Behçet’s Disease is an auto-immune disorder which is incurable but can be managed by specialist consultants. It is very rare and can affect any part of the body. It often takes years to diagnose and can be debilitating to the patient.
Behçet’s Patients Centres (BPC), a charitable company, was formed in 2011 to provide the specialist, multi disciplinary care for patients.
We are seeking to recruit a Finance Director to our Board in order to both increase our experience and skills base and to facilitate effective succession management. This is a volunteer role that offers rewarding experience and the chance to make a difference in the lives of those who are affected by this rare condition.
This is a highly autonomous role that will make a big difference to the Board of Directors and their purpose to provide a service to one of the rarest patient groups in England. We’re looking for someone who can come in and help us build on our achievements and do things even better. You will be responsible for the financial management of the charitable company to ensure we successfully deliver our contractual commitments and thus influence the future of our funding, (we have a contract which runs until March 2028). You will play an important role as a member of the Board of Directors, ensuring they are guided by your financial expertise. This will involve preparing budgets; paying salaries and finances owing to HMRC and invoicing the NHS. We also work collaboratively with Behçet’s UK, the registered charity for patients with Behçet’s Disease and you’ll be building relationships with that charity.
The time commitment for this role is around 2 to 3 days per month on average, with extra time needed around budgeting and year end accounts.

Sex Education Forum is the national voice of relationships and sex education (RSE) in England, with youth involvement at the heart of everything we do. Having launched our new strategy for 2026-30 we now have an incredible opportunity to join our Board and help achieve our plans! .
This is a pivotal moment for our organisation and for the sector. Universal RSE provision in schools is entering a new phase under updated statutory guidance. Over the next five years our work will be focused on four pillars: convening the sector, communicating about RSE, equipping educators and innovating to address gaps. Our plans involve advocating for RSE beyond school and equipping trusted adults in supporting children and young people, particularly those who are marginalised, with high quality, inclusive RSE.
Being a trustee is a voluntary role open to anyone of 18+ years old. Trustees play a vital role in helping us grow sustainably and increasing our impact. We’re particularly keen to hear from people with expertise in:
• Fundraising and business development
• Working with marginalised, minoritised and racialised groups
• Digital and IT / CRM systems
Previous trustee experience is not essential. If you are committed to inclusive, evidence-based RSE for all children and young people this could be for you!

95% of motherless mothers feel isolated. 85% say pregnancy or early motherhood reopened their grief. 80% are experiencing mental health difficulties such as anxiety or depression. This is why The Motherless Mothers exists. Motherless mothers often feel unseen, misunderstood, and unsupported. But we're here to change that. Our mission is to provide the support and representation that every motherless mother needs when they need it most. Because this experience deserves recognition, research, support and language.
What we're looking for
A fundraising professional with experience, passion and drive to grow this movement. In just under two years, we've made huge waves to take this experience out of the shadows and to give it a voice. From speaking in UK parliament, huge collaborations with reputable brands like Peanut and cardfactory, inaugural research into the mental health repercussions women without a mum face, and research to embed pathways of care that see motherless mothers first into NHS maternal mental health systems and workplaces.
We need someone to take our fundraising efforts to the next level to allow us to do more. We have so many ideas, and would love someone with a creative, fresh and skilled approach to join our team of fabulous women who are wanting to make this experience more understood and heard.
