We work in Ghana to eliminate the burden of blood acquisition on providers and patients in crisis by leveraging technology to galvanize the public to increase Ghana’s Blood Collection Index to greater than 10 by 2030, because no patient in crisis should die from unavailability of blood products.

Ghana at 5.6 per 1000 population, is significantly behind WHO minimum standard [10 per 1,000 population] required to meet a country’s basic transfusion needs. As a result, restrictive blood disbursement policies have resulted in delayed care for critical patients in Ghana and in many cases, avoidable deaths.

We believe that public communities can be mobilized to close gaps in health care delivery, particularly in developing countries. BloodForce plans to build an online blood donor community that can reliably and meaningfully increase blood donation rates in Ghana while helping patients and families navigate their blood product health crises. This community will also serve as a platform for advocacy and education, strengthening transfusion services across the country.

We're looking for a Youth Volunteer Activity Worker to support young people aged 8–16 at our local community hall two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3–7pm).

About the Role

Children With Voices is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical volunteer to help update our Impact Report (Deck) from 2021. This report highlights the charity’s achievements, including the number of people we have fed, the services we have provided, and our overall community impact.

We have multiple internal documents holding updated information, and we need a dedicated volunteer to extract key data, organise it, and integrate it into the updated version of the report. This role is crucial in highlighting the charity’s progress to funders, partners, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

•Review & audit the 2021 Impact Report – Identify outdated sections and areas requiring updates.

•Data Collection & Analysis – Extract key metrics from internal documents, including food distribution numbers, volunteering efforts, and service impact.

•Update & Refine Content – Ensure the report is accurate, well-structured, and engaging.

•Create Visual Data Representations – Develop simple charts or infographics to illustrate key findings (if applicable).

•Ensure Consistency in Branding & Messaging – Maintain a professional and cohesive tone aligned with Children With Voices’ mission.

•Collaborate with Team Members – Work with staff to verify data and gather additional insights.

•Finalise & Format the Updated Report – Prepare the document for internal review and external presentation.

Skills & Experience Required

• Research and identify companies and individuals to approach for silent auction prize donations for our 70th-anniversary event, which aims to raise £30,000 to support children and adults with complex needs.
• Contact potential prize donors via email and phone.
• Accurately log all donor communications and prize details on team files and our database.
• Collect key prize information (descriptions, terms, expiry dates) and arrange/coordinate delivery of prizes and vouchers for the event.
• Assist with essential event administration, including creating name badges, inputting guest access and dietary requirements onto a central system, and compiling guestlists onto a check-in system.
• Option to provide event day support on the evening of November 26th in central London.
• Opportunity to gain insight into other areas of event management based on interest, such as invitation concept development, donor stewardship, or drafting communications.

Do you have a great idea to benefit people living with MS? At the MS Society, we campaign on a range of issues like welfare, treatments, care and support that people with MS need. We want to do more locally and want to support your ideas on making change happen. Together we can do more.

Perhaps you’ve spotted there are no blue badge spaces at your local supermarket? Or maybe your neighbourhood has no kerbs easy for wheelchairs to use? In this volunteer role, you’ll help drive change for people with MS in your community and develop your networking and influencing skills along the way.

As a campaigner you’ll bring your own ideas, local knowledge and personal experience to your campaigns. You’ll make decisions about your own campaign activities and collaborate with other campaigners in your area.

This role is flexible and aims to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities and the campaigning you’d like to do. This is an ongoing role.

As a volunteer Newsletter Writer, you will support RollaDome All Skate’s communication efforts by contributing to the creation of engaging newsletters. This role offers the chance to build your writing skills while helping to keep the community informed about our events and programs. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Write, edit, and proofread content for the monthly newsletter. 

• Collect information from team members, programs, and events to include in the newsletter. 

• Assist in formatting and laying out the newsletter for email distribution. 

• Help track the effectiveness of newsletters through performance analytics. 

• Contribute to brainstorming new content ideas and newsletter features. 

Skills & Qualifications 

• Interest in writing, communications, or related fields. 

• Strong written communication and editing skills. 

• Familiarity with social media and email marketing tools. 

• Ability to manage time and work independently. 

• Detail-oriented with a creative approach to content. 

Commitment 

• Minimum 15 hours per week, with flexible hours.
