Students4Students is a member led national organisation which has c.100 members split across 4 branches. As a CIO it has a duty to engage with members and provide members the opportunity to elect trustees and hold the leadership to account for decisions at an AGM. Historically these AGMs have been ill attended and election of Trustees have been decided by a small number of members who hold branch committee positions. Students4Students wants to improve the level of participation in our internal democracy and ensure that AGMs are appealing and relevant to all members.
The organisation also wants to increase engagement with its members, all year round, outside of the AGM. Students4Students is looking to build new channels of engaging with members, ensuring trustees and leadership are held to account throughout the year.
Responsibilities and duties
The post-holder will be responsible for engaging members in Students4Students internal democracy and ensuring the organisation meets its responsibilities as a CIO
• Organising the AGM
• Improving engagement in Students4Students internal democracy
• Improving engagement with the organisation’s members
• Improving dialogue between Trustees and members
• Promoting members interests within the organisation
Time commitment
• Throughout the year – We expect the post holder to commit to an average of 2 hours per week
• Our AGM is traditionally held in January so we expect the run up period to this to be busier
Key requirements

Students4Students is a member led charity, that has been operating for seven years, with c.100 current members across our four branches. As a member led organisation, we invest heavily in involving our volunteers in our decision-making processes and building a sense of community.
However, our volunteer base is predominantly students and is therefore by nature continually changing. This makes it more difficult for us to foster long term relationships with our volunteers. We have therefore recently established an alumni network to extend the reach of our community. We are looking for someone to help us grow our alumni network and build deeper connections with those in the network.
Responsibilities and duties
The post-holder will be responsible for:
• Owning and managing the processes for how S4S interacts with existing members of our alumni network and increasing membership.
• Working with our community and events lead to create engaging events for alumni and current members.
• Design and execute a multi-year alumni network strategy.
Time commitment
• Throughout the year – We expect the post holder to commit to an average of 1-2 hours per week

Main duties and responsibilities
- Lead on a new operations subcommittee to build a sustainable café diversifying our income Action planning, piloting and market research
- Customer development,research and building rapport
- Developing networks in the hospitality sector to provide opportunities for Café clients to seek experience and positions after the training programme
- Plan opportunities to diversify and capacity build Plateful Café’s income strategy by identifying new venues for pop-ups,promoting catering and identify new stockists to sell our products
- Overseeing activity on the online shop and selling points e.g. markets, local shops, events
- Overseeing the new supper club

Do you live in Wales and want to gain valuable skills, have new experiences, and support vulnerable people?
We are offering 1 young person aged 18-25 the opportunity to volunteer for up to 11 months with the French Red Cross in Lille. The programme will run from September 2024 – August 2025.
You will be working on a range of projects, which will give you the chance to explore the different kinds of social action that the French Red Cross undertake in Lille. The French Red Cross operates a project called “Mobile support programme for migrants” (DMSE) along the shores of northern France. This programme aims to “go towards” migrants and provide them support directly in the makeshift camps. The project offers three main services: access to care, maintaining and restoring family links and supporting unaccompanied children. The successful volunteer will likely spend 2 days a week in the field supporting migrants, 1 day in the office providing administrative and logistical support and 1 day will be dedicated to their individual Element project, a chance for the volunteer to develop their own project or cultural exchange activity. The remaining day will be treated flexibly and could see the successful volunteer supporting the French Red Cross on their other projects such as helping the FRC in launching first aid training for migrants.
Please note that only young people based in Wales can apply for this role. We are especially interested in applications from those who are from low socio-economic backgrounds, are carers or are care experienced, have accessed free school meals, are refugees or asylum seekers and those with disabilities or additional needs.

The Swedish Red Cross Youth is excited to welcome two volunteers in collaboration with British Red Cross this fall. What will you be doing?
You should be an experienced and talented video editor/content creator.

The editor will
- Create short intro and ending animations/transitions for the festival's SM and screenings

- You would need to have your own professional equipment and software and a camera and lights (if you are also a videographer - preferred, not mandatory)

We are looking for a Program Coordinator for our Adult Education Program based in Ioannina, for a minimum commitment of 6 months.
In this role, you’ll be coordinating the implementation of language classes and associated tasks at two refugee camps: Katsikas and Agia Eleni.
The majority of the students are from Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The sites have two to four English classes each day, which are differentiated by English ability from A0 to A2.
Role description
You will…
- Coordinate and manage daily operations of the adult education program
- Develop the program in coordination with the Programs Manager
- Assess impact and effectiveness against program objectives
- Ensure that teachers are equipped with the necessary knowledge to complete their administrative tasks to a high standard and in a timely fashion
- Conduct regular class observations, providing teachers with quality feedback on their teaching
- Provide new teachers with key insights into language teaching in the refugee context
- Ensure inductions to and exits from the education team are smooth and effective, including successful handover of classes between teachers
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent Second Tree in relevant external meetings
- Capture and compile monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) reports in line with program deadlines
- Ensure overall management of the program, guaranteeing quality and relevance
Skills
You have…
- University Degree in Education/Teaching
- Certificate in English language teaching (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA or equivalent)
- Experience in developing and delivering teacher training
