Purpose of the role

To conduct research and apply for grants and funding that Rebuilding Lives UK are eligible for.  To contribute to fundraising strategies and share and implement fundraising ideas.

What you will be doing

We are looking for fundraiser volunteers to join our team to: 

• Lead research for grants and funding that the charity is eligible for.
• Prepare information about grants, trusts and foundations, advising the CEO and Trustees of the requirements for the applications, the deadlines being worked towards and the final outcomes.
• Write and tailor content for grant applications as required.
• Support with the grant application process and build relationships with trusts and other stakeholders.
• Share ideas for fundraising.

Schools Triathlon Event Volunteer

Join Team Restless for the most exciting event in the school calendar by becoming a volunteer at the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon.

Every year, over 8,000 young triathletes take part in the Schools Triathlons and raise over £1 million for Restless Development and 100s of different charities chosen by participating schools. It’s the UK’s largest sports fundraising event for children aged between 7-13 years old.

What will you do?

You’ll be welcomed as part of the Restless team and help us to make sure the day is a huge success for everyone involved! Roles could include;

• Meeting and greeting all the athletes

• Stewarding participants around the courses

• Course support marshals 

• Car Park marshals 

• Finish Line to hand out medals and congratulate our finishers

Duration of Volunteering 

We have volunteer shifts available;

• Full day - 07:30-17:30 

• Half a day (Morning) - 07:30-13:00 

• Half a day (Afternoon) - 12:30-17:30

Please note that these timings are an approximation so please allow for some flexibility on the day.

Discovery Catering Volunteer Wanted

We are looking for a volunteer to help support us during our monthly pop-up cafes. 

The role is a great opportunity for someone with a love of cooking to share their skills and/or learn more about vegetarian and vegan cooking.

As a volunteer for bemix you are also part of our wider social movement, working to achieve equality for people with learning difficulties and/or autism.

Role and responsibilities

Main aim:   To support the group members prepare and serve vegetarian and vegan meals, including greeting customers and taking payment for meals at our monthly pop-up cafe.

Location: Westgate Hall, Canterbury City Centre. 

Salary: This position is unpaid.

Expenses:   Reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed. Please let us know details about where you will be travelling from and how much this will cost, when you apply. 

Hours: Between 4 to 6 hours per month. 10am – 2pm / 4pm.  Working with the Discovery Catering team one day each month, on a Tuesday.

Start date and Duration: To start as soon as possible, once DBS and References have been received and continue on an ongoing basis subject to regular reviews.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

The Baca Charity is currently looking for Trustees with expertise in at least one of the following areas: 

• Property /social housing expertise including an understanding of housing law, regulations and property market/trends.
• Education – access to education, apprenticeship, progression to FE or HE education to facilitate development of opportunities to support vulnerable people towards employment / entrepreneurship. Safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
• Relational Fundraising and Financial Governance.

LEVEL OF COMMITMENT 

All trustees are required to attend quarterly evening and one full day Board meetings.  Board meetings usually take place at the Baca main office, Loughborough, Leicestershire. As appropriate, meetings could also take place virtually.

In addition to reading papers and preparing for meetings/conference calls, Trustees may be called upon for specific advice if they have particular expertise in a given area. 

According to their individual skills and experience, Trustees may also be invited to serve on Baca’s Finance or Staff & Young People Wellbeing Committees or on ad-hoc Working Groups. Committees meet quarterly, usually in advance of Board meetings.

Overview: As a Volunteer Senior Fundraiser for our women's menstrual health charity in Malawi, dedicated to ending period poverty, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to improve access to menstrual health products, education, and support for women and girls in Malawi. GRANT FINDER

• Research and identify grant opportunities that align with our organization’s mission and goals; maintain a comprehensive understanding of the grant landscape, including federal, state, local, and private funding sources; develop strategies to secure funding from various grant programs; prepare and submit grant applications in a timely manner; collaborate with team members to gather necessary information for grant applications; and, monitor and manage grant applications, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Our english program for native childrens takes place in marginalized communities in the Central Andes of the Central Andes of Peru giving these children the opportunity to gain basic English skills that can help in their future education and increase your employability, as well as being open to more general knowledge.

one of our objectives is to teach this language, especially to children, as a means of self-improvement and education, since they lack the financial resources necessary to learn English.

This program will provide the opportunity for many children from populations that live in extreme poverty and will not have the opportunity to study in a private school, we develop classes from basic pronunciation materials, sentences, colors, communication, verbs and other important subjects. In addition, it is a way to improve the level of Spanish that the volunteer has, due to the continuous interaction of languages, all of this developed in a direct, entertaining and fun way.
