Responsibilities:

• All trustees have joint governing responsibilities with other trustees to ensure Pure Innovations meets its objectives:
• Ensuring that the Charity has a clear vision, mission and strategic direction and is focused on achieving these.
• Being responsible for the performance of the Charity and for its “corporate” behaviour; ensuring that the Charity complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Acting as guardians of the Charity’s assets, both tangible and intangible, taking all due care over their security, deployment and proper application.
• Ensuring that the Charity’s governance is of the highest possible standard. The Trustee with HR responsibilities takes on additional responsibilities to include:
• Being committed to ensuring highest standards of governance in policies and practice related to employee relations, recruitment, retention, reward and recognition as well as staff and trustee training and development. To review and recommend current and future strategic resourcing where appropriate.
• Assessing risks and measuring the impact of HR interventions in the light of changing legal requirements and best practice.
• Ensuring long-term strategic oversight of the organisation’s personnel and staffing requirements in relation to the overarching goals of the charity.
• To actively contribute as required to policy setting, strategic direction, goal and target setting, and evaluate performance against targets, budgets, plans and charitable objectives.
• To ensure that HR activities and interventions are linked to the charitable objectives

We are looking for a skilled volunteer Front End WordPress developer to join our team of volunteer designers, developers and copywriters to recreate and redesign our existing website.

This is a remote role and the successful candidate will be working closely with the designer, backend developer and stakeholders to redesign the charity website according to Figma designs and accessibility standards.

We are looking for people to help lead some our teams across the organisation. We are volunteer led and manage 65+ volunteers across the country, most of them remoately. There are 10 different teams ranging from creative to business development. We are looking for up to 10 people to help with the coordination of feedback, delegation of tasks and assisting with running monthly meetings. We have a very diverse team of volunteers from all different culture, religons and disabilities.

Our partner is an international development charity working across sub-Saharan Africa to support people with limb loss through access to prosthetic services, peer support, and sustainable locally led programmes.

The Treasurer will work with the Board, Director and a part time accountant to oversee the charity’s financial management and governance. Responsibilities include reviewing management accounts and budgets, supporting the preparation of annual financial statements, chairing the Finance Committee, and advising the Board on financial strategy and risk.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with senior experience in finance, audit or accountancy. You will be comfortable operating at board level, able to explain financial information clearly to non financial trustees, and motivated by values led work in international development.

This role involves a time commitment of around 20 to 30 hours per year, including quarterly online Board and Finance Committee meetings.

Say Aphasia is a charity supporting people living with aphasia—a language and
communication disability that can affect a person’s ability to speak, understand, read, or
write, often caused by stroke or brain injury. Our local support groups offer a safe,
welcoming environment where people with aphasia and their families can connect, share,
and support one another.

Role Overview
We are seeking a volunteer marketing expert to help design and deliver creative
marketing strategies that strengthen our fundraising campaigns. Your expertise will help
us reach new supporters, increase donations, and grow our impact.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in marketing, digital campaigns, brand
strategy, or fundraising communications who wants to apply their skills to a
meaningful cause.

VOLUNTEER BRANCH CHAIR/COORDINATOR

Across the UK, our 60+ local branches help disabled people live the lives they choose. Our network of skilled volunteers respond to thousands of requests each year to design and make customised equipment free of charge.

As your local Chair or Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in making sure your local branch works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct, and support other branch volunteers to make sure your branch’s activities meet the needs of your local disabled community.

You’ll bring your leadership, communication, organisation, and motivational skills to this role.

