Flourish Wellbeing Support is a Not-for-Profit bridging the gap between overstretched NHS services and high-cost private care. We are looking for qualified volunteer counsellors to join our remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver our suggested 4x weekly 1-to-1 online counselling sessions to clients who cannot afford private fees but face long waitlists.
• Work within a structured 15-session clinical model to provide meaningful, short-term support.
• Manage your own digital diary and caseload via our integrated, paperless counselling technology (handling bookings, notes, and encrypted video).
• Engage with a monthly peer supervision group (4 people) to share clinical insights and maintain standards.
• Our service is open from 8am to 8pm from Monday to Friday. Our counsellors can choose to work during any of these times. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for counsellors who believe that mental health support should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their income.

1. Professional Qualification & Registration 

The most important requirement is that you are a fully qualified, registered counsellor or psychotherapist (holding a Diploma or Degree in Counselling/Psychotherapy). You must hold current membership with a recognised professional body such as the BACP, UKCP, or NCS (Accredited). 

We will also require an enhanced DBS (or we can carry one out for you) and two professional references.

2. Clinical Experience with Complexity

Our ideal volunteer is a practitioner comfortable with a wide range of clinical presentations. We are looking for individuals who have experience in safely holding:

• Trauma
• Bereavement and Complex Grief
• Long-term Depression and Anxiety Experience in working within a short-term, structured framework (such as our 15-session model) is highly beneficial, as is the ability to conduct clinical assessments and manage risk within a remote setting.

3. Technical Literacy & Remote Readiness

As a 100% online service, our ideal volunteer is comfortable using (or learning) integrated counselling platforms for encrypted video sessions, digital note-taking, and diary management. You will need a private, confidential space to work from and a reliable internet connection to ensure the safety and continuity of the therapeutic relationship.

4. Professional Autonomy & Reliability

Because we offer sessions anytime between 8am to 8pm from Monday to Friday, you can work across any of these hours and will be responsible for managing your own schedule and ensuring consistency for your clients.

The Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland is recruiting new members to the RCGP Scottish Patient Forum.

From feeding into policy consultations, to assisting with the development of College communications and campaigns, members of the RCGP Scottish Patient Forum play a key role in helping to shape the work of the College in Scotland.

This is a voluntary role for a term of up to three years.

· Take part in up to three online Forum meetings per year, offering your insights and lived experience.

The Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland (RCGP Scotland) is the professional membership organisation for general practitioners in Scotland. The Coroners' Courts Support Service (CCSS) is a registered Charity whose trained volunteers give emotional and practical support to bereaved families and other witnesses attending an inquest.

We need volunteers to provide emotional support and practical help to bereaved families, witnesses and others attending Inquests at Coroners' Court. Our volunteers at court also provide help and assistance to the Coroners' Officers, as and when required.

We are looking for reliable, supportive people with excellent communication skills. A mature and calm attitude is needed in order to be able to talk to people during a sometimes bewildering and emotional experience. Volunteers must be willing to undergo a period of observations and shadowing, as well as attend a 3 day training course. A minimum of 2 court days per month attendance requiured. Training and mentoring is provided and travel expenses to the court are reimbursed.

New volunteers should possess good communication and listening skills and the ability to empathise with people they support.

We are looking for a creative and reliable volunteer to join our Social Media Team, helping us share our work and increase awareness through engaging content.

This role focuses on creating Reels and social media content using Canva and instagram editor tools using existing charity materials. You don’t need to be an expert, however some experience and knowldege of social media communications is ideal. Guidance will be given as you develop your skills.

Working Style

You’ll be joining a small, friendly and active team. Content is planned in advance, with a relaxed monthly Zoom catch-up for planning and ongoing communication via WhatsApp for day-to-day support.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging Reels and posts using Canva (Charity account access provided)

• Use existing photos, videos, and content provided by the charity

• Share adoption posts accross facebook and other platforms to help our dogs find homes

• Help maintain consistency across our channels

Voice 21 is the national oracy education charity. We support schools to build speaking and listening into the curriculum, teaching, learning and wider school life so that every child can use their voice to thrive in school, work and life. Our training and development programmes for teachers and school leaders transform learning through talk, expanding access to high-quality oracy education, particularly for children who need it most.

