Help adults in your community transform their lives through reading. As Local Fundraiser, you'll play a vital role in helping your local Read Easy group raise the funds needed to provide free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading.
Working as part of the group's Management Team and Board of Trustees, you'll help develop a fundraising plan, identify local funding opportunities and build relationships with businesses, community organisations and grant-making bodies. You'll write funding applications, coordinate fundraising activities where appropriate and help recognise and thank those who support the group. The Management Team meets approximately every 6–8 weeks to work together on the strategic direction of the group.
Previous fundraising experience is welcome but not essential. Volunteer Lay Members of Chapter
We are seeking three new lay volunteers to join the Chapter, the Cathedral's governing body and board of trustees.
Position: Lay Members of Chapter
Location: Chichester
Contract: Chapter members are appointed for an initial three-year period and may be reappointed for a further three years.
Chapter meets 6 or 7 times a year and these are, ideally, in-person meetings held at the Cathedral though it can usually accommodate online participation. These meetings are generally up to three hours long and members are also required to prepare in advance. About the Charity
Since 2014, Barking Mad Dog Rescue has been rescuing and rehoming hundreds of abandoned dogs and cats from the Castelu area in Constanta, Romania. We have provided veterinary care and second chances to animals in desperate nee, but our work is just beginning.
We are a lean, committed team of passionate volunteers working remotely across the UK, supporting a dedicated team working on the ground in rural Romania, where resources are severely limited and where access to modern infrastructure is precarious. Role Overview
As our Fundraising Lead, you will play a vital role to help deliver BMDR’s mission, driving the development and delivery of the charity’s fundraising strategy and all related projects and materials.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will design and help us implement a multi‑channel fundraising strategy that includes regular giving, corporate sponsorships, legacy gifts and other income‑generating programmes.

Make a Difference with Essex Respite & Care Association (ERCA)
Are you experienced in finance or accounting and looking for a rewarding way to give back to your local community?
At Essex Respite & Care Association (ERCA), we are seeking a Volunteer to join our charity and help support the important work we do for adults living with dementia, mental health conditions, and other long-term health needs across Essex.
This voluntary role requires approximately 2–3 hours per week and offers the opportunity to use your financial skills to make a real difference.
The Role
Maintain oversight of the charity's financial records.
Help keep our accounts up to date and well organised.
Prepare and review profit and loss reports and other financial information.
Work alongside the Charity Manager and Board of Trustees to support good financial governance.
Provide financial guidance where appropriate.
About You
Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a similar financial role.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confident working with financial information.
A commitment to supporting a local charity and its values.
A full handover will be provided by our outgoing Treasurer, ensuring you have the support needed to settle into the role.

Asist is an acronym for Advocacy Services in Staffordshire and Stoke-on Trent. Asist provides specialist independent advocacy support focused on one to-one, issue-based advocacy for adults, children and young people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and/or mental health issues.
We support adults, children and young people to make small and big decisions in their own lives and to speak to services who make decisions because of a person’s health or disability. Advocacy is about enabling all people to have an equal voice in the choices and decisions that affect their lives.
