics such as mental health and wellbeing. Additionally, if service users or volunteers have any concerns, the best point of contact is the wellbeing officer.

What do we specifically expect of this role?

● Delivery of a plan to proactively assist officers and volunteers in public-facing roles, with tools and techniques to prevent or reduce any initial harm/trauma from purposeful or accidental harmful interactions - social media, live events, outreach, panel events, etc.

● Providing support for service users by way of triaging and responding to requests that come through to the wellbeing inbox. ● Building and maintaining wellbeing resources for service users and following a data-informed approach as to areas of wellbeing improvement. This includes building relationships with external service providers that can assist in helping members of our community.

How much commitment is required?

We are flexible around your own schedule. However, the following commitments are in place for all member of the Hidayah board:

● To be able to attend all Trustee meetings and to deliver a comprehensive report to the committee each meeting with updates and to completed actions as and when they appear;

● To aim to attend all other planning meetings as necessary when close to Hidayah events as well as the events themselves (where possible due to geography);

● To help to fundraise for, and advertise, any Hidayah events and fundraising drives;

● To be part of a communications group to keep up to date with Hidayah developments;

● To contribute toward and to maintain the administration of our file sharing system ‘Google Drive’ so it is always up to date with clear records, templates and forms; 1

● To check emails and to respond when needed;

● Enthusiasm, dedication, responsiveness, flexibility and eagerness in supporting the aims, vision and mission of Hidayah;

● To contribute toward the Annual Report once a year;

If taking on the role, you're expected to be in post until the next AGM. This role is subject to a 6 months probationary period.

• Driving around the Worcester area, which will be the start and end point of the majority of journeys  

• Assisting people we support in and out of vehicles and locations – with assistance from trained Dimensions staff.  

• Driving in a manner that is sensitive of physical and emotional requirements of the people we support.  

  
We are looking for drivers who:  

• Are aged 21 or over, with at least 2 years driving experience  

• Hold a full, clean and current UK Driving License (or equivalent)  

• Have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions in relation to journeys  

• Are friendly with the people we support and our support staff  

• Are willing to commit to volunteer regularly (every other weekend, times to be agreed)  

A DBS check and two character references will be required for this role.
