Children With Voices is a grassroots children's charity with over 25 years of experience supporting children and families across London. Based at Fawcett Estate Community Hall in Clapton, Hackney, we run a Community Food Hub, alternative education, SEN support, and community programmes including Jumping Beans. ABOUT THIS ROLE
Behind every programme we run and every family we support, there is careful administration keeping everything in order. We are looking for a Volunteer Admin Coordinator to be that backbone — someone who takes ownership of the detail, keeps our systems running, and makes sure the rest of the team can focus on delivery.
This is an ideal role for someone who is highly organised, discreet, and takes real pride in getting things right.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-Day Administration
• Manage correspondence, scheduling, and general administrative tasks across the organisation
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems in line with GDPR and data protection requirements
• Support the preparation of reports, meeting notes, and key organisational documents
Operational Support
• Support the Operations Manager with administrative aspects of HR, finance, and governance
• Help coordinate onboarding for volunteers and new team members
• Track outputs, attendance, and impact data for monitoring and evaluation
Communications & Coordination
• Act as the first point of contact for internal queries — directing people quickly and clearly
• Maintain shared systems and tools so information is easy to find and act on
• Support communication between teams, leadership, and external partners
Governance & Compliance Support
• Help prepare materials for Trustee and leadership meetings
• Support safeguarding admin — DBS checks, consent forms, and record keeping
• Flag gaps in processes and help develop simple, workable solutions

SV 2 has been supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse since 1994, and today provides a range of services to anyone in Derbyshire and Derby City who has experienced sexual abuse, assault or violence, including their friends and family members. We support people irrespective of age, gender or when the abuse occurred.
We are looking to recruit a team of events volunteers to help raise awareness of SV2 services at external events, celebrations and various festivals across Derbyshire.
Requirements: You must be over the age of 18 along with having great communication and interpersonal skills. You must be flexible and willing to volunteer at various locations including outside events on a rota basis with the expectation of approximately 1-2 events per month (travel expenses will be covered).
You must be enthusiastic about raising awareness of sexual abuse. You will also need access to a car with business insurance which can be used to transport marketing material such as banners and leaflets to events for this role.

Responsibilities: You will be working with a small team of volunteers to provide a visible presence in order to promote SV2 services and raise aware of sexual abuse at various events within the county. AFRIL’s Allotment of Refuge is an integrated group of growers and gardeners both with and without lived experience of migration. A unique opportunity to teach prison inmates sewing and designing skills while encouraging their own creativity.
Help engender greater self-belief and enhance potential employability upon release.
We will be using surplus fabric from the textile trade which would otherwise go into landfill.
This is not seen as a commercial enterprise so any profit made from selling marketable products would be invested in prisoner welfare.
We are recruiting a team of volunteers to teach cutting and machine-sewing skills in Pentonville prison, with inmates vetted for this project and with strictly applied safeguarding in place. MA students from Saint Martins Arts University, under the auspices of Professor Lorraine Gamman’s ‘Design Against Crime’ project will also be contributing time and creative input.
Ideally we foresee volunteers and inmates exchanging and developing ideas together in a supportive and creative space.
Volunteers will be asked to commit for at least six months to a minimum of 3-4 hours a week and would in a typical session together with at least one other volunteer be working with up to five learners. A one-session training on working in a prison will be provided.
To teach prison inmates sewing and design skills for both personal self-esteem and potential use after release.

We are looking for someone keen to move into the area of advising small charities on management and governance issues.
We are a very ambitious local grant-making charity that also offers various training, support and consultancy services to small charities and community groups in West London. Our broad-ranging plans are now beginning to bear fruit and so we need volunteers to help us in the following areas as demand for our services continues to grow:
· Supporting small groups and start-ups with basic governance and management issues
· Assessing the impact of our services on groups
· Outreach to new groups
· Possibly helping out with grant application assessments when needed
Our ideal candidate would have a good all-round background in management, consultancy or organisational professional services gained over a number of years, but they need not be experienced in the areas mentioned above. You'd be given full training, with the opportunity to shadow the people already working in these areas. Far more important is adaptability, initiative, an ability to get on well with people from all sorts of backgrounds, and good organisational and writing skills. Most crucially you would have a demonstrable commitment to our ideals of promoting a strong and influential civil society in West London. You will thrive on challenges and find rewards in seeing our objectives achieved.
You would ideally be able to commit an average of 1 day a week and the work would involve dealing with our groups during office hours, so you will probably be someone who is working part-time, or is perhaps retired or semi-retired, or is otherwise not in full-time employment.
Much of the work would be taking place from home, but it will also involve some face to face contact with clients, so living in or around the Ealing, Hounslow or Hillingdon boroughs would be an advantage.
