Stepping Stones Learning and Leisure is a small, friendly charity based in Southwark, providing inclusive activities for adults with learning disabilities. We believe everyone should have the chance to express themselves, connect with others, and take part in activities that bring joy, confidence, and new skills.

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Social Club Volunteer to support our weekly Thursday sessions (10.30-12.30). We are based at St Faith’s Centre, Red Post Hill, SE24 9JQ (close to North Dulwich and Herne Hill stations) however this role requires the ability to travel to other locations in the borough of Southwark. We're currently visiting Herne Hill Velodrome with Wheels For Wellbeing and we are looking for people who would be willing to participate alongside our learners.

About The Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with others. In Social Club you’ll support our tutor in encouraging learners to participate in a variety of fun activities which aim to nurture the supportive relationships between our learners and enhance their wellbeing, joy and sense of belonging.

As a Social Club Volunteer at Stepping Stones, you will:

• Assist the tutor in providing fun and stimulating activities
• Play a part in ensuring the health and safety of learners when offsite
• Offer 1:1 or group support where needed to help participants engage

We’re building something meaningful from the ground up, and we’re looking for a small group of committed volunteers to help shape our foundation.

The Steering Group is a temporary leadership team (6–12 months) that will guide the early development of MINDSET before we formally register as a charity and appoint Trustees.

With your help, we aim to provide our learners with a sense of pride and satisfaction at having made something delicious, whilst learning invaluable skills along the way.

As a Cook and Eat Volunteer at Stepping Stones, you will:

• Maintain high standards of hygiene

Women on the Frontline Ministries (WOFM) is a registered charity supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual exploitation through street-based prostitution, trafficking and other vulnerabilities. We offer outreach, a weekly drop-in, casework and relationship-based support to women who are too often neglected and stigmatised. We are looking for an experienced, motivated volunteer fundraiser to help us grow our income, raise awareness of the women we serve, and make sure this work can continue.

WOFM exists to bring dignity, safety and hope to vulnerable and exploited women in East London. Our work is practical and relational: meeting women where they are, building trust over time, and walking with them towards a more stable future. The role

As our Volunteer Fundraiser, you will help shape and deliver our fundraising strategy and turn it into real income. You will be a key part of securing the resources that sustain and grow our frontline support for women. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both planning and doing — and who wants their skills to count for something that matters.

What you'll do

• Help develop and deliver WOFM’s fundraising strategy and annual income goals.

• Research and identify funding opportunities — grants, trusts, foundations, corporate partners and community giving.

• Support the writing and submission of compelling funding applications and proposals.

• Help plan and run fundraising initiatives, appeals and awareness campaigns.

• Build and nurture relationships with donors, supporters and local partners.

• Help raise the profile of WOFM and the plight of the women we serve.

The Vacancy

This voluntary role offers an opportunity to help ensure that Methodist investments are in line with our values and shape a more just world.  As a member of the Joint Advisory Committee on the Ethics of Investment (JACEI), you would help advise the Central Finance Board, the body with legal responsibility for investment, on ethical issues, for example around climate, conflict, children, human rights or AI. 

Time Commitment

The time commitment is approximately 3 - 4 days each year, to include: preparation for and presence at JACEI committee meetings which take place four times a year, usually from 12.30pm - 3.30pm, and can be on zoom or in person at Methodist Church House, as well as other meetings, reading or correspondence as appropriate.

About You

We are looking for an experienced, committed person who has transferable skills.  This individual will:

• Be a member in good standing of the Methodist Church in Britain
• Be able to bring expertise or experience to the work of the committee.  This may be in ethics, business or theology, or in one of the areas of concern to the committee, for example human rights, climate or AI.  Such understanding may be gained through academic study, professional practice, voluntary activity, or lived experience.
• Be able to absorb details and think strategically
• Be curious and committed to ethical investment

About the Role:

CARAS is looking for volunteer Football Assistants to support our Football sessions on Mondays, 5.30-7pm in Balham.

Football coaching sessions are led by Fulham FC Kicks programme weekly, supported by CARAS volunteers to offer welcome to young people.

