Job description

We’re looking for an exceptional finance leader to join SeeAbility’s Board of Trustees.

This is much more than a technical finance role. We want someone who can bring financial expertise, commercial insight and independent judgement to the Board, helping us make great strategic decisions and ensure SeeAbility remains financially sustainable as we pursue our ambitions to enable people with learning disabilities, autism, and sight loss to live, love, thrive and belong.

Founded in 1799, SeeAbility is one of the UK’s oldest disability charities. We support more than 300 people through social care, and our expanding Special Schools Eye Care service will enable us to reach 70,000 children each year.

You’ll contribute to the Board and our Finance & Audit Committee, bringing constructive challenge and oversight across financial performance, risk, audit and assurance. We’re particularly interested in accomplished finance professionals with significant leadership experience; an accountancy qualification, ideally ACA or ACMA, is desirable.

You don't need to have been a charity Trustee before. What matters are your values, expertise, curiosity, independence of mind and commitment to helping us make the best possible decisions for the people we support.