What the role involves

This is a varied role where local need shapes what you’ll be working on, but it often includes:

•  Coordinating the activities of our local branch to undertake and meet the needs of  referrals in your area

• Coordinating and chairing the branch meetings

• Leading the branch’s shared responsibility for planning and completing referrals

• Coordinating the recruitment, induction, and ongoing support of new local branch volunteers

• Working with your Treasurer or Finance Officer to approve branch accounts

• Ensuring the branch’s activities comply with policies to keep people safe

• Regularly communicate and act as a key contact between staff and volunteers

What you’ll need for this role

Essential

• Confident in leading and chairing a meeting

The Discord Moderator supports the safe, welcoming, and positive running of a Discord community. Moderators help guide discussions, uphold community guidelines, support members, and assist with the smooth day-to-day operation of the server. This role helps create an inclusive environment where members feel comfortable participating and engaging with others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Discord channels to ensure conversations remain respectful, safe, and aligned with community guidelines.

• Respond to member questions and provide general support or signposting to appropriate resources or channels.

• Welcome new members and help them understand server rules, structure, and available resources.

• Address inappropriate behaviour by following moderation procedures, which may include issuing reminders, warnings, or escalating concerns to senior staff or lead moderators.

• Help de-escalate conflicts and maintain a positive and supportive community atmosphere.

• Support community engagement by encouraging discussion, highlighting useful content, or helping to facilitate events or activities where appropriate.

• Report safeguarding, wellbeing, or rule concerns to the appropriate team member.

• Assist with general server upkeep, such as managing channels, roles, or pinned information where required.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm, fair, and professional when managing disagreements or sensitive situations.

• Good understanding of online community safety and respectful communication.

• Confidence using Discord, including moderation tools and features (or willingness to learn).

• Ability to follow community guidelines, policies, and confidentiality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend scheduled video peer support group sessions alongside a lead peer supporter.

• Support the facilitation of group discussions by encouraging participation and helping conversations flow naturally.

• Help create a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants feel safe to share.

• Offer empathetic peer support and appropriate contributions based on lived experience, where relevant.

• Provide light technical support during sessions where needed (for example, helping participants with audio, video, or platform features).

• Support group structure by helping to keep discussions aligned with the session topic and time boundaries.

• Raise any wellbeing, safeguarding, or technical concerns to the lead peer supporter or staff member as appropriate.

What We Are Looking For:

• Good listening and communication skills.

• A calm, supportive, and non-judgemental approach.

• Confidence using video meeting platforms (such as Zoom/Google Meet or similar), or willingness to learn.

• An interest in supporting Autistic parents .

• Lived experience of being an Autistic Parent .

• Reliability and ability to work collaboratively with a lead peer supporter.

Support and Matching:
You will be supported by a lead peer supporter during sessions, with training, guidance, and ongoing support provided. We aim to match volunteers with group topics that align with their interests and experiences wherever possible. Groups include EHCP's and Working with professionals, Parenting Teens, 0-5's. We are particularly keen to hear from people who would be able to support a group for those who identify as "Dad's and Father's"

This is a flexible, remote volunteering opportunity. Volunteers are asked to attend agreed video sessions, with regular or occasional commitment discussed in advance. Expected time commitment 1-2 hours a month.

Full training and support will be given. Regular oppourtunities for reflection with our Volunteer Coordinator 

Alex, The Leukodystrophy Charity (Alex TLC) is a small, independent rare disease charity competing for essential resources within an extremely competitive arena.

Like many other small charities, we have grown organically from an informal support group to the recognised voice for leukodystrophy patients and their families. In order to fulfil our charitable objectives we need to increase and sustain our corporate income levels.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for volunteers, preferably with corporate fundraising experience to:

• research the corporate giving landscape and the interests of potential donors

• identify potential corporate donors and partners whose corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals align with our mission and values

• approach local and national businesses in person and over the telephone to inform them of the work of Alex TLC

• keep a record of all approaches

Our Talk and Support team is setting up a weekly Monday morning group for people who are interested in art. In the role of facilitator, you will:

• Facilitate group discussion eg by sharing work in progress, exhibitions visited or interesting art discussions on podcasts;
• Help participants feel comfortable and able to join in group discussions;
• Look after participant welfare within the group and flag any welfare or safeguarding concerns with the Talk and Support team for follow up.