Volunteer tasks and responsibilities

· Welcoming young people to the session;

· Helping young people to register for sessions;

· Join in and be role model for young refugees and asylum seekers;

· Assisting participants to recognise and celebrate their achievements;

· Following FULHAM FC safeguarding policy and CARAS’ confidentiality, safeguarding, health & safety, equal opportunities, data management, online communications and all other policies as relevant.

Requirements:

Essential

· To be 18 years or older;

· To be non-judgemental and able to engage with people from diverse cultural backgrounds;

· To be reliable and punctual;

· Excellent communication skills, especially with people with varying levels of English;

· The ability to volunteer on Monday evenings for a minimum of four months;

· Currently resident in the UK;

MumsAid is an award-winning charity providing specialist mental health and wellbeing support for mothers during pregnancy and early motherhood. Purpose of Role 

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Digital Content and Social Media Volunteer to support MumsAid's marketing and communications activities. 

Working closely with our Marketing & Communications Lead, you'll help bring our stories, campaigns, events, and impact to life through engaging social media content. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating digital content, has an eye for design, and wants to use their skills to support a meaningful cause.

The opportunity

As an external Trustee, you will join a collaborative and ambitious Board responsible for the strategic direction, governance and long-term sustainability of the charity and its subsidiaries. Public sector system leadership: Current or former senior leaders from local government, the NHS or wider public services, with experience of leading complex organisations through change, reform and uncertainty.

Business model development and commercialisation: Experience of organisational growth, partnerships, income diversification, membership models, commercial strategy or sustainable business development.

Technology and innovation: Expertise in digital transformation, AI, innovation, product development, technology-enabled change or future-focused organisational leadership.

These areas reflect the Board’s agreed strategic priorities as LGIU continues to evolve its model, expand its reach and strengthen its role as a partner for change across the sector.

We would also welcome candidates with expertise in communications and marketing, workforce development, research, membership organisations or international collaboration.

Time commitment

This is a voluntary, unpaid role.

The expected commitment includes:

• Four quarterly online Board meetings each year

• One annual face-to-face strategy meeting or away day

• Reading and preparation time in advance of meetings

• Occasional participation in sub-committees or advisory discussions

About the role: 

This volunteer role involves providing information, support and advice, particularly around welfare benefits and housing to Carers through one-to-one case work.

Our Charity: 

We are a busy, ambitious charity operating at the heart of the Wandsworth community since 1995, helping thousands of people across the borough in unpaid Caring roles. We give information and advice, organise respite, offer complementary therapies, deliver training, provide peer support, arrange fun events and much more.In short, we are the Carer's friend and advocate, often helping Carers through difficult times.

As the successful candidate, you will have experience of working in front line services, giving information and advice, as well as advocating on behalf of another and providing one to one support. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, and a commitment to working in the voluntary sector.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Deliver one – to – one appointments regarding benefits 

• Deliver telephone appointments where required 

• Assist Carers to complete welfare benefit forms such as; Attendance allowance, Disability living allowance or universal credit and personal independence payment

• To refer or signpost Carers to specialist staff or services where required 

• Provide information to newly registered Carers about WCC services 

• Maintain up to date database records for Carers linked with the Centre 

• Maintain the information system under the guidance of the Centre staff 

Essential Requirements Include: 

• Experience of, or ability to provide one to one support, information, advice and advocacy, including welfare benefits. 

• Developed IT skills 

• Ability and commitment to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

• Confident and polite telephone manner

What you’ll be doing

Taking calls from parents and carers at the end of their tether, offering a kind ear, non-judgemental support, and safe, practical guidance - all from the comfort of your own home, in your own time.

We’re looking for people who

• Are warm, empathetic listeners who can help someone feel heard.
• Can volunteer their time, at times that suit their schedule.
• Are committed to supporting families without judgement.

Maybe you have direct experience of a baby that just won’t stop crying, maybe you have seen how it impacted someone close to you. 

Above all we need you to care, to be understanding, and to be patient.
