As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You can expect us to

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances

· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

dmtr tackles global hunger and the interconnected challenges of climate change, poverty, and low productivity for smallholder farmers. Over 670 million people face chronic undernourishment, often due to poor access to finance, climate shocks, and inefficient food systems leading to significant waste.

Fundraising & Development Lead

Purpose: Drives all fundraising efforts including donor engagement, grant applications, and funding partnerships

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, institutions, and individuals.
• Write and manage grant applications and donor reports.
• Build donor pipelines and steward relationships.
• Collaborate on campaign messaging and fundraising events

Essential Skills:

• Grant writing, impact fundraising, donor relations
• Familiarity with the social innovation and AgTech funding landscape

Role title: Community Fundraising Volunteer

Location: Scotland

Time commitment: Flexible (at least 2-3 hrs a month)

What we're looking for

We're looking for enthusiastic, creative and organised people across the nation to be a Community Fundraising Volunteer. Around 90 per cent of our income comes from our supporters and we couldn't continue doing what we do without them. That means, our community fundraising volunteers play a really important part in rallying people together to raise vital funds which help to protect children and prevent abuse.

What you'll do

You'll volunteer without regular time commitments, ‘as and when' volunteering! Engage with the public, organisations and local communities – promoting a positive image of the NSPCC! You'll be a valued part of one of our Volunteer Community Fundraising Teams across the UK, raising awareness and funds. We appreciate that work, family and friends come first and, with that in mind, this role offers flexibility to fit in with your lifestyle. You only need to commit to a couple of hours a month, but if you want to do more that would be great.

What you'll get

We'll support you with advice, skills and tools to help you fundraise and spread the word of the NSPCC. You'll learn more about how you're helping to protect children across the UK, and you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and inspire others to support us. It's also a chance to spend time with like-minded people and make new friends.

Trustee: Fundraising

Help guide a rare disease charity through its next chapter

As a small but passionate UK-based charity, we are seeking a Trustee with a background in fundraising to help us build sustainable income streams. With no current UK-based staff and limited resources, your expertise will be instrumental in helping us grow our fundraising capacity and secure vital funding for research, family support, and advocacy.

In this role, your responsibilities could include:

• Leading the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy

We are a movement of people championing the welfare of cats. We lead society in a richer understanding of all cats and care for those that need our help. 

Our Volunteer led branches operate within local communities nationwide and rely on funds donated by generous members of the public to continue to help cats and kittens in need of new homes, supporting owners with neutering, managing trap, neuter and return programmes and educating people about cat welfare. 

Our fundraising volunteers are part of a passionate team that help raise funds to help cats. They help plan and deliver exciting and varied fundraising events, which can be anything from craft fairs, cake sales, sponsored abseils – and anything in between!

Position: Board of Director - Fundraising & Partnerships Expert (Unpaid Volunteer Role)

Reports to: Board Chairperson

Location: Hybrid (remote + in-person events as needed)

Purpose: To lead all donor relations, sponsorships, and income-generation initiatives.
