Curans provides an AI-powered virtual patient simulator that enables medical students to master clinical reasoning, examination, and diagnosis in a safe, scalable environment.

Many medical students graduate with insufficient hands-on experience in clinical reasoning and patient communication. Traditional training involving real or simulated patients is often prohibitively expensive, time-restricted, and unavailable in low-resource settings. This gap forces students to rely on rote memorization rather than structured clinical thinking, leading to inconsistent feedback, increased patient safety risks, and systemic inequality in medical education quality (SDG 4).

Curans addresses this educational gap with an AI virtual patient simulation platform that allows learners to practice the entire clinical workflow—from taking history and performing virtual exams to ordering labs and planning management—within a risk-free digital space. The platform provides instant, data-driven feedback on clinical reasoning and communication, helping students refine their skills before they ever step into a real clinic. Designed to be scalable and accessible for both pre-clinical and clinical stages, Curans also equips instructors with tools to create custom cases and conduct OSCE-style assessments, ensuring that high-quality medical training is available to every future healthcare professional, regardless of their location or resources.

You will help us build strong investor lists, improve outreach, and focus on the opportunities that give us the best chance to grow.

What will you be doing?

As our Technical VR Advisor you'll act as a senior technical voice for the team, providing strategic technical guidance and sharing your experience rather than day-to-day management. Working alongside our Lead Developer and a motivated team of four software developers, you will have the opportunity to:

This role has two sides, and you might lean more towards one than the other:

Product and strategy guidance:

• Advise on hardware decisions, particularly our upcoming transition to standalone VR headsets
• Share knowledge of the VR landscape: tools, platforms, what's working in the industry to help us make smart choices with limited resources
• Help us think about user experience design for an educational audience aged 14–18

Technical and development guidance:

• Advise on software architecture, tooling, and development practices for our Unity/C# VR application
• Mentor volunteer developers, helping them think through technical problems and grow their skills
• Guide the team on performance optimisation and best practices
• Help flag technical risks or opportunities as our product evolves

Note: Strength in either area is valuable (both together is ideal). This is a flexible advisory role and you can shape your involvement around where your experience has the most impact.

What are we looking for?

• Solid knowledge of the VR/XR space
• Familiarity with the VR hardware landscape, particularly standalone headsets (e.g. Meta Quest)
• We'd ideally love someone with professional or substantial hands-on experience in VR, but if you've built that depth through research, teaching, or personal projects, we'd still love to hear from you
• Experience with Unity and/or C# is a bonus but not essential - product and strategic experience in VR is equally valuable
• An interest in mentoring or teaching
• Someone who can commit roughly 1–3 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale up occasionally
• Passion for education, equity in STEM, or making technology accessible to young people

Nice to have: experience with educational software, interactive design, or working with non-profit / volunteer teams.

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is seeking a Volunteer Clinical Therapy Lead to join our founding volunteer team. This role helps ensure that all emotional wellbeing and therapeutic support offered through the organisation is safe, ethical, culturally responsive, and aligned with our survivor-led mission.

As Clinical Therapy Lead, you will provide guidance and oversight for therapy and emotional support activities within the organisation. You will work closely with programme teams, facilitators and safeguarding leads to ensure support is trauma-informed, culturally aware, and responsive to the needs of survivors and community members.

This role combines professional clinical insight with practical collaboration to help build safe and supportive therapy systems for the community.

Experience, Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Experience

• Professional qualification and registration in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, Counselling, or a related discipline (HCPC, BACP, UKCP, BABCP or equivalent).

Duties of the role include the following:

• Customer service
• Operating till & cash handling
• Signing customers up to Gift Aid scheme & inputting gift aid data if required

Role summary

To participate as a member of the Maintenance Team covering general maintenance, domestic and health and safety duties. A good level of fitness is required for this role.

Main duties of the role

• To undertake simple maintenance tasks such as painting, PPM (planned preventative maintenance), erecting shelving, etc

• To undertake tasks such as sweeping external areas, jet washing of car park, removal of weeds, Hedge trimming,

Role summary

To participate as a member of the Catering Team involved in the provision of care to the patients, families and staff. Work alongside both the nursing and catering staff ensuring good communication and liaise between these areas. As this role will involve close contact with Hospice patients, an enhanced adult and child DBS check will need to be carried out before a start date can be offered.

Main duties of the role

• Wear appropriate clothing, enclosed shoes, supplied apron and identification badge.

• No jewellery other than a wedding band.

• Collect copy of daily bulletin from Ward Reception.

• Report to the Cook-in-Charge.

• Ensure that Hygiene, Health and Safety, and Fire Regulations are adhered to at all times.

As a Volunteer Community Connector, you will support the Compassionate Communities programme by helping to grow and strengthen community engagement by encouraging discussion around grief and loss.

Your role will involve:

• Supporting and facilitating ‘compassionate conversations’ in the community and promoting social connectedness. This may include signposting to relevant community support or care provision.

• Offering informal, empathetic listening and engagement around topics such as life limiting illness, caregiving, dying and bereavement.

Role Description

The Press/Media Manager will work closely with the Communication Officer to lead on the Pagan Federation's media strategy. You will act as a primary point of contact for journalists, broadcasters, and media outlets working to promote positive coverage of Paganism and to respond appropriately to media interest, engaging in both proactive and reactive.

You will develop and oversee press strategies, prepare statements and press releases, brief spokespersons, and assist the organisation in sensitive communications where required. As this is a council-level role within the Pagan Federation you will be expected to provide regular reports to the Communications Officer and the Council of the Pagan Federation.

This is a voluntary role, and volunteers are expected to work remotely. We have volunteers working across England and Wales. Some travel may be necessary, reasonable expenses will be covered in line with our expenses policy.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience in the field of Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or similar. (Essential)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in media engagement. (Essential)

This flexible home volunteering role is worthwhile and rewarding. Make a real difference writing letters. As a Volunteer Penpal Writer you’ll be a key member of the Letterbox Team. Your letters will cheer someone up and establish a trusting, supportive relationship with a client who might be lonely or socially isolated.

What tasks can this role include (some or all of the following):

• Writing letters to clients
• Building trust and companionship with a client through correspondence. Omega befriends a variety of people including: caregivers, the lonely, isolated or people with ill-health.
• Liaising with the Letterbox Team by email or post.
• Respecting service standards, appropriate boundaries and recognising the policies and procedures that are necessary when befriending adults at risk.
• Making suggestions to help us improve the service we provide to clients and Volunteer Pen pal Writers.
