Role Summary.

We are looking for creative and enthusiastic Content Writers to join our newly forming content team. You will help produce inspiring, well-researched blog articles, website content, and resources that connect with our audience and communicate the values and mission of Roots Academy. You’ll also learn valuable SEO writing techniques to ensure your content is discoverable and impactful.

Key tasks

• Research and write clear, engaging, and original content for our website, newsletter, and blog.

• Incorporate keywords and SEO recommendations provided by the SEO Specialist.

• Ensure content aligns with Roots Academy’s brand voice and tone.

• Collaborate with the SEO Specialist and wider team to review and refine drafts.

• Suggest new content topics based on research, trends, and audience needs.

We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for our Haringey group. As our local Group Coordinator you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct and support other group volunteers to make sure your group’s activities meet the needs of your local MS community. Large brands and agencies dominate the sports sponsorship marketplace. As a result, many athletes, including female, disabled, and LGBTQ+ athletes from various ethnicities or lower socioeconomic backgrounds, are often left without sponsors and access to what they need to reach their potential.

In addition, many sponsors need help finding and developing a genuine connection with an athlete, which leads to issues connecting with their audiences. There is no way to search for sponsors or athletes directly without involving costly agencies. Transparency and self-management are crucial in democratising the marketplace. The opportunity to make this sector more equitable is now.

We have built an innovative self-managed athlete-sponsorship platform focused on unique connections between sponsors and athletes. Sponsors, athletes, and fans can sign-up. Athletes create a public profile page with information and media about themselves. Sponsors create campaigns which athletes & teams search and apply for. In addition, all users can follow athletes who post on our social feed. Negotiation steps are in-built before the contract is confirmed; secure payment is taken for the sponsorship amount and held securely. As milestones are reached, an athlete's payment percentage is released, protecting both sides. our latest build has developed our campaign area, where marketing assets are now auto-generated in the brand and athlete voice through AI and ML implementation. Once a campaign has gone live, there is now a dashboard that shows its engagement success and delivers the data points you would expect to understand for each campaign alongside a social value calculation that maps to the SDGs and other CSR markers.

Would you like to support the unpaid carers of people with mental health issues? We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring person to join our management committee.

Kingston Mental Health Carers’ Forum is a small but active charity that represents unpaid mental health carers (ie Family, Friends) in the Royal Borough of Kingston. Local statutory services recognize our collective voice and campaigning role and actively engage us in policy making and service development.

Our current team - all volunteers - includes people with professional skills and lived experience of being mental health carers. Because of this we understand the issues facing carers, for them personally and their loved ones. We provide 1:1 advice and guidance, and encourage self-empowerment.

We hold a monthly support group and keep members up to date on current mental health provision. We believe that supporting carers’ wellbeing will also help their loved ones, aiming for the best possible mental health.

We want to grow our membership and develop our services. As a volunteer with the relevant professional skills, lived experience and a strong motivation to serve our local community, you can contribute to shaping the future direction of KMHCF.

As we have no paid staff, we are particularly keen to hear from those who can also offer to take hands-on responsibility for moving the development of our service forward. This might indicate an applicant who offers professional skills, but is now retired and would like to serve the community.

Long Covid Support is a registered charity committed to advocating for and supporting individuals living with Long Covid. Our work includes peer support, awareness campaigns, and partnership building to address the ongoing needs of people with Long Covid across the UK.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to establish two in-person peer support networks for individuals with Long Covid in underserved communities in England and Wales. This is a dynamic and collaborative role, ideal for someone with strong project management skills and a passion for community-based health support.

• Identify and scope two target areas with high prevalence and need for Long Covid support.
• Collaborate with the Peer Support Lead, local contacts, and established community groups.

2. Assessment of Resources and Gaps

• Map existing services, networks, and links to the charity’s current support offerings.

• Recruit and train volunteer facilitators to run group sessions.

Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role will support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. Youth Leaders also help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be, as well as supervise and support other adult volunteers in their team.

You’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.
