Job description

We’re looking for a support group volunteer, over the age of 18 years old for our Strood A2 group.

You will be volunteering at Montgomery Court, Choir Close, Rochester, Kent, ME3 8FP every Wednesday between 10.30am and 12.30pm

The volunteer will:

  • Lead or facilitate meetings with the volunteer team. Discuss the running of the group and make sure decisions are made collectively.
  • Buddy other volunteers.
  • Be the main point of contact with the Stroke Association.
  • Welcome speakers, new members and visitors
  • Do venue and outing risk assessments and health and safety checks.
  • Promote the group on social media and managing the group’s online presence (I.e. mini websites)
  • Set up online meetings by sharing information and joining links with members
  • Write grant applications
