Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) is recognised for its work to reduce undernutrition globally. We enhance the effectiveness of nutrition policy and programming by improving knowledge, stimulating learning, connecting key actors and building evidence. Our vision is that every individual caught up in a nutritional emergency, or suffering from malnutrition anywhere in the world, gets the most effective help possible. We undertake knowledge management, research, and advocacy to support national governments, civil society, UN agencies, donors and academic organisations, and communities of practitioners. Through our work and collaborations, we support agencies and individuals to implement evidence-based nutrition programming, predominantly in low- and middle-income countries and in fragile and conflict-affected states.

What we do
ENN’s work includes our “Field Exchange” publication that provides up to date information from research, programme learnings, and news from the sector, generated by practitioners, and distributed to our large network of researchers, practitioners and policy makers globally. We have projects specialising in Infant Feeding in Emergencies, Wasting and Stunting, Maternal and Adolescent Nutrition and support for Small and Nutritionally at-risk Infants under six months & their mothers and also manage a peer-to-peer forum offering timely answers to the questions challenging those on the front line of providing services to treat and prevent malnutrition in the world. ENN does not directly implement programmes but works to improve the effectiveness of all nutrition practitioners by helping to shape policy and practice at global and national levels.
Key Tasks
· Translate short documents or messages from English to French, particularly technical content related to malnutrition prevention and treatment.
· Assist in the drafting or translation of social media posts for ENN’s French-speaking audience.
· Attend and take minutes for virtual meetings held in French, involving health and nutrition practitioners working in Francophone Africa.
· Provide feedback and quality assurance on French translations, once familiar with ENN’s tone, terminology, and referencing glossaries (ENN, GNC, etc.).
· Where relevant, support in identifying contacts in Francophone regions for interviews, written contributions, or presentations aligned with ENN’s technical areas of focus.
Requirements
- Fluency in French (C1 or C2 level) with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Good comprehension of English, particularly written English, in order to translate accurately.
- Ability to volunteer time on a flexible, ad hoc basis. Regular times each week may be agreed if preferred.
- Familiarity with or background in nutrition, health, or humanitarian contexts.
- Attention to detail and an interest in contributing to high-quality, impactful communications.

Do you live in Wales and want to gain valuable skills, have new experiences, and support vulnerable people?
We are offering 1 young person aged 18-25 the opportunity to volunteer for up to 11 months with the French Red Cross (Croix Rouge) in Montrouge. The programme will run from September 2025 – August 2026 (subject to visas).
You will join the head office communication department of Croix-Rouge insertion, a programme funded by the French Red Cross that enables destitute young people, homeless people and long-term jobseekers to re-connect to the labour market, through civic participation. An intermediate to fluent level of written and spoken French is essential for this role and you will have the opportunity to further develop your written skills in French and gain experience in communicating across a range of channels, as well as developing your conversational French through lessons provided by Croix Rouge.
On your arrival in France, you will take part in a 3 days on-arrival seminar in Paris, where you will get to know your national coordinators and other European volunteers. You will also have the opportunity to discover the beautiful city of Paris before leaving for your placement role! Your role involves volunteering for a maximum of 35 hours per week, including French lessons and a personal project.

Typical tasks may involve:

Role Overview
This is a pivotal volunteer-to-permanent role ideal for someone who is highly experienced in grant writing or fundraising strategy and wants to be part of a revolutionary, culturally rooted mission. About the Project – “Solta o Jogo”
“Solta o Jogo” is a vibrant cultural competition and festival that celebrates Brazilian heritage through Capoeira, music, dance, acrobatics, and a Brazilian arts fair. Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, this event engages the local community through free performances, classes, and exhibitions.
As part of this project, we are looking for a Data Analyst who can help us measure community impact, inform decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement across programme delivery. This is a hybrid volunteer role, ideal for someone based near Kingston (travel expenses will be reimbursed). You’ll gain valuable experience working in the non-profit sector and help shape a high-profile cultural programme that has received praise from local councillors, Kingston University, and the Brazilian Consulate in London.

The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting Quilombo UK’s community and cultural initiatives by collecting, managing, analysing, and reporting data related to engagement, outreach, and programme impact. This role is crucial to enabling data-driven decision-making across teams and enhancing the visibility of outcomes to stakeholders and funders.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:

Gather, clean, and manage datasets from sources including attendance logs, feedback surveys, fundraising data, and project reports.

Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and organisation across internal records.
Analysis & Insight Generation:

Identify trends and patterns to evaluate the effectiveness of “Solta o Jogo” programming.

Support strategy development through analysis of community engagement, volunteer participation, and performance indicators.
Reporting & Visualisation:

Build user-friendly dashboards and visuals to support internal teams and partner reporting needs.

Present clear summaries and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work with Programme, PR, and Marketing teams to align data insights with communication strategies and outreach efforts.

Provide data-driven inputs for programme evaluation and future planning.
Continuous Improvement:

Required Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor's degree or working toward a qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Social Research, or related field.
Experience:

About the position
The IT support role is vital to the organisation, as they will have the responsibility for the maintenance of the technical appliances used in the organisation. The IT support will not be required to come in on a weekly basis, but upon request as for when it is needed. The main tasks for the IT support will be reassuring all technical appliances are updates, responding to potential breakdowns and assuring electrical safety. Technical skills are required, in addition to flexibility, as they would need to quickly respond to potential breakdowns etc.
The role provides you with flexibility and autonomy at work. Where necessary, specific training will also be provided to help you develop and grow your skill set.