The Role: Trustee with fundraising expertise

Voice 21 is keen to strengthen its board-level knowledge and skills by adding a fundraising specialist trustee. We are looking to appoint a strategic fundraising leader who has substantial experience of successfully developing fundraising departments and growing voluntary income. As trustee, you will provide strategic oversight, constructive challenge and advice on fundraising strategy.

Ideally your career will have focused on high value and relationship fundraising (philanthropy, trusts, corporate partnerships). As a subject specialist, you will help to expand and deepen fellow trustees’ understanding of fundraising strategy and operations, providing knowledge, guidance, challenge and advocacy.

Your expertise will be invaluable at this pivotal moment for Voice 21, as the charity prepares to launch an ambitious new strategy, with a goal to double fundraised income by 2030. Your insights will be particularly appreciated by the experienced Head of Fundraising, CEO and Director of Operations – including contributing critical/analytic skills to help evaluate fundraising ideas and opportunities – though your primary focus will be advising on fundraising at governance level.

Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline is a registered charity led by a Board of Trustees.

Action Tutoring is a national education charity that offers free maths and English tutoring to pupils facing disadvantage. 

By volunteering as a tutor at a local school or online, you'll be supporting children to build their confidence and help ensure they leave school with the grades needed to build a bright future.

What will I be doing?

• Tutoring 1-3 pupils in Year 5 or 6, or Year 7, 10 or 11.

The roles we offer are deeply rewarding and may challenge you in new ways. We ask for a minimum commitment of just 3 hours per week, but you’re welcome to volunteer for more if you’d like. Whether you're looking to give back to your community, learn something new, or simply enjoy connecting with others, we’d love to have you on board! 

Support Session Volunteer

You’ll be supporting people over the age of 18 with disabilities, this may include those with poor mental health, learning difficulties, autism and other disabilities.  Your role will include supporting clients to understand and undertake a task on a one-to-one basis.  The task will vary from client to client as will the needs of the individual. 

As a support session volunteer, you might: 

• help people have their say when it matters most
• Helping individuals navigate challenges and ensuring their needs are met
• help people to make complaints and use local services 

All volunteering will take place Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00.  You will need to be over 18 years old and be living in the UK. Please note that there is no opportunity to volunteer at weekends or in the evening.

Can you help us to raise awareness of bowel cancer symptoms across your local area?

Become a Bowel Cancer Awareness Champion and use your voice in the community, in-person or virtually, to make sure everyone knows how to spot the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer. This will help make sure more people can spot the signs sooner and so get a diagnosis at the earliest possible stage when the disease is more treatable and curable.

Take part from the comfort of your own home, using your social media to share our specifically curated social media graphics and videos in your community by reaching out to local businesses, community notice boards and places of worship to display our posters, or at your workplace by sharing information through your staff newsletters, our leaflets, or by putting our symptoms posters up in your staff toilets.

No long-term commitment is required — just a little bit of your time and your local knowledge! We'll provide you with everything you need to get you started including our toolkit and handy guide, as well as support from our dedicated volunteering team.

However you choose to take part, you’ll be helping your local community by making them aware of the symptoms of bowel cancer and where to find out more about what to do about them.

Alfie Boe Concerts – Volunteer Collectors

We are delighted to be supported by our Patron, Alfie Boe, during his upcoming 2026 Tour. We will be collecting donations at all of Alfie Boe’s concert dates and are looking for volunteers to join us and help manage those collections at their local venue.

Timings are roughly 5pm – 10.30pm. Please note: This volunteer opportunity does not include tickets to watch the show.

Roles, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collecting donations before the show, after the show, and during the interval via collection buckets and handheld contactless devices
• Represent Brain Tumour Research and make a real contribution to Brain Tumour Research and our much needed more
• All volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt and collection buckets
