Our vision is to help build communities that save lives and serve each other through volunteering for health and first aid.

Job Purpose:

Together Media is Learn Together CIC’s volunteer-led digital publication. We produce public-interest content covering news, social issues, community stories, politics and culture through videos, interviews, podcasts and short explainers.

Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading, through a network of volunteer groups. Read Easy groups are changing the lives of individual adults across the country by providing them with the support they need to learn to read, and in turn opening doors for them to all sorts of new opportunities in life. 

Outline of the Publicity Organiser role
You will be helping your local community understand what a Read Easy group does; how local people can get the reading support they need; and how volunteers can help. There are two distinct forms of publicity, one requiring raising awareness by giving talks, putting up posters and talking to people generally about Read Easy. The second is using social media effectively to raise awareness and publicise your group. This roleis commonly supported by other members of 
the team, with specific skills to offer.

How we will support you 
You will be provided with the Management Team Handbook, policies, training/induction and guidance specifically needed for this role, including access to support from a Read Easy UK Regional Adviser, via your Team Leader. You will also be invited to Read Easy UK’s regional and national forums which gives volunteers an opportunity for networking with those from other

Victory Afghanistan has grown enormously over the past year. We now support more than 1,800 Afghan girls and women through education, mentorship, higher education, internships and employment opportunities.

We are doing really well in developing these opportunities, but we have reached a bottleneck: we need funding to make more of them possible.

We are therefore looking for volunteers in the UK with any fundraising experience who might be willing to give us some of their time.

Because Victory Afghanistan is a US-registered 501(c)(3), we are not currently looking for people to write UK grant applications. Instead, we particularly need help with:

•  Approaching companies and their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) teams
• Developing corporate partnerships and sponsorship
•  Identifying and approaching potential donors
• Making connections with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists
•  Helping us build relationships with people and organisations that may be able to support our work
•  Supporting fundraising activities and events in the UK

We realise this is a big ask. We are completely volunteer-led and currently unfunded, but we have built something substantial and are now at the stage where funding could make an enormous practical difference.

We need money for laptops and internet connectivity, English language tests, support for students going to university, our Afghanistan-based team and the programmes that prepare our students for higher education and employment.
