• Our structured mentoring programme supports 8-11 year old's, based across London, to support with their social and emotional development before they transition into secondary school.
• As a mentor, you will hold weekly one on one sessions of 1 -3 hours. You will help to build confidence, resilience and help your mentee to manage feelings through a series of fun and positive experiences and activities.
• The weekly sessions can be flexible between weekdays and weekends.
• You will also get to meet fellow adults in your community through our peer network.
• All volunteers will go benefit from two days of in-person  where you'll gain skills and knowledge to support you as a mentor. (Many mentors share that the skills developed support their progression in the workplace, especially those seeking to gain experience working with children and young people)

What impact will this have?

• Help build resilience and confidence in a child in your local community.
• Learn from fellow mentors with our amazing peer network.
• Help a child as they transition from primary to secondary school.

Getting the right support at the right time can make a world of difference as people try to navigate their way through their grief.

In the challenging times that follow the death of a patient, we support families, friends and relatives as they cope with their loss. Providing volunteers who will spend time with those who are grieving is an invaluable service that we feel privileged to offer to our community.This support is given in many ways, via face to face meetings (usually in the hospice or occasionally home visits) or by telephone or video call (e.g. Zoom). As a Bereavement Support Volunteer, you will have regular one to one support sessions with individual clients, keep an online record of those sessions and write a closing summary.

You will be required to complete a 12-week in-house training programme starting on Monday 16 September and then held every Monday for approx 9.30am-4pm.

Are you a qualified Yoga Instructor who would enjoy facilitating weekly sessions to help individuals with their general well-being. This is an opportunity for you to share techniques with others.

Practicing yoga has been shown to increase mindfulness not just in class session, but in other areas of a person's life.

What you will be doing

• Design session plans enabling all group members to increase fitness, suppleness and help them relax
• Teach the group yoga postures and breathing techniques which allow a range of mixed ages and abilities to participate
• Inspire and motivate people to attend and get involved in the group activities where possible and encourage the group to help design future sessions
• Keep a record of attendees, provide feedback and report any concerns to the staff team

The skills you need

• Skilled and qualified Yoga Instructor
• Good communication skills
• Ability to provide a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and participation

This opportunity will provide vital support for children who do not otherwise have the help that they need in a supervised environment out of school hours.

What you will be doing

• Plan and facilitate one to one as well as group homework sessions with the children
• Use a range of skills and tools to make the sessions interesting and engaging
• To keep records of conversations and update the support worker on progress of sessions

The skills you need

• Understanding of Domestic abuse and its impact on children and women
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with people from different backgrounds
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Calm and patient approach
• Tutoring qualification desirable but not essential

We are recruiting volunteers to coordinate sport and fitness activities to support children and families get active, have fun, wiggle, jiggle and move together. Exercising helps strengthens bones and muscles, supports with mental wellbeing, increase self-confidence, self-esteem, and provides opportunities for children to make new friends, try out new sports, activities and learn new skills.

• Understanding of Domestic abuse and its impact on children and women
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with people from different backgrounds
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Ability to provide a supportive, and inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and participation.
• Calm and patient approach
• Experience in Dance in either a professional, educational, or personal level. Experience in teaching dance desirable but not required.
